That can be a difficult decision to make, especially with the original seeing as that you were not the breeder/grower. Usually the thing you would need to look for is tendencies of the offspring. If you are consistently getting seeds in a dialed room it is more than likely genetic. And honestly there is know way for you to know that it was even the original ogkb that pollinated itself really to begin with. All you know is that the sample you purchased had seeds. It could have been from another female in the room that threw male flowers or even possibly stray pollen from somewhere. If the common tendencies among cookies is bagseed it lends me to believe either folks have trouble dialing her in, or hermaphrodites are common in these particular lines. A hermaphrodite is a hermaphrodite, an S1 was originally designated for describing a female that is forced using sts, or some other reversal method.

seeded packs have been the story since the first thread. GSC seeds itself.
If that bothers you keep away from cookies.
bag seeds are the best seeds I've every popped. most of my favorites are supposed to come from bagseed.

my time here on IC I see folks refer to S1's even when working with genetics known to herm like Chem, OG, SD etc.

maybe you could start a new thing and call those plants H-something to designate Herm Genetics if that floats your boat.

clone onlys veg tent and there are seeds in each bud I've harvested recently from the pre flowers exposure in veg.

I love how we are calling hermaphrodites S1 seeds now. If you didn't reverse the female yourself is it really an S1. Or the result of an actual hermaphrodite. They are not the same thing. And yes I am aware that stress can cause nanners which then can pollinate. Which could be considered s1 because it is not genetic. However your statement that you ALWAYS find a few seeds lends me to believe there is a little herm in there, unless every run you do is stressed. Talking shop here so don't get huffy.

def could be enviromental unless thats the only strain that does it. but if it naturally hermes, which most cannabis will herm if stressed enough in flower.. but if its natural or cauused as a usualal expression in that pheno or you force it to reverse or happen to stress it enough to polinate and not just through blank nanners they are genetically the same s1 because you have stressed or otherwise modified the plants dna to herm and throw pollen. i would rather get a feminized seed the natural way but this is exactly why i will not buy feminized seeds. they are all prone to herm. once you reverse a plant it changes its dna and passes that herm trait along. once genetically modified it dosnt reset itself, it stays modified and id rather have it happen naturally. streeing a plant to produce seeds cant be the best way and gmo aint coool either so.... yes they are s1's most og's out around today are s1's of dank older og's. same with gsc'sand other elites.

OGKB and Forum dont herm easy, the only Cookie cut in circulation that herms hella easy is the Dhn plat.

Really the story with all of those lines is only speculation and is argued a lot. And I have never heard SD referred to as an s1. I have no problem growing cookies. This was just with regards to the statement of finding seeds in every jar.

Gonna end this right now! Ogkb 2.0 is not a herm! As chunky said he has a stressful environment and if all he's getting is a few seeds then good job to him cause there should be a shit load more! If ogkb 2.0 was a true herm she would have shown both sex organ at preflower( at the same time). Any male parts that have shown after this process are considered environmental stress factors.( plant thinks life is coming to an end and want to procreate) any male part that come at the end is considered natural evolutionary process. Other plant have both male and female part to ensure survival of the species. I have no idea why we expect cannabis to be different! Because there are male and female? we keep our females and throw our males out making an all girl garden. One or two are bound to throw male parts when their are no males in her company. Certain species of frogs will turn male when their are to many females in the group to ensure survival! life always finds a way to keep on keepin on! I believe that when we find a girl that has 100% all female parts no matter what the stress levels are we are actually finding a plant with a genetic disability! Imagine if all breeders only used females like this for breeding we have a bunch of retarded plants due to the fact that they can't procreate and seeds will be lost in the past with all the other great genetics that people have tossed away with yesterday's trash cause they threw one or two male flowers!personally I love finding bag seeds it means I don't have to go pay a shit ton of money for crappy genetics that turn out to be worst then the bag seed anyway!

A hermaphrodite flower that shows at the END of flowering isn't going to produce mature seeds. So your amazing revelation doesn't mean a damn thing. In an open pollination, natural environment yes, I am going to leave those, probably won't notice them, they are part of a natural process. But I am not going to intentionally breed with them. Times certainly have changed if we are LOOKING for those types of plants for breeding.
