Wind gusts, always make me nervous plenty of that here the last few days it looks like some hefty damage over there

Oh yeah and we have already started the clean up…chain saws were just a blazin and 12 ft. logs were taken out to mill up and then there’s shit tons of firewood

Ain’t no weeds getting through that ^^ btw Disappointed with the Amish this year (not really, ) but you got to be careful when you buy food items from them ..they’ll trick you with stock shelving “must sell by “ dates way past the point of expiration…

There are actually two different kind of dates… freshness dates and expiration dates …working in the grocery business for 50 years I’m always checking dates …and being the retired grocer…if I find a questionable date I always bring to their attention…Amish included!!!

Haven't posted much lately...lotsa gigs and lotsa gardening taking up most of my time...Just got done harvesting 325 bulbs of garlic...they were in four 50ft. rows...once dried and given a shave and haircut...I'll separate the largest bulbs and plant them this September

Wow nice harvest. I just left the auction and garlic was going for 1.60 a bulb. Elephant going for nearly 3.

What I have in my hand is not elephant garlic though…just a variety of hard neck that I got 3 years ago from an old time farmer in his 80’s that really didn’t want to do the garlic thing anymore and passed the torch onto me…each year I try to replant the largest cloves from the largest bulbs to increase the size of the garlic I harvest…most of the bulbs were about half that size but still pretty big…Chunky was over last month and helped me make some garlic scape pesto…came out great…LB when your down my way again or at one of my gigs I’ll make sure I have some garlic for ya

I have never grown garlic and I don't know why that is lol. I'm going to have to change that.

So this is my garden as of today...triple H's out here today...didn't accomplish a whole hellava lot...picked some squash, cukes, a few cherry tomatoes, 4 heads of Broccoli, and

few cherry hot peppers

It's a bummer that my onions have a fairly large hole in the pre made mats I bought years ago for them...so weeding has been pretty lax with them...so they won't get as big as I like
