Okay so how does the Dr dry/ cure all his bud. To harvest weekly u must have a system for it. Do u just implement a good labeling system? Use ssmaller jars?

Great read Doc, been considering a scrog but as an every day smoker it seems a perpetual SOG may be the way to go.

Cheers for the info sir!

Just made it to the end of this thread. Epic man. Get a few more bucks under my belt and i'll be building a system very similar.. hell i even took notes from this thread :) Thanks again man, and hope the mtn is treating you well.

Dr I gotta say ive been reading your thread for past few days now and I really have to give it to you. Very well done in utilizing your elements. You've eliminated some negatives that I find in my grow. Ive always been indoor, first soil, then ebb n flow with hydroton pellets and been doing great with it since. It's a 16 pot system taking space of about 8x8 give or take - You are running much smaller area and still doing great.. And 2000w HID hanging above - you've managed to make them look fantastic and you're using way less watts then I thought was needed to produce buds that look like yours do.
Keep up the good work up.

I am setting up a 15x18x36in box....(184 watts cfl)
I ordered top 44...
do you have any ex. with top 44

I will also have a 12x12x15in veg/clone box
thanks....:joint:

I know this was from a bit ago, but I wanted to say that I have grown top44.

The bud is not as potent, but it will grow and stay pretty low. The plants I had produced 1 straight cola from the bottom up.

I topped a couple others and they yielded a bit more than the ones that I didnt top.

I grew this in one of my first grows and I can tell you that it takes a lot of abuse. Temps were in the mid 90's, I was constantly burning them when I was trying to figure out my nute mix and it still produced some chunky buds.

The only disappointing thing about it is, it didnt put me on my ass and they were not very potent. To me, this is more of a commercial strain than a head stash strain.

I hope that helps you!

bump. where has the good doctor gone? I'd like to read more, and I'm hoping this is not the end of him...

I've been debating building a computer tower grow for this, 16"L x 8"w x 20"H but I think I'm gonna practice up on my soldering skills first, so I can wire it for LEDs. 16 clones/ft^2? pffft. I'm thinking 18 plants SOG, perpetual in .5L bottles, 3 clones every 9 to 11 days. >100w/ft^2 and >20plants/ft^2 weight? who knows! I don't even have seeds, or soil, or a pressing need/desire to do so... jus something fun to do.

Dr.Bud, I hope all is well. I want to thank you for taking your time to answer all the questions in this thread, the others on this site, and GC. You have demonstrated all there is to know on being 100% self-sufficiant. Thank you! After more than a 100hrs taking notes, I have only ONE questio that I cant find your answer for! What is your soil mixture? You stated: Perlite, Vermiculite, Chicken Compost, Local Peat, and Worm Castings You stated your mixture is 1/3 Perlite and thats all I know. I love your watering method and want the soil to be right. If I missed it somewhere and someone here knows Dr.buds soil mixture, please, please, PLEASE, let me know!Once again Dr.Bud, I can never thank you enough. If you ever wrote a book, I would buy it in a second. Thank you again.

A lot of great information in this thread. I was looking into dumping my current setup once it's complete and waiting until I could afford an HPS, but this has inspired me to try and build a perpetual system using CFLs. Time to wire up a few more sockets and go from 150 watts to 500!
