man i dont know about anyone else, but i can live with a couple seeds to be honest since i dont really know when i will be able to order some new genetics.

i jsut dont want it to be that there are seeds everywhere then that means that my potency woudl have diminished to a degree

i want them to get this damned thing up and running myself since i have updated i want to post!!! but hopefully it will be soon, these IC mag guys are awesome to be honest!!!

ok so i jsut went to cut a couple more popcorn nugs and cut a side branch by accident, so i hung it by the furnace/heater. its warm in there now, but it will get cooler at some point. i am gonna check it after a week and see how it holds up. i am gonna put it through the rigors of an actual dry/cure to get the real taste of the SSH.

oh and BTW i noticed that the plants are now turning purple, so needless to say, you can tell how cold it is in my cab. so ofcourse i am really excited about them now. i am gonna give those popcorn nugs a good look under teh scope and see what i see. i am really thinking about giving them the chop on my next day off, but only this scoping will determine that.

my RH is 53% right now, in 41.5F, out 50.3F. i moved the probe to the top of the cab so i will check it in teh morning while the lights are still on to see what i get reading wise.

well if anything atleast i can say i have grown in all types of weather!! lmao

yeah bruh , damned cold up north, OUTSIDE!!!! too chicken shit!! lmao i was thinking abou tit, but not unitl the fence goes up. we kinda just moved here, and i dont know who the hell is who, so security is a concern, not a major one but for anyone that grows its a concern (you know what i mean,i just dont wanns sound crazy about it, but i do watch my back)

ok so now that we have upload back here are those pics i promised,

so heres the hygrometer/thermometer deal i was tellin you all about, and the kinda temps i am dealing with. the top #is inside the cab, middle # is out and bottom # is RH%

heres what they looked like after i trimmed those bad fan leaves off


and just some progress shots as of late. . .

one thing i have noticed is that there is a purplish hue forming on the younger bud sites and tips/tops of the plants, i am sure it has eveything to do with the temps, but i just hope they dont go into budrot or something crazy like that. . .
ofcourse i had to take my usual tester nuggets, but honeslty these were taken so i could sit down and really see where the trichs are at as far as color. they still seem to be pretty clear to me with very few turning totally amber and most of the trichomes turning partially cloudy

there was one of the branches that got cut during my cutting of one of the popcorn nugs, so i took that opportunity to just take a whole bud off and dry/cure it the regular way.

and heres a pic for all those that done think transplanting during flowering is not worth it, this bracnh was 1/4 of the size it is now, b4 i transplanted. so its kinda like my indicator bracnh if you will, when i transplanted i was looking for signs of difference and there she was jsut reachin for that big bright artificial star!!! lol adn dont get it twisted , not only this branch but the plant all over fattend up quite a bit!!

the new micrsoscope works wonders and lets me really see where i am as far as trich production. i am thinking that i do have a ways to go from what i have seen. but to be honest i am gonn adefintely let the hanging branch be the deciding factor as to whether they get the chop now or later. i love that thing but the fact that its a sativa and its cold seems to be only prolonging the "growing out" of the plant. and besides i have some NYCD that seem to be getting very impatient for their turn to flourish, so needless to say , gotta keep it moving. so far i have found a good number of seeds and can only guess that it was pollinated while i was handling the males. its ok though, since i only had 12 to begin with, lost 4 at germination (i mean they literaly fell out of my hands and i couldnt find them) and i had four left.. . . with the cutting or little popcorn nugs, i have found 6 seeds so far, and they all look better than the originals that i got, so i am truly happy about that.

well that nug has been hanigng/cdrying for the last 3 days, nice dark, warm spot near the furnace so it should dry by the end of the week and i am gonna cure it for about 2-3 weeks.

oh man i woudl not even know, this is my first real sucessful grow! gotta be honest there, so knowing the weight is something i would have to learn after weighing them learn how much that amount would be. learn as you go right?

yeah joe, hell there was alotta growth all over after i transplanted so the extra soil was worth giving it a go, i noticed that the buds on the older two fattend up and the bottom branches got longer and thicker as well, especially one in particular.

see the thing sis, those bottom branches are gonna be the ones to grow out longer that any of the lower branches like in the youtube video diary where they grew one of these under one light in a hellacious pot. The lowest bottom branches damn near extended themselves almost as long as the main cola did!

if you look at my full shot cab pics, you ll see that my big two have thick lower branches but all the ones i cloned were really tall. they’re tall because they are the side lowest branches that are supposed to get long, i figured i'd come out better for having cloned those than having to wait for the smaller side branches (if I took any of them as clones) to veg out.

and man, did i miss out on the height even still!, i regret not letting them veg out to atleast a foot tall and then putting them into flower. shit i could a ended up with close to a lb on my first run!! they are about 22+ inches tall and i have about 3 feet more of grow height in there.

i wanted to test a nug with the proper dry/cure process. i smoked another nug to hold me over until i see how this curing one does and that was heavenly to say the least. hers my other stash jar that cant wait to be filled aswell. . .

So are you saying your breaking the rootball at different timings to get different effects? Nice plants by the way. Thick buds. It looks like the cold weather did your plants a few favors.

hey man nice to see ya here!! well i cant say i know what post/thread your particular question is pertaining to, but i will give the answer the best way i know how. the breaking up of the root ball is something that i got from BLAZEONEUP'S organic soil grow thread. what he did, and what i noticed when i did it, was that the plants didn’t seem to go into any shock from transplant at all. they stayed green and lush through out..

when you transplant, you take the plant, and roll the root mass back and forth to loosen it up. your going to have some of the soil left over near the base of the plant. what i then did was take the loose roots and spread them out over the new soil in the new container and gently pushdown a lil to firm up the placement of it. put about 2-4 inches of new soil and then water. i try to do all of this at the beginning of lights on. it has worked phenomenally well so far, wouldn’t do it any other way.

it kind of helps them spread their roots faster. Meaning to say, instead of the roots having to grow out and then down, , with that transplant technique all the roots would have to do is really grow down, and since they are spread out, they end up using more of the plant container space. It’s a very simple thing, but ill be damned if it wasn’t effective as all hell!

The greatest example are those NYCD I got going on. they were the last set I transplanted and they are going nuts in there as far as growth. They looked nothing like that when I had them in the 1gl plastic pots, but I saw that the grow bags were a good deal bigger, so I transplanted them., I was thinking about putting them into bigger pots but since I gonna be vegging them but the way their going theres no need to

thanks for the response friendindeed. I was wondering also about the timing of this, maybe it would be a good thing for me to PM blazeoneup about. I was hoping I could do this in flower because it seems I don't have enough root mass no matter what by the end. I feel like its wasting tons of dirt and eventually waterlogging the soil causing lockout/ph problems.

i know what you mean about thinking it a waste of dirt, but the way it worked out for me is that , i saw i had a couple branches on the plants that just werent looking to propserous and meager while the other /upper buds were filling out.

i said what the heck what harm could it do, for the roots tohave a lil extra soil? but alotta branches filled out alot more, meanig to say what ever stretching the plant wanted/needed to do, i caught it just in time for it too happen, i would say i had a ratio of 80/30-white/brown pistils. so i knew i had a good amount of time for them to try and fill out, i would say if you know your about 2-3 weeks from flush then give it a shot. those 2+ weeks had significant/apparent affect on a very otherwise unnoticable part of the plant.

tell what you decide to do, and when you do it. it would be good to see someone else experience som growth aswell. if you do it right, the whole process wont be too time consuming.

well since this is the last hoorah lets get down too it. . .


they are more dense and the smell has gone down a lil bit. the buds that i was able to smoke, with the quick dry method and regular dry/cure method teh smoek was better regular cure for sure!! of all the buds i have partaken of there has been aprox. 7seeds so its not really seedy as i thought they would be.! so it hits nice in a bong or pipe, hits nicley in a blnt aswell, but it does depend on the smootheness of the wrap itsself. some random shots if you will of these lovely ladies. . .





they are looking healthy except for those leaves that i thougth would have come back with some watering adn nutes, i guess you win some and you lose some, but ive got teh better prize in the end and let me tell you guys about my lil wake and bake session!! stay tuned. . .

I don't thik it's possible to bring those yellow leaves back once they fry or dry out too much.
Even once they get too yellow. Thats it for them.
Just add that molasses and it will be fine.
The fan leaves mostly produce sugars. So since they are yellow,just give em molasses.
Thats what I do if I screw up.

so here we are once again WAKIN AND BAKIN!!! for me is not just any day. this day starts the the end of my first official grow. so i wanted to salute the fine plant that i grew, a salute to the cat that gave me the beans, a salute to IC mag for riding it out with me, salute to all the mags ive bought with the bomb as advice, my wife for being who she is, saluting all those that have helped me along the way and supported me. since i cant be witih you guys i guess i can only share those highlights of the "saluting session" i just had. . . .

so some of the cured bud is what i had a taste of outside of a blunt i rolled, a nice fatty too, smoked while i was playin pool, startin to get that 5 in a row and allat!! but in a pipe or bong, this smoke is blissful to say the least. it gets your head low, gets you to soaring and then brings you back slowly and gently so heres the setup as it went. .


now i was able to get down one tube after another of this elite strain and it is still hittin me as i speak. mind whirling , thinking about the next grow to come. smooth white ashe people, silky and chareged with that THC good ness we all love and yearn for. . .

the incense you see is something i got around the whole sale distric in manhatten called THE GOOD LIFE. there is so much to be found and had around this city its crazy!!


and this is exactly how it went, now you see it. . . . . now you dont, one after the other. . .


and this lil masterpiece is exactly how i wanted things to go down!! in my own first home, my own first home grown and my very first pipe that got at a steal cause i know my glass damnit!!. still cant believe this guy actually tried to hide this thing from me!!!! lol

yeah they have run their course and i know for next time not to underestimate those tell tale signs of nute deficinecy, but all in all, its the last feedign tomorrow, pure water, no molasses or anything, they are prime and ready to get that choppy chop chop!!!

wait for about a week afteri water them, give ema coupel days to a week of darkness and then . .. hack, slash!!! afro samurai style!! lol i seriously was thinking of using my machete too, you know, try to make it as authentic as possible! lmao, im so blazed right now!!! lol

ExcelAtIth man they are truly fat indeed!! i just smoked the last nug i had left form the true dry/cure i did and boy is that smoke the shit!!! you can never break a nug of this stuff apart and not smell that sweet SSH aroma!!! stone is nice and heavy but heady, smoke is sweet just like th trichomes that its made out of!! lol

smoked well in anything and i mean anything!!! papers, dutches, bluntvilles, pipes, bubblers, bongs, hookahs and even vaped some in a glass bulb!!! that bitch did the trick every time!!! high hits you mintes after the first 1-2 pulls!!! (ten pulls on any type roll and i was DONE!!!! im high right now as i am typing this!! that nug was atmost 0.3gr and i havfe been puffin on that shit for the past 3-4 hours out of my bubbler!!!! i cant leave these candy canes alone!!

damn near gonna be sorry to see them go. . . . . OH WELL!!! CHOP CHOP BABY!!! LMAO

Well folks this, as I said in the title was one helluva a ride on my journey. They are finally dried and curing as we speak. i think I might have pulled off about a ½ lb or so, honestly maybe a lil less.

Here they are all chopped and hung. . .

. . .That moisture you see back there is what made me pull them outta there and hang them up in my closet to dry. It was about 4 days while they were hanging before the rain started, then I moved them and they were hanging in the closet another 4 days, then I put them in the same room as my furnace for 2days. They dried a lil too well but retained some moisture for the curing process, making the manicuring/trimming process a whole lot easier.

and i had one hell of a trimming party (all by my onsey), but i made sure i had everything i needed. sharp scissors, razor blade, water, good movies on, music blastin, bong on my side, nice incense and a whole lotta patience and anticipation, well the pics will speak for themselves. . . .

. .. . and a whole lotta bud that was smellin awesome!!! nice and sweet, very low odor though, cant smell it unitl you get right up to the bud and crack it open!!!


now i dont know about anyone else but I am always glad to find a seed or two in a elite bag of weed or any grow. Ive always seen it as the gift that keeps on giving. . . wel provided you know what you need to do to grow. Lil shot of some lower smaller buds and the seeds



but nonetheless, it leads me up to the final day when i could fill up all the weed jars that i have!!! all teh hard work, patience, watching, waiting, watering, calculating is finally payed off after about 6+ years of being a newb to some degree. .


wel I don’t know what to say about all this, I thought I was gonna get teary eyed and crap, buti have been smoking so well these past days I haven’t had time to look at this in a negative, I mean how could i? really? I do feel some emotion about it all though, some what sad with a hint of relief. But anyway that’s all folks.

Now I may not be an expert but I have seen this strain through from beginning to end and have watched every thing I had done. If you have any questions about the SUPER SILVER HAZE STRAIN let me know and I can more than likely assist you. As I said though , this is a pit stop on a journey and now its gonna be all about the NEW YORK CITY DIESEL STRAIN.
