just as a warning irie, i had 3 of those timers go out recently, 1 about 6 months ago and 2 just this past week, 2 of the 3 caused the plants to almost die, had i been a few hours later woulda had to bust out some seeds and start over. just so you know, g'luck, looks great!!!
oh right, that timer... i have had one of those go out on me! whats plugged into yours? i wonder if different kinds of electrical equipment are more or less likely to burn it out.
all that was plugged into was a pump, on all 3 ocasions, pump comes on once for 5 minutes every 2 hours. not even a big pump, just a regular 3-400 gph mag drive pump. probably less then 100 wats or so , not even sure.
could the pump somehow be at fault for that? im just making a guess here. i think those timers are rated to 1750w, for some of them anyway. i doubt your pump draws that much.
intermatic makes repeat cycle timers, maybe one can be set for 5 minutes every 2 hours. i had one that i set for 17 minutes every hour for CO2
Wow... I'm a little slow catching this thread but I like your work irie-i. I'm thinking about getting that air conditioner, did you make your own 5"-6" adapter or did you find some 5" hose? I haven't been able to find either around here. I think I'll incorporate your idea of taping the fan to stop leaks in my little room. Nice work... I'll be sure to jump over to soil grow to take a peek.
