been a lazy few days here, getting ripped on wax. cleaning and prepping the room, amendments still aren't in, said will be another week, so that is valuable time lost. built the bed today so its ready to be filled. and because i cant wait another week to plant the existing bed with fresh neem, ect. i just added what i had on hand and gave it what was supposed to be its final mixing but who knows now. anyway, mixed some greensand, lime, kelp, neem powder, dry molasses, and diatomaceous earth, oh and a bit of guano, into the old bed and am planting 18 gg4 into in right now. they are too tall i dont know if im gonna trim them back some so they can veg in the bed a few days before flip, do nothing flip immediate and deal with it? ill figure iy out, always do. i know she dont really like it as yall claim, but i smell some punishment coming on for some bad lanky bitches. perhaps a master is benevolent, we shall see.

also, pre jar, not final weight but pretty close, weigh is between 3.5 - 4 # for the bed only. closer to 4! ill share the exact amount after its stable for a few days but yeah, im pretty fucking jazzed

so i was just informed sunshine mix #4 is 6 weeks out from the manufacturer. they found that out today, while the shop was placing the order that i should have received three days ago. so now i have to find an inert peat/coco mix available loose. any suggestions? this shop does not stock sunlight. they do the hydrofarm thing. im getting out the catalog now...

also i went ahead and put 18 glues in the bed under 18 hrs for now... they are too big, as tall as the trellis which i placed at week 7 last round... im torn between cutting them back to allow them to establish roots or just flipping now and hoping they dont grow into the damn lights

ProMix now has a CC line (coco coir). haven't tried it, but my next bale purchase will probably be the HP-CC.

Should be available more cheaply outside of hydro stores.

That oil looks great too.

id flip the gg4 to stay on schedule. or top them & veg 10 days & flip.
plus the glue responds superb to super crop.

me. super crop. with a good firm squeeze. and flip flip next day.

for a bed like you run, home depot. promix. if u got a car, ur problem is solved.

I've been getting the Pro-Mix bx for along time. Tried SS#4 before as well. If SS#4 is what your used to, and you get Pro-Mix, you may wanna get some extra perlite. SS#4 has way more than Pro-Mix

ok. im finally going to post a grow show on here. my first. something ive wanted to do for a while now but it seems like my past few rounds have started out pretty shaky. my main reason for doing this is not to show but to learn. ive only been at this for a couple years now and it seems like theres so much to be had with growing cannabis ive barely covered the tip of the iceberg. any and all feedbacks are welcome here. my goal is to learn. and to help if i can.

setups

veg - growlab gl145 ( 4'9"x4'9"x6'7") tent lit with 4 ft. 4 bulb and 2ft. 4 bulb sunblaze t5. cooled via 4" eco+ supreme inline and 4" phresh filter. intake fan is a 4" dayton axial. fans controlled via thermostat at canopy.

bloom - growlab gl145L (4'9"x9'6"x6'7") lit with 3x 600w hps in aircooled yieldmaster II supremes. 2x magnetic ballasts and 1x digital. hortilux and sunmaster bulbs. cooled via 6" eco+ supreme and 6x24" phresh filter. intake fan is a regular sunbeam 8". Controlled with Sentinel CHHC-1

other - growlab gl145 lit with 600w lumatek (300w MH now) cooled via 6" vortex through 6" phresh filter. just started doing a full run in this tent now will be full time flower after.

ok. i do everything organic. i dont really consider myself a nazi about it but i think its important. for a while ive been recycling my peat based soilless soil and amending it with the usual, blood, bone, kelp, greensand, wormcastings, azomite, lime, diatomaceous earth, ect ect. i usually supplement with earth juice teas and molasses. i like to be primarily water only though. this round ive been relying more on peace of mind fruit and flower as my last couple rounds were screwy starting out in the soil and i cut my amendments way back this time. its worked out ok so far. will add some ej teas later.

im a big fan of root pruning pots. have used 2 & 3 gal. aurora root pots in the past but just switched over to the 3 gal. rootmaker something or others and i have been loving them. i dont have to water as much, rh is'nt as big of an issue, and they seem to work great. havent checked a rootball yet because this is my first round with them. theyre very sturdy.

ok water is just tap water, have great ppms where im at about 30 out of the tap. i bubble it overnight and have been hand watering this round. used blumats and drip lines in recent rounds decided to handwater this one for some reason. not so bad with the new pots.

plants this round are mostly cheese with some blue widow and one critical + all from dinafem. doing them in 3 gal pots 4 deep and 7 across with the odd crit+ on the end there by the fan

blue widows last row on left.

23 cheese, 5 blue widow and 1 critical+ for a total of 29 plants

i forget how many blue widow clones are in the other tent but it will end up with 16 flowering.

heres a shot of the bedroom with the two tents.

ok done for now more to come soon. i will happily answer any questions & please point out whatever comes to mind.
oh yeah, flowering plants are 15 days into 12/12

How do u run all those ballasts an still hav a low electric bill? Like the bloom lab has 3 600w HPS lights so r u running 3 ballasts there or r u useing a splitter? I know the T5s have a built in ballast n use much less electricity than the MH/HPS. Im askin cuz i wanna do the same set up wit the big bloom tent and a medium veg tent in my attic.

hows your room health? non stop cropin' got a jewlers loupe?

room health is primo so far, nothing to worry about yet. once i get wide open in a couple weeks im sure ill find something to worry about. its always something. i have a mini microscope i use.

ProMix now has a CC line (coco coir). haven't tried it, but my next bale purchase will probably be the HP-CC.

so last round my lights were as high as they will comfortably go, plants i just put in the bed are taller than the week 1 plants of previous round. so i dont really have a choice, i have to cut them back some, then give them a couple days to recover, then flip. im about to go prune them now. i might share some pics, they look gangly.

so ive always used straight peat/promix. but i wanted to try something that had the different coco textures as well. and since i had a stroke its a real pain in the dick to try and break up bales with one hand, not to mention turning everything. i have to get loose bags. i figure ill probably just order a loose promix and find a coco to add...

thanks for the ideas guys im keep reading about coco. ive never used it so i dont have a brand

this was in the upstairs bedroom of a house i had many houses ago... in another room there i also had a 600 and 400, so 2800w total in hid, plus another 4-600w in t5s.... the bill got up 500 once maybe, was usually 350-450 a month. i lived there too and it had 2 central hvac units. i kept the temps spot on (72/78) upstairs and down. no splitter all lights on at night. that house had a coop for power so the rates fluctuated between 14-18 cents/kwh. meaning some months it averaged 15 some 18, for no reason. that was before smart meters too. now im in a pretty similar situation rate/power company wise but i have a smart meter, so, fuck them. i still run 3000w no flip flop. bills at current house are less than 400$ anyway..

be advised its hard as shit to grow in an attic. buy ac and build based on that

yes for sure lots of insulating. i have never personally grown in an attic before but i tried to assist someone years ago with an attic build they designed and ran into the ground. its challenging bordering stupid to do in the south.

not only insulation, and thats a fact, but you need to treat the roof as well. in my case, coated my roof & it made a huge difference. new tech has roof coatings doing amazing things. either way, mini split is gonna be necessary. air con of some type. better to shut down in the hot months if you cant do the attic space properly.

a smart meter is a super invasive power meter that monitors and records your exact power usage. often times the information is sold to third parties. information like how often you cook and with stove or microwave, how often you wash clothes and dishes, how much time your tv is on ect ect. its a search without a warrant and a crime against freedom. when they came to install it on my house i almost got physical with them. left with no choice, i still feel violated

it sounds like organic soil would be a good thing for you to try. i personally think that applies to everyone, but if your ready to grow the best tasting flowers possible i think that is good motivation. its a big difference from what your used to with bottle nutes. with living soil you dont force growth like you do with bottles, you only create the ideal environment to allow growth.
