My ganja evaluator has rendered his opinion on my recent Nirvana grow. He has given the 8 week blackberry a 6 or 7 rating. He has not had the pleasure of my 9 week blackberry and may only get a sample since I am keeping that whole mason jar for myself. He did rate the Aurora Indica as a 9 or 9 1/2 on effect, flavor, potency. That's a mighty high rating for cheap fem seeds from Nirvana. The AI yielded half of what the blackberry did. You do need to veg them longer to bring up the yield.

Hey all!! Hope the day finds everyone safe and well.:tiphat:

seedstasteyum Hey brother!!

The hermi balls did suck but on a positive note there were few and haven't shown back up since the first and only cleaning.

Your probably right, It could probably be recreated. The 33 seems like a solid strain for the most part it would only need a solid afgani female to hit it with.

oti$ Welcome!!

Thanks for the heads up on fractal. I have never ran any of there gear but it all sounds like fire. Ya have a thread on the deep strawberry dielsel?? I wouldn't mind checking that one out. If not your welcome to throw up some pics in here. It might even dress up the place a bit.

The Mango was veged for about 3 weeks before flipping. Flipped at about 10" finished somewhere around 6' on the Sat phenotype. The KC33 side definitely throws some big old cat tails!!

Gertz How's it going??

The only ones from your list I can give you personal experience for is the KC mango and the KC33.

The 33 is a solid Sativa dominate strain. Some foxing but for the most part a med dense large yielding lemon like sat. Only drawbacks high male to female ratio but for $16 a pack worth a go.

Mango has some inherent hermi issues. So maybe not the best strain for a first run. Hermis seemed to be manageable, if you know what your looking for and will still produce quality buds.

50/50 Indica Sativa. Large phenotype expression. anything from an Afgani Dom to a KC33 Dom. Yield dependent upon phenotype. bud ranges from med dense to hard pack nugs. Smell from lemon citrus to full on ripe Mango. Ill let ya know in a few weeks how she smokes.

The others I haven't ran. I have run Nirvana's gear in the past with good results. There Jock Horror and Swiss cheese both turned out well.

Sovereign Thanks for the feed back brother!!!

Hey bigAl25!!
Sounds like Nirvana did ya right.:tiphat:
The 9 week blackberry must be some good shit. Sounds like the Aurora Indica could be Nirvana's go to strain. Your the second or third person to have outstanding results. Gertz may need to add this one to his list.

For me I still have a few weeks for the Mango to finish. Shooting for 70 days but they are slipping into fade so may come off a bit earlier.

The GT are all up 5 for 5 on germination no problems so far. Dropped the Elephant stomper x sour bubble/oger99 a couple of days later so she should be right along. Dropped the last bean last night to finish this run. She is a purple urkle x skywalker OG so it will be close to a week behind but hopefully on the way.

Now its just the waiting game.

Holler at yall later!!

Peace

I dont have pics of dsd as im paranoid and occasionally clean out memory and the account that it was documented under has been cancelled, the threads still exist without pics. Mr. Awder, an ic member, does still have his keeper and has pics of her in his thread in the vert section. 10"-->6'! Wow! Im enjoying the thread. Thanks:D

Whats up brother Otis???

Ill have to cruise thru the vert section and check it out.

Yea the mango is a bit stretchy!!!

Even the indica phenotypes are a bit stretchy. One went in at 10" and finished just over 4' the other went in at 6" and finished at about 40". These would have done better topped.

The Sat phenotype makes up for big stretch with outstanding yield. Just a pain in the butt to manage.

Take care.

Let's say you've only got $50, shipping and all, to get some seeds to start all over again after years of not being able to grow. On a strict budget and you want to get a harvest done ASAP, so flower time matters. And you don't want customs confiscating anything and you don't want to wait a month for an order to arrive. Risk it with an order somewhere foreign, or go buy a bag from the street with some seeds in it? What do you order that grows fast? I'd ask where to order from, but, you know...

Just doing some brainstorming and more brains are better than one.

@Gertz,
Consider the leda uno...
A friend of mine recently finished a grow and he reported back that it was some of the best buds he's had in a while. I didn't get back more than that.

I think you'll find something ya like within what you've list as possible choices as well. If you will be growing out doors, reconsider the Mango. My od plants never threw nanners, never produced seed.

Bobblehead...

Consider checking out seedbay.
There's tons of choices there around $40 a pack... This will leave you with enough $$$ to cover shipping.
If your order is lost, for some reason or another, contact a mod & try to work out some sort of resolution.

Private breeders & GN bail fund are excellent places for deals.

hth...

Hey brother useful. Great to see you out banging the boards.

I wish they were gone but no such luck.

Seem like I may have missed one. Pulled this one today. Oh well that's the way it rolls sometime. They only have about 10 days to finish. So not stress. Still made some nice bud.

Holler at ya later!!

I hate hermies,I had 2 last run of c99 from fms. I was hoping to see my NL show sex before I put into flower. I veged for 7 weeks this time, longest I've ever gone but plants never showed sex. I've put them in flower now so will have to wait and see. I will be distraught if I get hermies this time.

Hey GG, great to see ya!

I agree Hermi's suck. Just part of the game I guess. I tried to keep a sharp eye on these since finding them early in flower. I guess even a trained eye can miss one!!LOL

7 weeks veg WOW!!! They should turn into monsters. I rarely get to veg long enough to see preflowers. Low ceilings and no head room wont allow it. C99 and her sisters are usually pretty good about showing preflowes early.

No reason to be distraught. Just pick them off and let them roll as long as its only a few. I have had them pretty bad before. The only options then are just to pull and start over. I doubt you will run into that.

Here's wishing a hermi free grow and a bountiful harvest.

Cheers GT I hope the same thing about a hermie free grow. Out of a c99 4 or 5 pack I only had 2 plants Finnish. One smelt of cat urine and the other was fruity but crap Buzz and yield. Maybe got a dodgy pack of phenos. I normally veg about a month or to 15 inches whatever comes first if I ain't training. I have about 5 ft of head hight under my light as my tent is pretty tall. I ain't got to worry about height with these plants as I've been bending them. One of them is about 10 inches tall but about a ft and half wide. That's how I've managed to veg so long. I was trying to let the gg4 catch up to the NL as I snapped her in half. I topped the NL twice and kept them tied down. I will be interested to see if the extra veg does produce an amount worth the extra wait. On average per plant from seed I get anything between 2 and 3 oz with a 30 day veg cycle. I'm excited

Hey GG.

Brother you have her tied up like a bad dawg.

Looking good Im sure she will do you right!! You have done a hell of a job training her.:tiphat: Ill be waiting to see how your yield turns out compared to 30 day veg. I follow the same basic guidelines as you. 30 days or 6"-8" on sats and 12" - 15" on indicas with little stretch. Like mine to finish in that 3 to 4 foot range.

Sorry to hear about you bad experience with the C99 from FMS. I ran that years ago and it was pretty good. Classic c99 pineapple and no hermis for me. Sounds like they may have let that one go to shit.

Enjoy the day.

66 days 12 / 12

66 days 12 / 12

Hey guys!! Hope everyone is doing well. :tiphat:

Just thought I would do a little update on KC's Mango. We are pushing about 66 days or so. Running these out to just about 70 so we are getting close to the end.

Rolled in tonight when the lights kicked on to find one of the Sat pheno side buds had collapsed under its on wait leaving a nice big hole.

picture.php

Still could have gone a few more days but should smoke OK. 2 Lt side buds anyone??

picture.php

The rest of her is still rolling along.

picture.php

Smell comes off as lemon with under tones of mango and a little funk. Very pleasing. Nice and sticky just the way we like it.

As a whole the plant should yield well over a LB. All in all pretty happy with the results. Get rid of the minor hermi action going on and she may have been a keeper. Sadly she is not.

update continued

update continued

Her are a couple of bud bud shots from the other phenotypes.

This one has to be one of the ugliest plants I have ever seen.
Saying that she has produced some interesting bud with a full on ripe mango smell.
She was not in the optimum position in the grow so her yield will be mediocre.
Give optimum light and room to spread out she would have yield quite nicely I would imagine.

Still not a keeper.

picture.php

Here is the final phenotype.

Very nice plant. Producing a moderate yield of nice and frosty, rock hard nugs.

Only draw back is the smell or better yet the lack of it. Very faint hint of that old school Afg funk. No mango with this one.
The smell it has is pleasant. What we old cats consider weed. Kinda funky, yall know what I mean.

These should finish in the next week. So I will be drawing the mango down. She is already on min feed and taking on a nice fade. She will go to plain water about Tuesday until finish.

All in all she has been fun and I hope this helped a few of you cats out.

KC in my eyes is still a quality option for the guy without a lot of cash to drop on seed. Would I run the mango again?? Ill tell you for sure in about 30 days, but as for now. Sure why not!!

Yall stay safe.

Peace
