i really dont know what to do as far as heat, i am going to pick up a heatin blanket this weekend and see what happens, but other than that, it seems that all things have come to a halt.i stopped the smaller fan i had in there for circulation and that helped a lil to not cool things down so much.

but they are where they were

IF ANYTHING THOUGH I DO HAVE A SMOKE REPORT FROM THAT NUG I DRIED!!!
so of course i use my bubbler as it is my favorite method to try things out with. first i try with water, then if i don't like that, i dump the water and try as a regular pipe.

it was smooth at first, and it was definitely heady. it was sweet with a fruity fragrance to the exhale, so it was the same going in as it was going out. if anything it definitely needs to flower some more, as it is not ready yet.

so i will be getting the heating blanket up and running this weekend and see what the difference is. i of course owe it to all those watching so i will be updating again on Sunday.

I really do want to apologize for not keeping things up to par with this thread. Since turkey day is fast coming upon us, wife and I have been trying to get things together with the house and all., so as many others, I too have been busy.

Here are some more microscope pics I took, I really wanted to see the trichs and see whether or not anything has changed at all. They are all still clear, but the pistils are changing . I would say it was a good 70/30 on the white pistil side, but now it seems to be the same number but things have swung in favor for the browns!!! Enjoy. . .

man i have so fallen in love with growing, you guys jsut dont have any idea, but i will be back with mnore pics when i install teh heating blanket. i had to wait since i watered them ina hurry and there was some water spillage (flash backs , flashbacks!!!)

but everything is good, will do it later, but right now back to work on teh homestead. . .

I KNOW YOUR RIGHT CHUBBY, GOD KNOWS I DO , BUT DAMNIT MAN, WHEN , WHEN, WHEN!?!??!?! no BS,i am kinda going crazy over here, and sinc ei got your eye, dod you think the heating blanket woudl make a difference? i am thinking maybe i should go for the pistil with this one as far as my marker, instead of the trichs. i know,i know i am being overxzealous agian, but damnit man, i cant help it!! they look so frosty, and i aint got nuttin ta puff on!!!

the one thing i know i am gonna be thrilled aobut is when i get to alcohol bathe the trim i get and get some oil!!! i had my dad surrender his everclear for the cause

but as i was tellin phillypride, i just cant call it bruh ya know? i mean i dont wanna pick them too early and then they not amount to much of nothing, but i was in the closet this morning (god that doesnt sound right) adn noticed that the tops of the older ones (the ones i am waiting on to finish) have a rotten fruit smell to them. now i dont know if its one way to tell if the plant is ready to chop, since teh trichs arent really tellin me anything, or am i gonna have a good portion of the tops be lost to rot? i just cant tell (<---seriously). what does that rotten smell mean? they were so sweet a couple days ago!!!

i was sitting there with the plant infront of me, pulling, bending,prying apart, pretty much everything you see done at a cannabis cup to taste test ripe / fresh buds. in other parts of that main cola, everything smells fantastic!! its jsut that damned top! and i wanted to so smoke that thing whole. those were gonna be my treat to myself, keep the mian colas for myself and give the rest away to fam/friends (first grow etiquette and all)

haaaaa boy anyway, im gonna go shoot some pool for an hour and wait for you guys to respond. gotta take my mind off this sh.it.

REAL TALK: i know i dont know you guys , but i really do appreciate all this help. i really wish i could smoke with the people that have helped me along the way man, really do. im one of those cats where growin/smokin is not just a hobby but has become a tru way to live and is in my heart for sure

I feel you bro but the extra days waiting will pay off in the long run especially since you have to dry for 7-10 days to be smokable and then for true primo smoke it must cure for at least 2 weeks until the true palate comes through, so it is a process. I can tell you from prior experiences Trich development means alot; Back in the day I used to go off hair color, lol after half of the white hairs turn brown/red it was harvest time lol I have since learned better, Trich development is the key for obtaining the highs that we truly strive for and not disapointment. if you were to experiment and take plants down with clear trichs vs plants taken down with cloudy to amber trichs guess who the winner would be? try to wait until at least %25 of trichs are cloudy that would be early but acceptable you really want to wait until %25 of trichs are amber and the rest are cloudy gives a overall more complex high. Here is a pic of some Mango harvested with cloudy trichs

ok ok man, i gotchya , im gonna hold on for the duration, i know that the trichs are the way to go, but man, these SSH got me goin through it!!!. i got he heating blanket in there, so im gonna see what happens with that. i wanted to see if i coudl get a couple heating mat, but it just didn't make sense since im using bags atleast 11" tall, i need that side heat as well, so flat mats. . .nah.

hey now that your here, what are those mango (%indica%sativa). i read about these strains so long ago and cant remember anything. thats a round of seeds i plan to order besides jack herer and chronic.

if things go right for me, i may be able to get to a private but serious cannabis cup event which = getting seeds of some new homegrown/crossed strains. trying to get more detailed info on it to see if seeds are gonna be available, but "the judge" (lucky bastard) doesn't know too much more than where its gonna be and a couple people that are gonna be there.

i put some frankencense rocks in the fire place for good vibes, calm ma nerves, lord knows i need to.

I am not sure the % indica vs Sativa with the mango but I would lean toward Indica not a heavy stretcher and it only goes 50+ days. Trust me bro you will be glad you waited only the difference in a few days just make sure you keep checking the trichs at least once a day!

Shouldnt be mold or rot on the top colas. Do they look healthy and if you pull back a nug can you see any rot near the main stem? Sure hope not. I am thinking the smell is from the plant getting more ripe and getting closer to the end of its life cycle.

yeah , i think mango is going to be one of the first five strains i order, i have had some strains in mind, but over time choices have changed. dont you worry bruh, i normally check the plants themselves every mornin' but its gonna be about the trich's from now on!

just as healthy as the day they popped chubby, i smelled then today and noticed that odor was gone. really dont know what it was. maybe i was taking out garbage, or doing something else and was not aware, you know how odors linger in the nostrils at times, but you raise a valid point though, i will make sure to check the inner part of the top cola, just to be on the safe side

Wow FRIENDinDEED, i have to give you props man, your plants look amazing... and SSH no less! I've been interested in that strain for a while as a smoker... i dont know if i could grow it tho... i'd be too impatient, haha. I have some Biko II seeds and those are 65 to 75 day flower times, even those seem to be too long for me. I've heard Rez is going to release some super silver sour diesel haze in a few months... if i can snag a bag of those beans i'll be real happy but I'm positive if you let those go 80+ days it'll pay off big time. They just look fantastic. I wouldn't think you'd have many bud rot issues indoors if your humidity is low and you have that fan going constantly... i had some mold issues with my outdoor crop and most people i talk to about indoors never really have rot issues... usually just pest issues. Any way good luck man, im with philly... you definitely want at least 30% amber trics before pulling... plus the longer you let the trics develop the more fattening up your plants will probably do. Good luck with the rest, i'll have to keep checking in on this one, your truly doing a great job.

OK TURKEY DAY WAS THE SHIT!!! first home, first run, wifey wrecked it hands down and i played sue-chef (is that how you even spell it) to her iron chef!! lmao needless to say it was a hellova day!!!

so i was tryin my damndest to take a couple picsof the trichs to see where i was in regards to amber and cloudy. i have been watching them everyday, but in light of me having to update i decided to take pics today and what happens. . . LIGHTS OUT!! and just as i wasn gonna take a second gorgeous trich pic! (pissed!!!) so i decided to take that opportunity to take some lights out pics while they were stil fresh from teh light, and they came out better than what i expected. and with these maybe whatever newb looks at these will understand why you should " ALWAYS BUBBLE YOUR WATER FOR ATLEAST 24 HOURS B4 YOU WATER!!!". . onto the show. . .

Yes it is confirmed by my bud who grew the ssh for the last seven years. Flush heavy and chop. He also said that three days before you chop cut off all the big leaves and you wont regret it. Wish i could of showed you pics of his grow but unfortunately he is in court fighting his grow case.
