I don't totally follow your recycling trash thought......

I do use a lot of 'trash' in my grows. All of my buckets I buy from Dairy Queen. They are used for their onions or something like that. Nice 5 gallon buckets for $1 each. Call your local queen and see what you can get. They have 3 gallons as well.

I still really enjoy growing in soil. Plus I like the smoke more.

did you use the floranova nutes with the bottle dosage before using the lucas forumula? if so, what difference did you notice.

iI tried the lucas formula and got N def. in flower so I went back to the way the label says and everything cleared up, iv found that you should put 2-tsp per gallon FN bloom and 1-tsp per gallon FN grow during flower to prevent N problems.

This is what happens when mites attack. Normally this can be avoided, but I left town for a little while and things got out of hand.

That's about one of the few options. But sad, very sad. :badday:

What an odor that must have created though. Musta left your neighbors wondering. :yoinks:

I only used the Lucas Ratio in bloom, I used Ionic in veg at bottle rec, that seems good. Never read the bottle for fnb, just realized that. I'll set back 'n watch, want to do a recirc config next.

nice porn ... keep us up to date.....

Edit : i noticed that you mentioned that the air pump gets a bit hot, but delivers lots of oxygen to the buckets. do you have it in the room with your plants ? ( the air pump is in the same room as the co2 gen, that mean that co2 is getting to the roots instead of oxygen ). Check out what Blazeoneup does with his... its a great idea.. ps. same with the res...

nice thread pico. I used floranova grow/bloom per bottle specs in handwatered perlite/vermiculite hempy buckets with good results.

What kind of ducting is that? I'm fitting a 10x10 and need some for my cooltubes.

peace, mp.

vhghost- I didn't think that raising the co2 levels displaced enough oxygen for it to matter to the roots. I mean if there was no oxygen in the room then I couldn't breath in there. Please let me know. The pump doesn't get a little warm. It is really #@%^(* hot. The tubes coming off it to the buckets are also really hot. The water in the buckets gets really hot from all the hot air. I am guessing that I am actually not putting much oxygen in the buckets with this pump because it heats the water up so much the water is unable to hold as much oxygen. Argh.

mpro- the ducting for the lights is 6" insulated flexible ducting. You can pick this stuff up in 25' lengths at Lowes/Home Depot. I have 8" intake for the air cooled lights that splits in to three 6" sections. The key to maximum airflow is having bigger ducting than you need. Make sure to get the insulated stuff so that the heat doesn't just escape right back in to the room. I have an 8" inline hooked up to the lights and it keeps everything nice and cool.

Anyone have a link for a good inexpensive water chiller? I think the lowest I have seen is like $400 for a 1/10 hp model.

Day 3 or 4 inside of the Krusty Buckets. Just starting to get acclimated and all that good stuff.

They are punching some roots out the bottom so we should be crackin in no time.

I only have half the buckets filled up because I just had some clones lying around. Figure I will just make sure everything works. Probably won't hurt to throw in the other half in a week when rooted.

Yeah Ship, I have been really meaning to pull my head out of my ass at some point. Maybe when I turn 18.

I picked up a water chiller today from Aquatic Eco. The Prime 1/10hp model that does 1485 btu's of cooling power. Oh yeah. This baby should do the trick. My buckets are pretty hot right now and that is holding everything up.

C2635_rgb.jpg

The Prime Chiller™ delivers 1,485 BTUs—much more than comparable 1/10-hp chillers—to cool water more efficiently and save you money on electricity. This chiller has a titanium heat exchanger backed by a lifetime warranty, plus an integrated dualstage digital thermostat. Its small size (10" L x 11" W x 14" H) allows placement where larger units won't fit. Chiller has a pull-down of 10ºF (5.6ºC) below ambient for a standard 80-gal aquarium. Note that the lowest temperature you can reach is 40ºF (4.4ºC). Rubber feet eliminate vibration noise. 1/2" barb inlet, 5/8" barb outlet with a 6-ft power cord. Ship weight is 15 lbs. One-year warranty.

I am back under a new name. This grow is on hold for a few days until I get my water chiller. Soon my friends, soon. I am as excited as anyone else.

Yes I am 18, I have a little explanation over at my Omega garden thread if anyone cares.

TheRedEyeJedi- The blue skunk is a strain I got from the Seed Swap Club a few years back. It was a seed trading site and is now closed down. I traded for around 20 strains and am still trying some out. I wish I had my bud pics of it around but I think I deleted after putting on OG. I have never heard anyone else try blue skunk so who knows what the background is on it.

Ok, I phrased that wrong. I am not 18, I meant to say I am over 18. Either way I am still fairly young.
