Tess,

Be real careful with DE. It will tear your lungs up and could cause some serious health problems down the road. Cover up and use a good respirator!

Thanks. Luckily last night...in the cloud...my respirator, a good one, worked fine. But from just walking thru the garden this morning I noticed a bit of irritation. I might even wear the respirator tomorrow while I water...and next time I foliar.

I onced lived on a property with silica sand too for a year.

Did you wet the plants first? I wet the plants first and subsequently the ground. No lingering dust cloud for me.

Wow. What happened to Poop?
it appears he has been banned, probably for too much off topic posting but these days who knows. PoopGroup was just the most recent incarnation of Grow Nerd i think. i would say i kinda like the guy but for the mod's sake i can't

guess it could be nerd but I thought it was berry...they both speak the same language.

Did you ever see the picture berry posted (I think it was him, its what he'd look like in my mind) standing in an indoor, posing with a couple plants that were just fucking covered in mite webs? It was the funniest thing I've seen on here yet. Or when he posted stacks of cash and bottles of lean hahahaha.

Either way. Don't worry slownickel. Whoever it was will be back in a half hour.

I've been watering since 8. I'll be done around 6:30-7. Going to up my frequency again. Next watering will be Saturday.

Gotta trim all day tomorrow....I just ate a brownie. Plants are looking huge and healthy.:blowbubbles:

man that sounds like my life before i got my drip setup. i caught hella shit for it on my thread a couple years ago

you're such a grinder. watering all day and trimming all night. automate the water and hire out the trim and imagine how much free time you will have

glad your plants are blowing up. you're gonna crush it this yr. any of them flowering yet? one of my ancients already is developing crystals

Lol dude I would if I could. I cant wait to just be able to flip a switch. Hopefully next year that's what ends up happening!

A hand full of mine are flowering. The 3 Df's and a SL...maybe a SA too but its so big I cant really tell from the ground but its stretching like crazy.

I just now reached to the tip of that super fat sky lotus and smelled it. If it already smells that dank at week 1 of flowering and is basically all nodes...already greasy...I have high hopes for harvest.

I wish I had some ancient og here!

I thought a thought today sometime between the hours of 8am and 7pm:

I use a mondi pump and garden hose to water the garden...

What if I just filled a barrel with 20 gallons of foliar mix and spray them all down in a few minutes as opposed to 10 jetenginescreaming gallons of a Hudson above my head for an hour and a half? It just seems so much more efficient. Or is the micronized output of the atomizer really that much better?

Dr Bronners FTW...the man escaped a mental hospital to make that soap...thank you kindly theJointedOne! Next week is gonna be a breeze.

I might even have one plant thats ready to stop? Might hit it one more time we'll see...

Depends what math you use. If its for the people (endless) then an atomizer wins cause it uses less and covers more. If its for your personal use then whatever the fastest thing you can afford to use is best :) most cash crops are for personal use.

I feel ya. I have a stupid Hudson that takes 2 gal at a time that needs to be above my head for hours at a time. I only use the Hudson micro sprayer when I am applying an IPM spray. Most of my IPM have to be consumed by the bug, so application spread is very important. However my AEA foliars, I just take my 20 gallon sprayer with a long hose and go to town. Or I hook up my hose and my IBC tote and put the hose on mist.

Hope this helps.

i have to use a 6' or 8' ladder on my in's.
i set atom on the top of ladder and just spray all around to get the tops.
in my gh i spray from ground up with the first gallon then put atom kinda on my chest to get the tops, luckily i'm an outta shape fat fuck so my man breasts hold up atom, no way i could press that thing over my head full of 2 gallons for very long.
they really need to make some kind of attachment something shaped like a cane that you adjust for getting deep into the beds and aiming up and also for spraying down.
my full suns are four feet tall and flowering so i would only need a 2' but you guys would need like 14' extension.
maybe a telescoping deal that would be sweet:biggrin:

I was a big fan of the atomizer I used to bust the greenhouses like ghostbusters with a person on each side and loving the fog of it all (pyganic killing at its finest). It seems way quicker to spray with hose and tank. Compost extract unfiltered out of the hose too. You're killing it. Getting all the details covered without getting bogged in the details of the details sounds good to me.

I had to stop using an atomizer a few weeks ago when my plants got bigger and I had to hold it up for so long my forearm was numb for a week

I'm loving my 30gal sprayer from tractor supply
