just about to start a Sweet Seeds grow.. packs of 5 aren't so so cheap (although they are fems so no males, so not so so expensive either, and at the mo they have a special on so you actually get 7 for 35) but the 25 and 100 packs are very good value and there's even a 10 mix pack for 35 notes...

can't comment on the genetics yet (watch this space) but I have to say their customer services have been top notch so far (despite a thread to the contrary in their section)

just sayin...

Good morning to all.

Hey Jamie

Let us know what genetics you decide on. Good to know the customer service works. Keep us informed on how they perform.:)

Im already planning the next grow after the Mango. Going to take the advice of a trusted friend and give Bodhi a shot. I have heard nothing but great things about Bodhi so it should be fun.

At $80 a pack I consider them a mid price line definitely not cheap. Planning on running the Genius Thai (extreme). I love both strains so it should rock. Hope for LT taste and genius bud structure. Both have outstand buzz so that shouldn't be an issue.

Will be GT for G.T.

I've just picked up a pack of vision seeds NL only £18 for 5 fem. I dint mind giving cheap seeds a try, especially after last Month buying some thseeds and they were small pale green immature looking beans and the 2 I have popped are extremely slow growers. These vision seeds are half the price and are big fat striped seeds, this small detail already makes me feel confident. I will start them off next week and I guess I will find out if they are any good.

Hey all.

heady blunts Good to see ya brother.

Thanks for the props.

That one lady was stacked. I should have some lemon bud to pass around for some time.

The pics really don't do her justice. Could be the junky camera or the lazy photographer don't know which.

ganjygav Welcome!

Sorry the THseeds did come up to standard. Hopefully they are just slow starters and will kick into high gear.

Keep us up to date on the Vision seeds. Sounds like they look good. The price is damn fair. Hope they turn out as good as they look. :tiphat:

budchopper Welcome brother.

Enough already??

Are you angry?? I hope your not angry. We don't do angry around here. Only good vibes and positive karma. :comfort:

I am pretty sure that the peak seed thing has been cleared up thanks to Yessum. The real Peak Seeds BC is in Canada. That we are pretty sure of. The Peak Seeds from Holland is questionable at best. They also may be legitimate but There pirating of Peak Seeds BC name and logo leads one to question.

Well guys its been a long week. I think its time to pop a top, spark a fatty and enjoy the weekend. :woohoo:

My package w/ Esko's Oaxacan arrived today, everything seemingly in order, 5 freebees of "Chemistry" as well, so I can add them to the list of folks who've come through when I sent 'em cash.

I'm musing over the idea of a mixed grow of 12 week sativas- Eldorado, Jalisco Jaze, Nepalma & Goat wreck haze.

Dunno how much I'll like the current crop of Cantaloupe Skunk, but there will be plenty of it. In really good soil w/ blumats, they've exploded into stretch. If the strain lacks anything, it's not vigor.

Pic over here-

Every time I open the grow space, my reaction is... Holy Shit!

Whats Up Jhhnn?

Checked out you skunk grow. Impressive your going to hit overgrow for sure:biggrin: Should be plenty of that to puff to your head. Going to keep an eye on those. How much head room you got? They stinking up the place yet?

Watch them Mex sativa. That Oaxacan will go out of control with the quickness. Cant wait to see how they turn out. Should find some mind magic in those.

Im going to have to break down and give esko a shot. It will be a while as I'm fixing to pull the trigger on some Bodhi gear. Maybe next month Ill pull the trigger on some Peak seeds BC at $40 a pack they are reasonable. Then Esko.

Im afraid Im going to have the same problem with the Mango. The last 3 days of veg they started blowing up. By the time I got them into the flower room they had already made it to 12". Seems small but when you only have 6' of head room it becomes and issue quick.

Only 2 days into flower and they have jumped 4". They are going to require a little " tough love".

Based on past grow reports I was expecting them to be sluggish. Not!!! Not even slow they just start out as some of the tiniest seedlings you have ever seen.

Have a great day all.

Thank for the props. Trying to keep a little something going on in here. I promised a few cheap seed grows but it seems time to try and run something a little more expensive. Hopefully a little better. A true and trusted friend recommended I give them a shot. I have high expectations and I'm sure I will not be disappointed. KC has set the bar.

Here are a few shots of the Mango early flower.

Does anyone have any experience with Zen seeds? They seem to offer feminized Krome kush hybrids under 40euros a pack of 7 so kind of cheap..

In my experience, top quality gear. I've tried Tropical Snow, Dansk Diesel and the limited edition Krome crosses (Krome's Triangle Bx1, Krome's Triangle x C99 and Krome's Triangle x Hindu Kush). All of them impressed me and I'm ordering more soon.

Welcome to all. Hope the morning finds everyone happy and healthy. :tiphat:

woolybear Hows it going?

Thanks for the props. Once you got your new thread up post a link. I enjoyed your other. Interested in some of your finishing techniques.

Laavamara Welcome.

I have never grown any Zen seeds but apparently English Cut has. I trust his judgment. If he says they are straight, then you can bank on it.

English Cut Good to see you!

Thanks for getting us up to speed on the Zen seeds. We will defer to your expertise.

As far as the Mango goes. Fairly hearty plants. Took a beating during transplant. They never batted an eye. Have them basking under the 1000 watt MH at the moment. Couldn't change both lights over as the last KC33 clone is 45 days into flower so had to keep the HPS on that side. The one Mango under the HPS is fighting to get to the MH. Hopefully it has enough coverage to prevent to much stretch.

If anyone is interested.

picture.php

KC33 at 45 days 12/12 straight from clone. No veg time. Finishing height around 39".

For the KC33 breeder specs are spot on. Straight to 12/12 will keep you in the 3' or 100 cm range if you have head room issues such as I. Ran this one straight from cut with no topping. Hind sight, Should have been topped to improve yield.

These could be run in a SOG but would show there greatest yield topped and SCROG. Will cover all in a summation at smoke report time.

Hope this helps.

The cantaloupe skunk is supposedly bred from original mendocino stock, selected for low odor. Not a Dutch skunk at all. Even 3 weeks into flower it doesn't smell much like weed at all. Fairly faint green/ sweet/ kinda yeasty w/ a bit of a cat piss undertone. Hard to describe.

Headroom? 75" from the floor to the glass on the reflector. If you check my albums, you'll see I went to some lengths to get that. Heat dissipation from the 1000w lamp & ballast have also been major issues I'm hoping to alleviate with a switch to higher efficiency CDM lighting when this crop finishes.

Worked out in the yard a bit this morning, just quit. Getting hot already, & sultry, humid, more like the midwest. With a bumper crop, I may yet shut down August & September to avoid the heat & the 50% premium on electricity.

Hey Jhhnn

That skunk sounds like something I might be interested in. I like the Road kill but the wife cant stand it. I miss that old school RKS. I haven't ran any skunk in years just because of her.
Ill keep watching those skunk and sending good karma for a bumper harvest.

75" is about what I have as well. From floor to glass. I spend lots of time snapping and bending to try and keep the canopy in the foot print. Sometime its a trick just to keep them off the glass. Hope the mango will not stretch as much as some more Sativa strains. You can see some light bleaching on those 33's. It was almost impossible to keep them under control. I have a feeling at 16" in the 3 day of flower I am pretty much screwed. Maybe that MH will hold them back some. We shall see.

I probably should shut down as well but its to late now. The mango will have to run there course. By the time they finish what would be the point. Normally I would be shut down for the summer by now. I have the veg area shut down already just running the T5 for the parent stock.

Been lucky so far in the flower room. Temps have not gone over 80 with the lights on. Lights off temps are not as low as I would like hanging in the low 70's. Its gets tricky with 2 1000 watters running and the ambient temps hovering in the 90's. Portable AC has a hard time keeping up.

Today ambient temps will be 95 with a 105 heat index. Talk about miserable. If I can make it thru July and the first of August with out any catastrophic failure I should be OK. Worst case I will end up with a bunch of fluff bud and stretchy plants from the heat. That's what they make them there bubble bags for. Trash to stash. Got to love it. Will be a good test for KCs gear in the heat.

Yall have a great day and stay out of the heat.

Peace

Little smoke report and update

Little smoke report and update

Hi all.

Just a short smoke report on the KC33 and an update on the mango.

Fresh from the line:tiphat:

This is a small limb from the hybrid phenotype.

Bud structure is dense and tight, no fluff here.

Smell Lemon like candy, sweet but not overbearing. Similar to Arizona ice tea with lemon. Very pleasant. Not super loud.

Taste is similar to the smell with a hash finish.

Buzz is an up sativa high, happy, thought provoking, good for watching the tube. Has enough body to make it relaxing. Not locked to the couch but takes some effort to tear yourself away from the tube. Not recommended if you have to think. This is dummy weed, so if you over indulge expect to be "stuck on Stupid" for some time.

Potency 7 or 8. Take inconsideration that we all smoke daily and have pretty high tolerances. Not devastating but good.

Good enough that the guy I did the smoke with wanted to trade some Larry OG for it.

Good bag appeal.

All of this will improve with a cure.

I still haven't jarred so hard to give a yield number, ill catch yall later with that.

Still owe yall a little feedback on her sister.:)

Peace

Mango update

Mango update

7 day into flower.

These have doubled in size in the first week.

They have hit the 24" mark after 7 days 12/12. Im expecting at least 2 more weeks of stretch if not 3. Most likely a full 30 days. Hoping the MH will keep it down some. Nodal stretch hasn't been to bad.

Phenotype expression. These are all hybrids with varying degree of sat and indica traits. About what you would expect from an F1. nothing to crazy. These have stabled out well as larger plants and grow vigorously. Maybe to damn fast.

Male to female ratio so far is 1 female 1 male and 3 undeclared. Would be nice to get another female. if not this is going to be "A one pony Show".

pic shows plant 1 thru 3 in back and 5 or first lady in stand alone
pot. 4 cant be seen is this pic.

Plant 3 & 5 are a more sativa leaning phenotype. Open structure allowing good light penetration, taller with heavy wide open branching.

Plant 2 & 4 more indica phenotype. Shorter, limbs stay tight to meristem , Slightly broader leaf.

Plant 1 is a little different. Tallest of the group but with tight limbs. Looks more like a hash plant. Largest internode spacing.

Strain has been easy to grow. Shows no sensitivity to nutes and vigorous growth.

Recap. 5 for 5 on germination, fast and vigorous growth, average range of phenotypes, stable.:plant grow:

This should disprove any myths surrounding KC's beans.

So if your budget cant handle those $200 a pack beans give these a try. Lowest price on the market at around $16 .

Hope this helps someone out.

Hey to all.

I guess interest in the cheap stuff has fallen off and that's cool.

BUT for my own amusement I will continue on until its finished.:tiphat:

KC33 final.

picture.php

Thai phenotype or as we call he knuckles. Final dry weight just over 600 grams.

Not bad from a single plant with less than 30 days veg time. Maybe not top shelf meds but solid head stash for the personal user. Nice up high, decent taste, and PLENTY OF IT. 7 or 8 on the buzz. 1/2 a spiff and your good to go for 3 or 4 hours. Plenty of energy a little racey if overindulged. Taken at 63 days easy could have gone 72+.

Perfect for the bubble bag. Makes super nice hash, that cut right through a Dabb. So if your looking for something to fill your bubble bags cheap. HERE IT IS!

If anyone is interested The other Phenotype yielded average around 120 grams dried. had better bag appeal, more smell, taste and equal buzz. :)

Hope this helps someone out.

Peace GT

Mango Udate

Mango Udate

Well the Mango is rolling into about 10 day of 12/12.

Some variation on phenotypes. Grows well. Easy to be exact. That's the good.

Now the ugly begins.

But lets see what yall make of this.

picture.php

picture.php

Picture suck but Im pretty sure I know what that is. Anyone else want to take a guess before IT gets the ax?

male to female ratio is much better on these, I wonder why?? HMMM

So far looks like 1 male 3 females and this one. Better keep my eyes open.

Gonna let it run for a little while just to see.
