100% success
clonex
300 ppm veg solution
the pump is disconnected right now

I actually veg plants in here for a while, I dont plant until masses of foot long roots form.

I put all my sprayers in and had to bore the hole out a little with the 5/32 and 1 of the red sprayers looks like its off center a little on the longest part of the bar. Should I re-cut that piece and make sure its going straight up like the rest or will that one thats off center just a little ok? Its not bad, its just a little off, like maybe that one will only get half spraying up and the rest back in but hopefully will be ok. Anythoughts? If I wanted to plug that hole would I just put some hot glue over it and re-drill it? Also what is that material Grinchys using?

It is soft tubing, used to connect hydro fittings. Any hardware or grow shop should have it. However it doesn't hold itself up, needs a pvc frame anyways, and is hard to keep the sprayers upright and aligned. All you have to do to insert sprayer is poke a hole with a nail. I was being lazy, I don't recommend it. And yes, I would redrill that piece. Sprayers misaligned have the chance to spray water right at the crack of the lid, creating a leak.

Those E-Z cloners are WAY over priced. Thanks for giving a quick and easy DIY tutorial. I've found so much of the info on this site to be informative, from Big Toke's Buckets to Blazeup's DWC....keep up the awesome work people!

have about 50% that look like they will make it for sure this round, just hoping i will get some more to root here. all of my genetics will be preserved which is why I made the cloner so a success! now with some clonex or something I might get an improved success rate. will have to see next time or in 7-10days. thanks for the help guys. already rooted clones are two sour bubble bx3s that made it from my test round

peace and smoke

another great way to get roots it to lower your PH to at least 5.8 and try not to go over 6.0 but add the GH 3 Part Solution at .5 .5 .5 and you will have some wonderful results. No clonex, no nothing.......and keep the rez at a good 78 no more than 80 and your golden!

I get 100% results with just strait tap water. 4 t5 flourecnts about ph 6. in 5-10 days. but I use a recycle timer 1 min on, 5 min off. with this you will get 100% keep temp at 68-70f or algie will start to grow or other funk. that will also cause your ph to go up.

AERO Cloners are the coolest thing since sliced bread :-D

Damn guys I really owe you all a thanks for helping me achieve damn near 100% success rate first time out. Getting great covereage with the EZCloner red misters and a 300GPH pump in a 25gal roughneck. Used the ole grab a drillbit that is just under the width of the mister base and pressed and twisted in for a tight fit, no leaks at all although I did get a nice blister out of it somehow. Here is my rig and current babies (Blue Mystic, C99F2, SwtCin99). So far I can definitely see 8 out of 10 throwing nubs and the last two are looking promising.

AEROCLONERS FTW

AEROCLONERS FTW

10 for 10 guys first time out. Just finished transplanting into my FFOF medium. It took the full 10-14 days for mine to take off but DAMN when they take off they freaking EXPLODE! The pics are a few days old and they have really blown up now and have approx 6-8 inches of roots each! Wow what an amazing way to clone and incredible plant :-D. Again I cannot express enough thanks to this community, you all ROCK!

why create more waste on this planet by buying all those cubes and all that hormone solution in those plastic bottles when you can re-use every part of this DIY cloner thousands of times?

Haha hell yeah LiLWaynE.
I tried to give ya +rep for that one but I need to spread more around 1st!

Hellz Yea Little Wayne, no wasted MONEY either......I mean seriously the only money spent is on the plastic beer cups when their ready! LoL.....hey I have not tried it yet, but would rooting clones and putting them straight into my FFOF with added high N guano, and High P guano, as well as Kelp Meal, and Azomite.....would that be too hot for fresh rooted clones out of the aero cloner or should something like just straight FFOF be used instead? I pre mix my stuff and let it sit for a good 3 weeks or so, that way it all mixes together well. Anyone know if I can or should use this, cause its my main mix, what I use once Im root bound. Its really a great mix, and makes them grow healthy and fast, but Im just not sure If I should put clones straight from the Aero Cloner because I dont want them to burn or anything....I dont know how sensative those are, or if since they have nice roots coming out of the aero cloner if they can handle it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

trust me that timer will make em grow way better. makes a world of differance. gives them just enough dry time for the roots to take in oxygen without drying out.:woohoo:

So what is the best time to put them on? I have read so many diff suggested times, but I just dont know whats the best. Im told 30/30 is the best, and 15/30 is even better. I dont know.....anyone got a answer? Thanks much!

-Thanks Wayne yea I heard 15/15 too, but also try 15/30 I heard that my buddy has had incredible results with that, keeping his temps at 76-78 strictly and not lower or higher.

I started running my water 24/7 with about 5 drops of superthrive when I first built the cloner and felt that I should be getting roots faster. so I added a light timer that I was not using and the shortest time it would come on was 15 minutes so I started off with 15/15. This did seem to help them root faster. I believe one of my problems to start was my sprayers might be a bit too high. By just adding the light timer at 15 min on/15 min off, I definitely gave the roots some time to dry out.

Then I did a bit more research on here in this actual thread and was given some great advice by my fellow heads. I have also read elsewhere that 1 min on and 4 min off and 1 min on and 5 min off are the supposed best times for aero or aero cloners. So I went and bought a CAP adjustable repeat cycle timer so I could try both 1/4 and 1/5 and here I am.

I will take 40 more cuts and use the new timer on it and let you know the success. No matter what I will do better then last time. Like everything it takes some time to use good equipment effectively. A little superthrive for me, extra clean cloner inside and out, CAP adj. repeat cycle timer, some love, equipment whoring, savings of around 2 bills and a buzz are my tips. Peace Smoke
