For those that enjoy a sharp piece of Steel

Bababooey, that throwing axe is 11 3/4", it hangs off the belt with the handle down and the top os completly covered by the sheath as it foldes over and snaps. They are just a little wider than an 1/8th" and you could probably carry 4 comfertably on a belt! I'd say 20 max, probably closer to 15 yards or 45', to be able to keep the velocity up to stick deep! We throw for around a half hour or so at a time then your arm starts to get a little tired, as long as you hit what your aiming at it'll stick unless you hit dead on the end of the handle, weight is only 1lb 2.9oz so ya can really get em whipin!

basilfarmer, looks like they went up $6 bucks, HAHAhahaha!!!

I personaly prefer the Stoner SR-25 in 7.62 x 51mm, very stable fireing platform and low recoil, with a punch that counts!

BF: I looked up the HK416. Wicked looking M16 lookalike! And that gas operation makes the weapon self-cleaning. Probably shoot like a thousand rounds before having to clean.
I looked up the 6.5 grendel round: interesting. Basically midway between the 5.56 and the 7.62 Nato, almost how like the .40 is between the 9mm and the .45 in terms of power. Basically a fatter 5.56.
You should check out this guy's blog:
http://anarchangel.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html

a little ways down he talks about alternatives to the 5.56 round, and mentions the grendel. this guy knows a lot about guns and other subjects, so you and him have a lot in common.

DC: Wow, at a little over a pound i didnt know they were that light. but since it's essentially a piece of sheet metal at 1/8" thick it makes sense. and they're probably way better for throwing than your average knife: they got that weighted end to them...

The Stoner Rifle 25; gotta love that name! yeah, i'm a stoner, and this is my rifle. partly because of his name, i put stoner up there with browning on greatest american gun designer of the 20th century...
:rasta:
20 rounds, semiauto, full power rifle round. u ever shoot one? ever get under 1 MOA on that? how fast is the semiauto? fast enough, im betting. does the fact that it shares parts with m16/ar15's an advantage in any way?

Flub, many throwing knives I see out there these days look really junky, this one looks well made though

Don, I sure can't disagree with that choice. It's a proven design too. I confess, I really have never liked the .556, oh sure it will do its job out in the clear but it's just not great at dealing with added factors like light cover, cars or even brush.

Bab, thanks for that link, what a great read. Still reading it.

Tjinez, nice knives, the grip on the first one looks fail safe

SweetNightmare, yeah bud, D2 is some great stuff

This one is vg-10 inside, and a softer steel laminated over it for a great combo of stength and sharpness.

BF: gotta love knives with old school wooden handles. they look nice but they're more prone to warping or cracking than polymer im thinking... just gotta take care of them i guess.
yeah, i stumbled on anarchangel's blog a while back. some of the best written articles about gunstuff out there. he's not mj friendly though, more of a beer and whiskey type guy. im all for potables too, but my first choice for a cocktail will always be herbal, not fermented. :joint: still, the man loves his AR's and 1911's, so there's much i like about him :rasta:

TJ: everyone should have a butterfly knife. can u do any tricks with it? i wonder if you can get one with a dull blade for practicing tricks...

KA: that's an interesting way to harvest :rasta: looks like that john belushi SNL samurai skit from the 70's...
nice tree btw.

CD: Nice collection. is that a sword or two i see there? some sort of axe on the table?
those kitchen knives must of cost a pretty penny? are they wusthof knives? gotta love kitchen knives made out of a single piece of steel...

Hey Baba, those are the Global series of kitchen knives. Extremely sharp and they hold a good edge for awhile. The two swords in the back middle as well as that lil axe are just cheap ass'd p.o.s.'s..if you go back a few posts, you can see a couple of my katanas which are functional replicas. Not cheap either.
ForTarkus, that knife on the left in the upright position is a Korean era U.S. made bayonet I believe.

I would have to agree with you on that. Tis most beautiful when a bladesmith is a true master of his art, as is Virgil.

Celler, I pity the fool that meets you in a dark alley and pisses you off!

Real nice collection, the used look only adds character and interest to me - real tools.

I don't know about the rules where ever you are, but I'm in Canada so I'll never be able to legally buy one of those awsome straight out microtechs. Not to be a dickhead, but aren't you worried about it shooting open inside your pocket?

Bab, isn't that a shame?? Everyone with different interests wants everyone elses rights taken away.

wow, thank you for those images, they have surpassed the realm of blade and into a world of amazing art
