DUD means plant that is infected by Stem Nematode.....don't mix it up
We'll have to agree to disagree on that.
We could argue over the definition, but I couldn't care what names you put on things and I'm sure what I call my ladies doesn't interest you either. It's a small point.
What does matter is that you say you've discovered a certain species of stem nematode and you have found a way to stop the problems they cause by using chitosan. That's the most interesting thing.. or at least it would be if you would show us what actually is happening in your room right now.
Your post contains some pretty emotive words regarding cash cropping and people's livelihoods... But at no point have you had them identified and at no point have you documented any of your results to either show either the problem or the effects of what you're now saying is the solution.
Getting the pests identified, then showing the problems they cause to young clones, and therefore how to identify if you might have them and thus save yourself a whole harvest cycle of wasted time, then showing the effects of chitosan, is the surely the best and only way to help those growers who might be dealing with the same problem.
If it's in your power to do it, as the person with both the problem AND the solution, that 's exactly what you should be doing right now. IMO.
