ok so i spoke too soon earlier. it looks like 3/9 made it my first time through 2 sour bubble bx3 girls and 1 bx3 guy. i will be filling it up with 40 here pretty soon, still collecting superthrive and I am having trouble finding a timer I can use that will have unlimied on off settings per day. what is the best amount of on to off time for an aeroponic cloner like this and where can you get a time that will work on that schedule. my times right now are 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off. is that going to work or should i continue my search for a better time for aeroponics. let me know what you guys think? peace and smoke.

Find one with 1 on and 5 off or 4 off
ebay has them
(repeat cycle timer) thats what you need. trust me the roots love having 1 minute of water on them and 4-5 minutes of dry time. Ive got such long roots I have to cut them from time to time to keep them out of the pump. and no it doesnt hurt them when there that long and healthy

Im in love with a clonerrrr (to the im in love with a stripper beat)

blacked out water proof file cabinet - 2 for $5
2ft of 1/2"pvc - $2.25
15pack of 360* sprayers - $2.17
525gph pondmaster on clearance - $18.00

$28 for a kick ass aerocloner that cost me 8% of an ez cloner, priceless

will get a pic up if anyone wants to see it.

I had a very minor leak problem when I first set it up but these file boxes at office depot have a double wall thing between them and the lid so all you gotta do is drill a little baby hole in the inside one and then everything that gets past the first wall drains back into your system. Ive had mine running about 3 days and there is 1 little puddle about the size of a nickel on my drip tray.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread, your input is very much appreciated and im glad to have such knowledge-able people available to teach me.

Stay safe and keep it green GC!

Something I found out today when cleaning my cloner. If you use the red sprayer nozzles with the blue bottoms, you can pop off the red part so that you can actually get on the inside of the mister where the clogging happens. I cleaned out a ring of hairs in each sprayer and reinstalled everything. My sprayers coverage is 10x better now and none of the streams merge together when coming out of the sprayer.

Just a lil tip for yall

do you have any specific links to one that is decently priced. i looked on ebay and it does not seem you can just plug your pump into these. thanks for you time and help.

I sugest only using 2 pumps off one of these timers cause of the initial startup load draws about 8 amps of each pump in the 400-500gph range.
I ran a contactor/relay off my timer to a power strip so that the load is on the contactor not the timer so I can run as many pumps off one timer as I want without overloading it. This can also be made for the lights too, so they dont overload a single timer.:joint:

My Aerocloner is perfect except i've left the plants in there for 2 long and the tops are gathering mold.
My setup (hydroton ebb n flow) needs 3 weeks to finish
What is the best way to keep my clones (not in the cloner)? Beer cups with soil? is there something easier to transplant into hydroton? Thanks

vigilo, if i need to get them out, i just stick them in styrofoam cups with coco....

with hydroton though, you have me stumped...

I just ordered the EZ-Cloner sprayers, and I was wondering what size bit I should use to get them to screw in nice and easy. I just dont wanna struggle with it and have to hot glue it or something....cause you never know when these kinda things are going to clog or something.

I noticed that KingRalph glued down the water pump, and I was wondering what everyone else did. Or does the frame hold it in position?

Also Is it good to keep this water PH at around 6.0? What would be the best clone solution to use CloneX which is what the Stems dipped in right? Then I was wondering what the best rooting accelerator would be to put in the tub would be? I should use both dipping the stim in the gel or powder and add the rooting solution for best results right? Should RO be used or is stilled tap ok? Thanks!

What about the 15/15, is that 15 minutes on 15 minutes off? It seems those timers are a bit pricey!!! Does anyone know where to get one thats not so expensive?!

at what point do you give up on a clone that just isnt going to root? thanks for any experiences peace and smoke

I got the Ez Clone Neoprone Collars I guess the same ones used in the EZ Clone, and the EZ Clone Sprayers. Im going to use a 18 gallon, and it snaps right on. I heard the 18 gallon for some reason wont leak. Its also all Black. So hopefully no light gets through. I am wondering what size the EZ clones Neoprones size is though because I wanna lay out the drilling on the lid I have. Anyways any help is awesome...thanks!

I have the EZ-Clone 360 Mister and I was wondering If anyone has the size bit to use on the 360 degree sprayers because its far smaller than 11/32 trust me! The 360 red sprayers are a small size but Im not sure what the bit is....and I dont wanna mess it up!

Is it 5/32???? Thats what I seemed to find from reading through this thread, no one else seemed to list it, but I dont know if these were for the EZ Clone 360 sprayers....not the 320. Anyways thanks in advance!

Well I haven't been to this thread in a year or two, but I got a couple of PM's so here I am....

Since many misters have a different size bottom, if you don't own a guage, the best thing to do when selecting a drill bit is to take a mister with you and match it up. Since both the mister and PVC are soft plastic, you really don't need to tap the hole. Just drill it slightly under-size and twist them in for a nice snug fit. No sealer will be needed, and they will stay in fine.

Many moons ago when I did my set-up, I actually tapped the holes instead of drilling them. I used a #10-32 tap which worked perfect for my sprayers. But keep in mind that a 10/32 drill bit is not nearly the same thing as a #10-32 tap. In fact, the tap is about half the size of the drill bit.

Here's a shot of the two next to each other.....

As far as what I used to run my wires and hose thru the sidewall, it is a cheap plastic electrical conduit box connector. They can be had at any "Home DePot" or "Lowsers" for just a buck or two. I filled the inside of it with a piece of the same foam I used to make the pucks. Just cut it a bit too big and force it in, it will be totally leakproof.

the rubbermaid roughneck brand wont leak, there the only ones worth getting , trust me Ive tried many around the house and tried to be cheap about it. the 10, 14, & 18 gal all use the same lids too. peace:joint:

whats your ph , water temp, and quality of water. what lighting also.
I have 100% rate with mine and I add nothing and dont mist anything. I put clones in strait off the veger I cut off of. Mine uses the netpots and 2" neopre. and 8 spray heads on a 1 min on 5 min off repeat cycle timer or repeat recycle timer as some call it. I just use cfl lights over top in the 6400k range of cool white. I have all kinds of plants in my cloner at all times and even all my regular house plants get roots in about 10-15 days.

mj cuttings 5-8 days never threw one out yet
