Seedbay, seedboutique, dr chronic, and hemp depot are all great. I've never had an order confiscated by customs (knock on wood).

Has anyone in Florida ever been raided and lived to tell about it? Im as paranoid as they come, what happens to those whos doors get knocked down in Florida? It sucks to even have to ask, but I want to know the consequences actual people faced in real life, not just know the mandatory minimum sentances.

I've never been arrested, but while going to college in Florida, I met a handful of people who had been caught with plants.

Don't get caught with over 100 plants, or near a school/church. Those are two obstacles that your attorney won't be able to hurdle. Laws seem to be setup in favor of the smugglers over the growers. It's probably safer to get caught with 24 pounds than it is 26 plants. (25#'s and you hit a mandatory minimum, although your attorney should be able to find you some breathing room, assuming you weren't near a school/church.)

Most of the grower's I've met who were busted didn't do time, as long as they had no serious prior offenses. Usually you're looking at 12 month suspended sentence with lots of probation. Though you won't be in jail, you'll still lose a lot of freedom.

It seems like your biggest concern in Florida is from friends and neighbors: "If you go in there now, it's like a forest."' (http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20070925/NEWS/709250438)

'Deputies were called to a house on West Forestwood Drive in Lakeland to investigate a report of a gunshot there. When no one answered the door they were about to make a forced entry, but just then the residents arrived and let them into the house, the sheriff's office said.

"Not only did the deputies not find a victim of a gunshot wound, but instead they discovered in the master bedroom of the home a sophisticated system for growing marijuana plants using stolen electricity," said sheriff's spokesperson Carrie Rodgers.'

I think Florida has to be one of the scariest places in the United States, right now. Total police state. You guys stay safe. And don't make any loud noises.

Eh, not so much, that kinda thing could probably happen anywhere. The other busts have been scary though, scary enough to think twice about.

Attorney general proposes Marijuana Grow House Eradication Act

PORT ST. LUCIE — Attorney General Bill McCollum on Tuesday unveiled a proposal that targets marijuana grow houses, dozens of which were shut down last year and a few this year by local authorities.

The Marijuana Grow House Eradication Act also includes strong child protection measures, such as stepped up penalties for those with children present at a grow house and for those with drugs near children less than three.

Last year, law enforcement officials found pot grow houses in 41 of the state’s 67 counties, putting Florida behind only California in grow house numbers.

The legislation creates a new penalty for farmers who grow 25 or more plants. The legislative change targets growers who exploit the state’s current trafficking standards of 300 plants and the federal threshold of 100 plants to avoid prison time.

The measure also makes a new penalty for those who own a residence for cultivating marijuana, and a new penalty for people living in or serving as caretakers for marijuana grow houses.

The act is expected to be heard during the 2008 Legislative Session.
