The version, of sour d that played with was definitely a skunk y cross . as far as what I am not sure think they tried to knock of ever and did it up better . who really knows ?......?.......
I supposedly have the AJ cut too and there is no way it's THE cut that everyone raves about. Objectively speaking, it's very good, just not great, IMO.
neither is the "Chaco" , i ran it and its not THE cut i had in '06 > '08 ... THE SD was infamous in my area @ the time & absolutely unmistakable in flavor & potency
Same problem. I just started flowering one out if someone said it was the cut I chase. Hard to get the one from around 07' that makes my mouth water and eyes drop red immediately.
Okay so it seems like something happened in 2008 or so because I’m in the same boat as all of you guys. 2008 was the last time I was seeing packs of it. I know mine came from San Diego and i recently reconnected with the guy and he’s not in San Diego anymore and lost the cut and doesn’t know anyone with it anymore.

Yeah so I’m calling bullshit on the AJ. I just did the math in my head. He wasn’t running big enough numbers to do damage on the scene like the catskill guys did and was able to flood nyc with. The biggest grow I ever heard AJ talk about from back then was a 10 lighter. He was JJs neighbor at the time. The catskill dudes were banging numbers out in the hills and bringing it down giving it the notoriety it really deserved. But they were two different phenos going by the same name. That’s where the confusion started. It never got cleared up. I know the OG catskill guy through AJ and I think that’s where I need to start looking and asking. I love being part of the dead family. We’re all degenerates but we sure as hell take care of our own. Hahahahaha.

I don't think it was about wanting it or not around 2006-2008 me and every one running her had to give it up . she hit a point were all she would do is herm like crazy and produce seed not frost or bud . I still have like 100 seeds from when she first started herming out. I wish I took pictures back then . this is what happened 100% maybe some one was able to keep her from herming out but I highly dought it . she got vary bad worst then any blueberry .she pretty much went full on shemale . i would find it hard to believe any have the true sour d past 2009

I know for a fact the catskill guys have it and I can’t believe I’ve been ignorant to the fact this whole time that it’s different than the AJ. Some shit just clicked in my head and it’s all making sense now. Weasel aka Klopp glass had a 86 super skunk herm on a 91 chem and the seeds were born. Some of those seeds went up to some dead family in the Catskills and some ended up in a lunch Box in Staten Island. Ecsd is from the Catskills. AJ sour is the staten sour. Two different phenos but both called diesel/sour diesel. The name was interchangeable.

I have been searching for the super skunk side of sour d for years . ever sense I first saw sour d .
That’s been one I have always wanted and never been able to find.

The sour d cut I got from a respected member here on the mag years back was finicky, probably the most finicky plant I ever tried to grow, and it really took a solid 12 weeks to get her to be all she could be. When I did get her right she was sooo good, but more often than not I'd fuck her up somehow. With all the og's and chems and such finishing in 9-10 weeks tops and easier to grow, I think, played a part in her no longer being as available as she was a decade ago. I still would like to have her back for head smoke and I love this thread and the history lesson.

It’s 86 super skunk out of the seed bank catalog. So Neville made it. And I believe the exact lineage of the super skunk was Skunk1xAfgT. AfgT being a Mazari Afghan selection.
