***DrBud Takes CFL SOG to the Next Level***

its always nice to see the results that someone has reached, i am a dr.bud fan too!
but perhaps a *RESULTS MAY VERY* tag would be nice!
what i'm trying to say is that the good doctor did get nice nuggz with cfls, which shouldn't surprise to many ppl because of the fact that CFLS work to grow bud period.
what i was intrigued by was harvesting every week, I would never have ta run to a dealer, and i would have bud all the time. The convinence is very nice.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think the DR had a strain called "Chesaw"
he found his diamond in the sand, the strain that work the best to achieve weight in such a small place. If i throw a plant into the exact same cab I am not expecting to get the same results.

So just letting ppl know that if ya listen to the doctors orders, you will grow weed, no question. But the grower must find his diamond in the sand, through breeding or just popping seeds till ya find the Megan fox of Marijuana plants!

WOW!!Much hasn't changed since I took a break lol looks like I'll have to show everybody yet again as I'm am almost in full swing with my SOG but I'm using 18oz party cups this time around with a coco/perlite mix and I have a ph kit this time too!! Last time I got some damn good results following the doc with no ph kit and started running into problems when I got into using different nutrients. But yea watch me pull off the CFL SOG again with 4-5 different strains and none of them will be anything DrBud used and for those wondering what strains work best with this are the ChemDog line, OG Kush crosses, Sour D line and Super Silver Haze and Trainwreck all have a good stretch and fill in perfect single cola's flowered at 3"-6" ...

With that said, whats up Dr Bud? Hope you're nice and healthy growing frosty nugs for you and the Mrs BudGreengenes

And yes I will agree with you guys about certain strains not being right for this but it really all comes down to that "sweet spot" cuz I didn't have Chesaw and still don't but I pulled off what he said I could but it did have to do with my Thunder Goo strain being so great cuz when I tried out the SR71 Purple Kush this way it was horrible and gave me 4g flowered at 9" and finished at 12" !!!! But that's the ONLY strain so far that has given me problems so I say just make sure your clones are over 4" tall and showing new growth after transplant from cloner and you should get what you are looking for

edit: nicely on the 18oz gem too.. just found some polypots, they're like plant bags made out of thick flexi PP plastic.. they're 500ml which is by my numbers a bit less than 20oz but 18oz sounds about right.. cheaper'n a deck of smokes for 100 which makes them a no-brainer imo, don't drink enough pop to use bottles lol

I have seen pics of 144 plants, I am sure were from his room, but if you join icmag in 2009, do expect to be filled in with what you missed while you were still in High school

I spend alot of time on the Micro forum and alot of people are producing some big stinky sticky buds in small pots and with fluoros. It's a matter of public record/fact as far as I'm concerned, the healthy green bonsai trees under my CFLs help convince me too

seriously......do we have nothing better to do? Whether or not his numbers are correct hes doing his thing and by doing so obviously providing plenty of nug for him and his wife. there plenty of people in the micro grow section averaging 7 grams a plant of a set up built to be basically along the same lines as his SOG method. he has pictures of his finished product and most of his set up. Either he would be a pathological liar who strings us all around or heaven forbid hes actually telling the truth. This is another reason im glad to be back on these forums under a different name. Dr. please keep doing your thing as it is working for you and others who have chosen to replicate it. As for myself i have my own projects indoor and out to take care of. stay safe all....bless

This is a common occurence. a lot of people really believe that anything attempted under less than a 400hps will either not grow, or be crap. They've been told it for so long, by so many people, that it's ingrained belief.

When i come to a situation like this in my life, i usually just smile and let the person dig themselves away. Internally, i'm thinking "its coo, i'll take the benefits, i don't need you to agree"

theres no proof, and im not waiting for it, this thread has taught people that u can grow micro for cheap and have a decent harvest, thats nice but the claims of yeild are a joke to me, i cant stand numbers(math) and no pics telling me about someones yeild. anybody can add.

-HOW DOES IT WORK WITHOUT SUPERTHRIVE?!?!?-

That stuff is like crack for plants and 4 drops per gallon is a HUGE dose! that could be the primary reason for such extreme results.
I am on Dr.Bud's side, and I think the people doubting CFL's and SoG are idiots, but I wonder whether this example and it's extreme success is the result of the superthrive.

Has anyone done this method without superthrive and I just missed it? I have read some, but not most of the threads linked off the big 2.

I am currently running a micro with no superthrive, no nutrients at all actually, except for fish emulsion during veg. I dont think ill have Drbud results but my buds are swelling and looking very nice....on a hot summer day, there is nothin better than a cool budsicle ;D

Yo DrB and other HD SOG experts, i got a couple of questions. I've got the perfect stealthed place to grow, but it's a bit shorter than the usual boxes used - i've got 20" top to bottom. I'll be using PL-L type fluoros so they will save a bit of height.

Found some pots that are the right volume, and they're square, but they're only 3.5"-4" tall.. which'll still leave me with about 15" from the top of the pot to the underside of the tubes, but do give plenty of space for the budsicles to fill out as they go up..

I can't think of any reason it won't work, i'll just have slightly shorter plants, unless the pots are the wrong shape ie not tall enough?

can it still be done? this is the only place i can get a permanent grow on, the temporary lean-to i experimented in couldn't stay going permanently.

why dont you get some balls and post up a federal felony of 144 plants...until then you need to get your head out of ye arse because this has been discussed and argued until the cows came home and it is real it is not a myth....HEY if cfls arent your thing then thats ok...not everyone is good at all growing techniques
