Broward County here. I noticed on OG that there are many Florida growers, even though this state has some of the toughest cultivation laws in the nation. I personally think that it has much to do with the free spirited nature of us Floridians. I moved here in 1988, and have been here ever since. I absolutely love Florida, and any Floridian is a friend of mine.

Forfingoz

Someone a while back posted about the hydroponic growers convention in Florida, which got me interested and I finally looked it up. It is Sunday, November 11th from 12-5 at the Orlando Marriot. There are a couple Marriots in Orlando, and I dont remember the exact one, but it is like 2 miles from Disney, right off of I4 near exit 65-70. I believe they said $5 to get in.

Orlando Indoor Gardening Expo

2007 Indoor Gardening Expo Finishes Year In Sunny Orlando

After one of our most successful shows of all time, Maximum Yield’s Indoor Gardening Expo makes its final stop of the year at the breathtaking Orlando World Marriott. Combined with Crop King’s 24th Annual Growers Conference, this November promises to be an exciting one for the indoor gardening world. Orlando is the place to be and booth space is limited to first come first served.

We’ve seen a lot of new products this year and this is your final chance to see what 2007 has brought and what 2008 has in store. Exhibitors from the world's leading manufacturers and distributors showcasing the newest products and technologies for 2007 and beyond will be on hand. New product showcases, exciting door prizes, and industry socials are just a few highlights to look forward to in Orlando. If you’ve never been to an indoor gardening expo before, Orlando is the perfect place to start.

With space for around 120 booths, the Orlando Indoor Garden Expo promises to be just as electric as the San Francisco event. Please check the exhibitor information page regularly to see the entire list of companies who will be attending. The list is growing everyday, so check back often to know who is confirmed to be in attendance.

Sorry to Bother your thread considering I am not from Florida but I have a quick question does anyone know the lineage/strain info on what the South Florida/Miami Crippy(Kryptonite) is, this is by far one of the best strains I have smoked in my life and am curious to its background

Could be anything really, krippy is just a name they stick on everything seedless here. Sometimes it rocks, sometimes ...not so much so.

OGH

'Krippy' is just another term for "chronic/kind bud/kill/headies". Most likely you were smoking some kind of Haze cross, because that's what Miami loves. Check out Mango Haze. It was huge for the past three years.

yep everything is called krippy in Miami...Most the time It's Northern lights...Term krippy has been around since the Mid 80's when the strain was around and very popular...Thats about all I know..

Yes all hydro weed in miami is called crippy, I'm sorry greendevilherb but miami is know for all different kinds of Haze. Everyone has ****ing haze in miami. After awhile you get tired of smoking the same shit over and over.

Not to offend anyone but this Crippy was no Haze cross or Mid. I am a true traveling Connoisseur. I had smoked about 15 different South Florida samples some were BS mid and some just decent dro's and others KB but this was completely different. The People I got this from Insisted that this was the Original Crippy and I had to believe him and to say I carried that oz around for 5 days and every smoker that I crossed paths with said "Now that is the MIAMI CRIPPY" and understand NO Haze influence I am a Haze Head and know my Hazes like I know my phone #, this Kryptonite (Crippy) was exclusive not some BS Kind Bud, Now a Super Northern Lights Hybrid I can Jive with that a bit more I did taste a little Northern Lights in her but a whole lot of something else indescribable maybe a heavy peppered celery if anyone can help me please do this is something I really want to figure out, and if you think I dont know my hazes please read some of my past post in other threads! Big Shout out to Florida Shyt Gainesville has some of the best growers on the East coast and has for years keep it green fellas an no disrespect to the previous answers to my question.

yes there are alot of haze crosses..thats all there is in SW fla..I grew in Miami for 17 years..Only a hand full of Big players down there...I'm sure now there are lots more in the game but 1 Person runs over 60 % of the grow houses in Kendall...All the grow ops I've been in had Northernlights #2 as the main show..Just my experience when I lived/grew there...I ran for the swamp and never looked back.
