if you are going to pick two pick growbig and tigerbloom. The are the ones that have the major nutrient content. BigBloom is an addative, not necessary but it helps...

Tiger Bloom is designed to be used with Big Bloom - - I think it's Big Bloom - -

Tiger is the one that will drop your PH big time

For my neightborhood - 1/2 strength Tiger is perfect PH - so I use it about twice as often. Your water will be different,,, adjust accordingly.

I don't know if a dose of dolomite lime will be able to overcome the low ph; it will help, no doubt. I've got it ln my shopping list

Get Grow Big and ph down for starters - that will get you by till a week or two into flower. Adjust your water to 5.9 to 6.0 ph and start nutes at about 1/3 or 1/2 strength

When you start flowering then you will need the Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom. - and you won't be using the PH down -

Sounds complex but it's really not.

The increase in harvest is worth the cost of admission. - and it "Almost Organic"

A couple harvests and you will be shoppin for bat crap, fish juice and other nasty smelling stuff your plants will love - matter of a fact - I need some dolomite lime and now I gotta find some "mycorrhizae granuals" what ever that is, but sounds like it's worth a shot - If Minds I stops by,,,, What's the dosage and how is it applied?

Thanks all!

Well I already bought GrowBig before I made that post. So I guess I will just be using all three. Also got some ffof soil. You guys had problems starting clone/seedlings with it? I think I read something about nute burn from it.

Oh, thank you for your help. :sasmokin:

I currently have white widow, grapefruit and cindy99(female seeds) and DP blueberry and skywalker fem seedlings in 4 inch containers, anywhere from 1 to 4 inches tall. They are all doing great.I've always started my seedlings and clones in ocean forest, when people have problems saying its too "hot",its because they are doing something wrong.Planting in a 3 gal. container or some other nonsense because its definately good for seedlings and brand new clones,at least in my house it works great lol.Besides how can it be to "hot"?Whats doing it?Is it the shrimp and fish meal?Maybe its the worm castings lol.Its certainly not any fertilizers because there is none present.Marine cuizine is 10-7-7,I wouldnt use it for my seedlings or new clones.Ocean forest is 0-0-0,if there's no NPK its unferted

So all of us that have made the claims that FFOF is too hot for young plants are all inexperianced noobs huh? Doing something wrong? Go home dude.

I tried the stuff once and my young seeds went to shit...I thought it was just me..went back to my other stuff..never looked back...Hey SS

I didnt say that, you did.I did say that I've used it for seedlings and new clones for a very long time without any of these problems you refer to.Take it personal if you want to,my priority is to let people know my experience and let them make a judgement.I've yet to see a strain or phenotype that reacts badly to ocean forest, its just potting soil for crying out loud!

" When people have problems saying its too hot, its because they are doing something wrong."

Thats the only conclusion I can come to,what else could it be?Its definately not the soil, sorry if I find that laughable.Nothing wrong with being a noob either,we all have to start somewhere.I'm only relaying my experience, which is a lot of years of experience using ocean forest. If you want to get mad becuase I said there must be some other problem besides the soil, thats up to you.I didn't mean to offend you, just stated what I know to be true in my experience. Its funny that in all my years on overgrow and here that the huge majority of people say they never have a problem with ocean forest and seedlings,a very small minority seems to.I only want people to get a good start on their grows,I do this every morning before going to "work" lol.

I add a little perlite and a little dolomite, thats all.If you're having problems with seedlings or new clones in ocean forest,Id look to the water your using as a possible source of problems if you're not using any nutes.I dont know what else it could be.

I grow in FFOF outdoors.

Start seeds in 2 gallon containers.

After 4 weeks, move up to 5 gallon containers.

After 8 weeks 10 gallon containers.

Finish in the 10 gallons, and only use plain water from a creek.

Plants are dark green and healthy until the end.

If you see a problem start to develop with FFOF, just transplant to a bigger container, within a week it is solved.

You have to remember, plants are used to dozens of gallons of soil in the wild.

If you use 10 gallon pots for flowering and plain water with FFOF you will have perfectly healthy plants.

I don't use anything else outdoors.

That is $10-20 a plant for soil depending on your area.

Think about it though, I average about 8-16 ounces outdoors.

Is 8-16 ounces of herb for $10-20 worth it?

I think so.

People pay that for a gram of herb where I live.

Even if you get 1 ounce it is well worth it, and with 10 gallons you will get way more than 1 ounce.

FFOF can not be beat in large containers.

If I went back to soil indoors, it would be FFOF 10 gallon containers all the way through flowering with plain tap water.

I used promix before that with PBP and it just didn't compare.

with co2.. you understand you want to keep temps around 80-85 for optimal conditions, right? you also need good circulation inside the room whether you have exhausting fans venting or not.. this helps keep the co2 from settling near the floor instead of dispersing and being used by the plants.

80 - 85 for optimal conditions? thats a first on me... Ide keep it under 80, more like 72-78 imo. C02 will however cause the ambient temps to raise up a bit. the plants are able to take higher temps because of the increased amount of c02 but i doubt 85 is optimal be any means.
