this was in the upstairs bedroom of a house i had many houses ago... in another room there i also had a 600 and 400, so 2800w total in hid, plus another 4-600w in t5s.... the bill got up 500 once maybe, was usually 350-450 a month. i lived there too and it had 2 central hvac units. i kept the temps spot on (72/78) upstairs and down. no splitter all lights on at night. that house had a coop for power so the rates fluctuated between 14-18 cents/kwh. meaning some months it averaged 15 some 18, for no reason. that was before smart meters too. now im in a pretty similar situation rate/power company wise but i have a smart meter, so, fuck them. i still run 3000w no flip flop. bills at current house are less than 400$ anyway..

be advised its hard as shit to grow in an attic. buy ac and build based on that

Nameless, second time I seen you post about smart meters. Are you saying you are able to run more with smart meters? How come?

a smart meter is a super invasive power meter that monitors and records your exact power usage. often times the information is sold to third parties. information like how often you cook and with stove or microwave, how often you wash clothes and dishes, how much time your tv is on ect ect. its a search without a warrant and a crime against freedom. when they came to install it on my house i almost got physical with them. left with no choice, i still feel violated

it sounds like organic soil would be a good thing for you to try. i personally think that applies to everyone, but if your ready to grow the best tasting flowers possible i think that is good motivation. its a big difference from what your used to with bottle nutes. with living soil you dont force growth like you do with bottles, you only create the ideal environment to allow growth.

Yea thanks for the reply i looked up the meter n sounds like i might save some money on my bill but interms of them changing my anolog meter to the new ones obviously sucks LOL cuz ima private person and i hate that the government is always in ya shtuff but right now im running 2 MH/HPS lights 400w and 1000w then i got 3 T5 set ups for fish tanks, that an normal electric use brings my bill to $400 now but i never see them coming to read my meter as its in my cellar so where they get the info from i got no idea.

Im really thinking about organic cuz I finally got around to useing my seeds from online n i notice they're not giving me the 100% output an the plants i got now r in the biggest pots ive ever used 7gals and the buds seem like as tho i flowered after 1-2 weeks in veg but my plants stretched to 4' tall all i can say is the buds to me look way too small an ive seen others run seeds with chemical nutes and get huge harvests from the plants, i do have seeds that I accidentally got on a grow with NLs that got crossed with a sativa and i used those n got a very big harvest from six plants now this happened 1 time after that ive been getting shit harvests that r ok size but i do know these plants can give explosive harvests. Anyway Thanks for the input.

hell no! if anything i should be running less. my bill is less at my current house because the actual house part that i live in is pretty efficient bc its stone and we have gas. they claimed that having the smart meters will result in lower bills bc they arent paying folks to read meters but that is horseshit. the power companies are greedy, they want to keep that $ along with the cash they generate selling information. i hate those cockgoblins. but i figure as long as im paying my bill and its under 5 im a good low profile customer. its only been 6 months that ive had one though... but lights have been going the whole time so at least its consistent.

i wouldnt sweat 1800w either way but you are wise to not have your grow in the basement if your meter is in there. which is weird to me, is it split into different units or is that a northern thing or what? they almost certainly check it from the roadside once a month but if for some reason they had to mess with it youd have to deal with that. and your right, seed plants should have that extra vigor. it is nice to have a dependable soil mix that will act right. id advise you to check the organics sub or stank bros sub forum for some good simple soil recipes to start with. mine has a lot of stuff to source all at once.

on that note, concerning my existing bed... i added some greensand, kelp, lime and a dash of guano to mix in at transplant and im seeing a touch of fuckery in the leaves. they will grow out of it, hopefully by the time i flip them this weekend. i cut them back a good bit, laid some branches out sideways, left the lowers going wild for now. so lots of stress again at the beginning of this round. light should be tight at least, and i havent really found any more seeds in the round i just pulled, 3 total so far so whatever. anyway, things rolling along here. shop is still killing me bumping back my delivery date holding up mixing my dirt. mixed strains on deck for the new bed are getting kinda wild in the veg tent. bubbas girl getting lanky and some green crack vegging slow for some reason.

from the people! there are so many major lobbying groups that either represent or hold huge interests in pharmaceutical, oil, alcohol and tobacco industries (they are threatened the most by cannabis) that it was and still is very difficult. the states were only able to do it because the population demanded it. the federal level is apparently inseparable from the aforementioned industries so who knows what will happen there. our government is a joke obviously...
also totally fine to post that here, interested in any engaging discussion, and im always fascinated by all things euro-cannabis. everything is so different! but the same...

also i feel you on the medical thing not really changing much for you. when and if they do it in my state it will probably be three flowering plants... whos trying to waste time there? folks that arent already growing basically. then they will all jump into it, the market will flood with cheap sub par weed, equipment costs will skyrocket, and cops will really be on the lookout for unregistered grows. so yeah, its not gonna make anything better for me personally.

thx for heads up...im always out of votes:)

yep...most growers here dont get it...they even dont kno really that 'holland-days'are over..they crushing it down...soon in amsterdam too...maybe..but all around ..def.
thats the point why most old classic dutch breeders suck today besides the known raid thing...
im using tor browser since a few weeks for all canna related stuff...

nd cops will really be on the lookout for unregistered grows
yep ...not for the law of the peoples state...for the pharma industry..
and/or maybe they comin with unfair unright 'tax' and letting you bleed near death

My house is old thats y i jus had the attic electric dun over cuz the wires were the old cloth wrapped ones and it wasnt working out too well with my fish tanks LOL Thanks for pointing me in the right direction in terms of organics as long as your list isnt as big as the Super Soil recipe its all good cuz that one u cant make small batches of and im goin back to useing 3gal pots for my plants and at most ima run about 10-15 so i dont really need a ton more of soil either way Thanks!

ol lady has been knocking it out of the park blasting the glue. today she thanked me for purging it and i thought well shit, all i did was pull the vac and keep an eye on it. shes super proud of herself, and for good reason... but she always wants to pile it all into a jar. i want to leave it laid out all pretty. what do yall do?

No opinion. I kinda like it flattened but I've never made much at a time. I made some ethanol wash the other day. Last night I buddered half and left half as shatter. Pressed both nice and thin. Looks great

You open blasting?

ok so i snapped off a few pics today.

another round of gg4 monocrop in this bed. as i mentioned before there was some slight fuckery in the leaves at transplant. i also had to cut some of the tops back 4-6" to contain the height when i transplanted. they are bouncing back ok from all that stress. so now i flip. day 0 tonight. they are right at the height of the trellis from last round. ill try and contain any tops that break away from the canopy by supercropping (i know i know). enough blabber here be pics. they be blurry.

second bed built and placed. still have to put the fencing on the floor of it, liner just laying out on it for the time being, amendments still havent come in.

ended up getting a few bales of peat from lowes because my shop could not find me any loose bags of plain uncharged peat. the brand was different this year at lowes, no more majestic earth which was a fafard product i believe, and very tight butthole. the stuff in stock now is a pro mix product, 3 cuft bale still, but VERY loose butthole. filled with sticks and a few ribbons of plastic, it dumped out of the bale like hot soup. i didnt need to break up a single chunk of it. which was great for me cause its hard for me to break it up. but shitty as far as bales of peat go. ill post a pic of the bag when i do the mix. amendments should be in wed.

got two pools ready for mixing 15 cu/ft (~100 gal) in each

:woohoo: u watch workaholics? tight butthole

Those beds look awesome man. What did u use for the fabric? And are u saying u cover the bottom of the beds in metal fencing for support?

bro, you wouldnt know the general amount of epsom salt per cubic foot of medium?

on the bag , its 2 cups per 100sq ft of garden surface.
& 1 tblspn per gallon for fruiting plants as a feed.

i knew the epsom would be here today. held out feed 2 days, w/ only a kelp/lacto b. foliar, & every pot was ready for agua. very excited to see how it goes. its the only (major) minor element i dont have in my mix.

still i found a recipe where the add is : 1/3 cup per 1.5 cubic ft of medium.

thoughts?
