Ok I guess if I am going to keep talking sour d . I better start some s1s from early 2000 ( I did not date them) . might as well through another version on the table lol. Any way I will start 5-10 tomorrow morning when I transplant . they are old and were stored poorly but I will pull out a few tricks and see what happens .

If I get a few to crack . I will post up pics and select the best one and get it out to a few here on ic .

I don't know why people continue to chase old tired cuts when there are so many 'breeders' who offer good ole sour in seed form. I ran Aj's Sour D a few years back and it was a terrible plant to actually grow. Made some of the nicest oil i've ever had but the yield was also the worst i've ever had. I ran Cali cons Sour D and Rezdogs, a bunch of other hybrids too but the loudest and my favourite sours came from DNA's Headband. With the sour turbo phenos of MTG's Prezidential Kush coming in a close second. It's nice to have the real deal authentic shizzle but sometimes you may be surprised just what is available. I hope you find what you're looking for either way. ATB

Has anybody else ran the Sour D from Dark Heart Nursery. I thought it was pretty dank some of the best representation of sour that ive ran ,it is gas smells 5 houses down. If you open a sealed pack of it it will make the room smell for a few hours really lingers.. Ive never ran ajs or any reservoir sour . Just dark heart cut and ordered some sage n sour few other beans of attitude. CCs headband

The sour d cut I got from a respected member here on the mag years back was finicky, probably the most finicky plant I ever tried to grow, and it really took a solid 12 weeks to get her to be all she could be. When I did get her right she was sooo good, but more often than not I'd fuck her up somehow. With all the og's and chems and such finishing in 9-10 weeks tops and easier to grow, I think, played a part in her no longer being as available as she was a decade ago. I still would like to have her back for head smoke and I love this thread and the history lesson.

I think your thoughts on her decline in the market are probably accurate. Finicky, and so many other choices. I have an original sour in flower now(Before it was titled ecsd or sour d). Gonna see if I can get in the back of the room for a pic. Knocked her up with some dj f4 bb.

I think it was basic thought of those who let it go around 2010: why to mess with it, if I can grow some nice sour pheno of sour diesel cross? -bio diesel, sour kush or chemdog diesel, its quicker and easier to grow.. but now they want it back..

I let it go with the rest of my garden after a robbery in 2008. Moved across the country and have yet to taste anything close since I have been in Michigan. Not that I have searched. I have tasted its relation in many crosses. Thats not the same.

I said I would try and pop a few of these sense I joined icmag in 2016 . I figure its about time I keeped my word lol .

Been on a. Lime green, red hair, afghan ,rks search in my defense .

Time will tell if these don't pop I will try again or maybe give some one else a shot . they are real deal sour d but like I said in earlier post they have herm issues some where around the 1st to the 30 run mark .

It doesnt as it aint backcrossed to the real one, most do smoke as my mom tho. And have that great high and mouth coating smoke.

I woulf say most are less diesel more sour if that makes sense.

Not to be a dick but that looks nothing like sour d or at least the one I have grown or the,ones I have seen . looks way off.
