vp - yeah its a jungle right now. i need to take a half tray of cuts too so i can ditch my large glue mom and re start my sscdh x chemsour male

thanks pack man!

mushroombrew - this is my first time doing living mulch in the beds inside. i do know that, like any mulch, it reduces the moisture evaporating from the beds. and the clover is a nitrogen fixer and will increase nitrogen content in the soil. im not sure if ill let it go the full run or partially till it part way in, we shall see. ill probably evolve this to suit my personal needs, and i know ill be cover cropping with buttercrunch and some other lettuce this winter. just for fun really.

..that fuckery

..that fuckery

that fuckery looks to me like calcium. the interveinal damage/ spotting, then all the purple stems too, unless thats genetic purpling.

so the question is the ca locked out?
is it ph or another element blocking the absorption? is it not available cause they are young an root system cant keep up with light?

it could disappear once the roots system gets further established. but it could progress.

if it where me i would foliar spray calcium. if you want to stay organic, biomin calcium is one of the best products i was turned onto by a fellow grower here. game changer.

if not caring about organic, dissolvine e-ca-10.

back to the biominn calcium. foliar. an i would throw a tsp of epsom in the foliar since you are spraying. the biomin is a masked calcium in an amino acid. the acid is absorbed an moves through the plant quicker then if it was calcium alone. once the amino acid is quickly absorbed the ca starts getting consumed.

from what i learned about CA's role, from multiple agricultural studies, the way a plant demands it, it is one of the hardest minerals for a root system to breakdown an absorb then move thru the system. once its absorbed it is slow to move thru the plant. if i remember correct only the growth tip of the root system has the ability to absorb calcium. (i'll loook for the article an post after this ).

so foliar is the quickest an most efficient way. biominn, look it up, good stuff!!!

anyway, theres plenty of calcium to be had in the dirt, i just let it dry out while i was working on the room and i also starved the cups. so it takes a week or so for the plant to recover and for the soil to start kicking again. the new growth is already on point and they will move past this hiccup easily. i never worry about any issues that might arise at transplant as i tend to starve my cups. its an issue im trying to work on as i settle into a groove with timing the rounds out properly.

good tip lou! im glad your still around and kicking. ive got three different molds for shapes to distinguish between the candies. one will be hash (i have 7g of bubble hash) one will be rosin (have 7g rosin too) and one will be cbd/thc (looking for recommendations on cbd to order still) so hopefully i can start supplying myself with dependable pain relief and generating data to track and compile.
new lens came in, just an 18-55 to give me a closer range over my old 28-80. i got a wide angle attachment for now (35$ vs 350) so i can get the pics back up to snuff. i forgot the on board flash isnt tall enough to clear the front of the attachment, so im waiting on a new flash now.

Hi Nameless,

Theres a SD grower here on ICMag (IC handle is ECtraveler) who runs a CBD seed company called Med Tree Seeds. He won a High Times Cup at the recent 2017 SoCal Cannabis Cup in the CBD Flower category for one of his crosses, ACDC Cookies. Here's the link to the post in the San Diego's Finest Cuts thread where he shows the cup and some of the winning bud.

The SDFC folks have a get together every couple of months at one of the local breweries/pubs. I was able to meet him at the last one. He's a very nice, low key guy. He was generous to a fault almost, giving free seeds for some of his new crosses, etc.

Here's his list he gave us at the last meet up:

He got into CBD breeding and growing to make CBD based products for a family member with cancer. He's won or placed at several other CBD competitions as well. I think you could throw a dart at that list and come away with a winner for your needs

If you want to hit him up for some questions, pm me and i'll pass on what contact info I have.. He's on IG too.

Good luck.

Ever consider putting earthworms in your flowerbed? Do you remix the bed each time or just replant pretty much undisturbed? Would earthworms feed on the old decaying root matter? Does your inner child ever get the urge to play GI Joes/Star Wars in your private jungle? hmmm so many questions

i cant find a good source for clean worm eggs. the last time i tried, the 30$ lb of eggs was more springtails than worms. i need to get on that though. i dont turn the older bed anymore just plant right in. i might turn over the new dirt one time before letting it ride. no toys yet but i do like putting my face down there and letting my imagination run wild while i look up through the canopy. thanks for stopping by!

good morning everyone!

Hmmm if you just dug some fat nightcrawlers up and used them is there risk of some kind of cross contamination or something?

Sometimes you can find wormfarmers in your area. I used to work with a guy who would take all the coffee grounds from the break room home every day, and had a bag for people to put their fruit waste in, to feed his worms. He sold the castings and the worms, good little side hustle he had that cost him basically nothing.

id like to try and get red wrigglers in there, one of the local places is what had the contaminated bag. ive been trying to find one closer than an hour away to go buy in person. i guess it couldnt hurt to just grab a couple from outside and put them in there... i should go ahead and do that.

gonna put the second trellis on in a day or two...

picture.php

gotta do some more lollipoppin and lockin, heavy defoliation on this round too, or there will be at least lol.

picture.php

roots after 9 days in the cloner. these went into cups last night. they were hungry

picture.php

also, ive got bugs. some kind of very very tiny dark colored leaf eater. way smaller than spider mites. only in veg tent really, slow spreading. but eating little dots or occasional lines in the leaves. not all the way through tho. and they are on the top of the leaves... none underneath. ill post pics in a day or two i was too upset to get closeups.
what yall think? im gonna go ahead and order some predatory mites, obviously. probably get some hypnosis miles too, then i guess move through neem oil & friends if needed...

its always something, isnt it

What solution do you use in your cloner? Do you use a cycle timer? How do you clean it?

Sux about the bugs. Hopefully it's nothing serious

I used kijiji (Canadian version of craigslist), to get 300 worms for $15 CAD to get my bin going. Easy to find someone passionate enough to have a clean operation going, as opposed to some big store where all the staff don't care. Always worth search, never know how close someone is to your area that has something you need.

Thrips are long bodied. Mites are usually round.
Yes get predators asap. They take a while to catch up. I got ladybugs locally. Love those guys.

And yes indoors its always something!!
