This one? A little low in the N but it does look like a complete food. https://greenleafnutrients.com/product/mega-crop/
Yup, that's the one !

My Maui Wowie is growing three inches per day, having to pull her down to 40" to give the other three a chance :canabis:

Crop looks great, congrats.

Where are you buying your ProMix? I love a similar product, Berger BM-7 but it has tripled in price in a year, at least at A.M. Leonard....which has free shipping promos once in a while. That's when I used to stock up on heavy items like soils, big bags of vermiculite, 50# of fertilizers, etc.

I add dolomite lime to my mixes for a hit of additional Ca and Mg.

I like the very simple instructions for solution recommendations of @Greenleafnutes. All one needs is a very cheap and a reliable digiweigh to follow clear instructions.

Labeling seems like a great 1 part feed for hydro fertilizing in-ground and soil potted plantings. Would love to try some.

the thing I struggle with is having one feed that naturally meets my demands to bring pH of my growing water from above pH8 to the pH6.2-pH6.8 range with moderate feeding and without pH buffering water before adding nutrients.

Flower is easy because General Organics BioThrive Bloom does a perfect 6.2 at full bottle recommendations. would love to find out if @Greenleafnutes mega crop is a perfect compliment for my new water source in veg.

Do you have/want any retailers in southern vermont?

Thanks, I'm in Canada.

IIRC I purchased 25# for $120. Still have enough left for a couple of years ❤️

GreenLeaf ships in the US, or to the US. Not sure which ;)

I think I mentioned, I use ProMix HP and well water. Also doing one SIP with coco.

I do not ph down Or add Cal/Mag. MC and my water have enough.

MC is chelated and ProMix is ph buffered. Well water ppm of ~500, ph 7.5

Never had a ph issue, plants are green right to the end :canabis:

Not sure how I'm getting away with it in coco but the results speak for themselves.....

Cheers

Peat/pine bark either alone or mixed will drop your pH. If you want to treat the water then the most economical way is 78% sulfuric acid sourced from an auto parts store.

I injected it into a drip irrigation system for my niche ag biz, reason for the 5 gal. box. It's clean and safe.

SulfuricAcid.jpg

I collect about 3,500 gals. of rainwater and the pH sits around 5.8 in the tanks most likely due to organics and carbonic acid. Foods with ammonical N sources will be acidifying. Nitrates tend to be neutral or basic.

Look for a CaCo2 equilvalent/acre on the label. Higher the better regarding the food's acidifying influence. Not too many manufactures publish this and most cannabis specific ones either don't or don't have a clue. Their focus is hocus pocus marketing.

This is a weird discussion. When we/I speak of nutrients regarding macros aka NPK, secondaries aka Ca. Mg. S and micros aka Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, B, Cl, Na.....we reference products that provide those necessary (and sometimes beneficial such as Si) to grow our faves.

No need to add a bunch of noise regarding Photons, CO2, water, etc. That's another discussion, thread.

If you want to do this right then you provide your faves a complete diet of nutrients such as you find in Dyna-Gro one part, my fave being Foliage Pro, and late in the veg stage have a tissue analysis done via a lab. Vineyard managers do this. I have a vineyard and I also grow Citrus. As an example tissue analysis of citrus shows it prefers a NPK ratio around a 5-1-3 with a complete micro package. That is more than enough P and K to flower and fruit but you'll not convince noobs who haven't been around long enough to find out. I feed my 4 greenhouse citrus trees nothing but Osmocote, a 8 month release, 15-9-12. Since Dec. 2023 I harvested at least 1,000 excellent quality fruit - many varieties of oranges, limes, lemons, etc. most I grafted on an overbearing key/Mexican lime tree.

My point being is too many get sucked into the racket of cannabis specific foods, myths such as "flushing". There is no such thing except by marketing design. Folks have ALLOWED THEMSELVES to become brainwashed by label ads and such crap that "Acme Bloom has higher phosphorous for bigger and better blooms". It's as old as the hills.

What you really need is some rocket fuel, organic of course. It's fortified!

I noticed Dyna-Gro is now Superthrive.

Apparently that company took them over. The original Superjive is BS.

I have a recent bottle of Foliage-Pro and nothing's changed.
Is it BS though, or is it Kelp. The better of the seaweeds. Most people are not giving it chance because it's so expensive. That stuff has been sold under that banner for over 80 years though. It's good for supporting humic. Where the compound effect is greater than their sum. Of course some might say humic also has no effect. It depends on your grow style.

I suspect canna's expensive, is humic and kelp. The price bracket says a lot. Don't use it with megacrop though, as it's not compatible. This is spoke about on page one.

Compatibility is often overlooked. Even when you use kelp, it shouldn't be overdone. It may support humic, but only mixed around 4:1 humic/seaweed for best results.

I keep a seaweed extract around as pH up. Just for those rare times I screw it. It has a fair bit of K in it. Making it's use while topping up the most effective.

It's a tough competitive industry. Consolidation has been going on for years. It wouldn't surprise me to see Superthrive/Foliage-Pro ending up under the Scotts/Hawthorne Gardening banner. Although Scotts has already has GH, Botanicare, and Cyco.

Sometimes a deal with the devil is the only way to survive. I doubt anything will change regarding the formulation.

Indeed. The kelp isn't replaceable, and the vitamin B source might be fish waste. Not exactly expensive. Oddly, the vit B group is high in fish, but the kelp has everything except the B group.
Adding B in soil, should be useless. The bio-life in there should make plenty. In hydro or more problem areas, it gains usefulness. One of it's gains is improving plant resistance to molds, bacteria and fungus. Leading to health gains, by a not so obvious route.
