Hey guys hows it going?? Been a busy week around here keeping up with the wife's honey do list and stayin gout of the heat.
ganjygav Hey brother. Sorry to hear ya still having germination issues. Its hard not to go poking around looking after a week or so. You just have to resist. I use rock wool cubes. They maintain almost a perfect water to Ox ratio when sprayed so rarely have problem with them drowning. I have also had good luck with rapid rooters. Just be patient and I think they will show up.
Your going to be happy with the NL. Its a good all around smoke.
BobbleheadJed Welcome. and thanks for the props.
Brother Useful swears the WR has changed and he is a top notch grower. So I would tend to believe him.
I can tell you for a fact that the Mango has changed. It was very popular back in the days of OG. Those cats would have flamed the shit out of it if it had hermi issues back then. So I can guarantee you that its not the same. Weather its age, new selections, or what I don't know but OGers would not have stood for hermis. Bank on that!
I love Mandala!!! There hashberry and Kalichakra both were outstanding. I think Mandala Mike is sick the reason for the hiatus. They are some great folks with outstanding genetics at very reasonable prices. Let hope they are back next year revitalized and ready to go. If Mike is sick prayers out to him
Customs can be a bitch. Sounds like you have worse luck than most. Some folks that have there mail coming through the Chicago terminal had been reporting Higher than normal confiscations. You may look at some of the stateside seed banks. At least there will not be any customs to clear.
Whats up Jhhnn??
You may be right about headspace but I believe that some of the older lines have changed. I have heard this to many times from well respected grower for it not to be true. It seems to reason. Its a high probability that parent stock will be lost and new selections would have to be made to continue the old lines.
Making your own seed stock is advisable for sure. Its the only true way of ensuring long term seed availability.
I can understand your unwillingness to keep mothers based on plant counts and legality but it is by far the easiest way to keep a high quality garden with little down time between runs.
In my experience the clones are usually better than the original seed mother. Typically a little more potent, shorter flowering time by a couple of weeks and NO GUESSING.
The 2nd or 3rd run on a clone you have it dialed in.
Tends to make for a hassle free grow with better results than from seed where your guessing about nute requirements and every other aspect of the grow.
Well Im off to tend to some of the wife's chores.
have a great day.
peace
