3 days ago my wife and I made these Dilly Beans...I kinda screwed up a little on the first batch of seven...each quart jar was suppose to get 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper...my old timers kicked in and I put a full teaspoon in each qt...so I definitely labeled those as hot...when I open one in a while like prolly 6 weeks from now...I'll see just how hot they are...some of the beans got a lttle large but I think they will pickle just fine View attachment 19066712
you are way ahead of the gardening curve… nice job

So there's about 20 quarts of Salsa brewing in the pot...between myself, my wife and Chunky were got it all processed yesterday...the knife wielding and food processor things that we were...gonna let it come to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes...then pour the salsa through a colander to remove most of the liquid...next cook down that liquid to get it a bit thicker...add it back in... and finally add thick Big Mama Paste tomato sauce to it to the consistency of Tostitos Salsa then process in the canner...should get around 40 pints hopefully

What a difference a couple weeks makes...before the remnants of Hurricane Helene arrived on our front door my plants were looking very very nice...obviously I was lured into a false sense of security...this past Sunday I again surveyed my weed plants and found that dreaded budrot had set in...I pulled 3 or 4 of my smaller plants that were in 5 gallon buckets and they are now drying...the rest I got a young whipper snapper close friend of the family to help me a couple of days this week to pretty much defoliate and remove as much rot as possible from the rest of my plants...I know once this shit starts there's only one way out and that's to get them harvested...I was hoping for at least a couple more weeks of finishing their maturity but that's not gonna happen...so this weekend I'm getting the rest of my girls inside to hang and dry and hopefully I saved a bunch of my budz...we'll see through this next month

I tell ya the most resilient plant out there this year was GG4…beautiful colas, no PM and no bud rot…I’m still gonna bring her in with the rest but I was impressed with her health
