Disturbing Prophecy from "Breeder Steve"

wow... LOTS of thoughts since I checked this thread yesterday.

I just wanted to point out that I would NOT have been able post the rest of Steve's Post where this quote came from (this thread would have been binned in about 2 seconds if I did)...and I dont think the rest of it affected that statement, but it was a rant.

I also wanted to point out that Steve was directly asked what he meant by that statement in "the original thread" he did not respond to that inquiry, but he did repond to other jibberish after he was asked to elaborate (I guess he didn't wanna break it down for us)

as to Steves ability as a breeder...I think he's TOP NOTCH, and I have nothing to beef w/ about his business practices either . Steve doesn't owe any of us anything, and he doesn't have to act like he does, and he doesn't act like he does. His quality genetics and reputation as a "Breeder" is what sells his seeds not his personality or business etiquette. (maybe he's the "seed nazi") LOL.

I was mainly concerned w/ trying to figure out what he may have been thinking when he said that....as if he had some "inside info", which it sounds as though he doesn't.

Glad to see the responses so far have come along in a fairly "civil" manner....something I feared woulden't happen.

B.C. Marijuana Party leader Marc Emery has been released from the pre-trial centre in Port Coquitlam after posting $50,000 bail.

Emery was arrested by the RCMP in Halifax last week at the request of American authorities, who want to extradite him to the U.S. to face drug and money-laundering charges.

so "Shmokin" what your thinking is that Steve is saying that his "micropropagation" stuff is going to be so revolutionary to the cannabis community that it will make "seed" selling nearly obsolete.

I can see Steve thinking that...is that what your thinking he meant? (in a poorly worded way)

The Seed Business was ended today after it was indicted for third degree sexual assault of a minor girl 'Mary Jane Doe', 16.

When asked why the Seed Businesses only reply was, " But she said she was 18 !! "

So basically tissue culture is analagous to test-tube babies, but just because scientists can make test-tube babies doesn't mean people will stop having sex.....if that makes any sense.....

Maybe it's easier to ship a tissue-cultured clone than a traditional cutting.....hmmmmm

Before the internet, people flew to Amsterdam for seeds. My buddies did it in the eighties. Very funny story. On the first trip , a buddy put the seeds in condoms and swallowed them . ( This was a very funny guy to begin with and to hear him tell the story was pretty hilarious). He spent a few days squeezing his turds only to find out they wouldn't germ after going through his body. LOL! He had to go back.

Funny story! Poor guy, searching through poo.....

I guess the internal body heat was too much for those little seeds. Glad mine are in the fridge and not up the hoop.....

Well, since none of can predict the future it is hard to say. I can say for certain that the love people have for cannabis will allow them to keep seeds going on and on for centuries as they have before us, maybe he is talking about giving away free seeds? I highly doubt it but I just hope everything is alright for him and hope everything is alright for all the other breeders so we can keep the diversity widespread.

You can buy hundreds of "strains" here in Spain...legally

Yes you can, like in the UK and the Netherlands, but in Spain just like Amsterdam or the UK it is not legal to grow the plants to produce the seeds, although in Amsterdam upto 5 on a balcony without gro-lights is tolerated. Makes seed production hard to say the least.

Stocking up is the way of the wise, learning about breeding outcrossing plants is recommended.

Hobby breeders buy more seeds than anyone.

The up side is Steve is no prophet, on occasion he does utter drunken rants.

Probably means Steve is quitting, a going out of biz sale. Didn't he go out of biz the year Shanti was busted by the swiss, only to come back?

Just another fact less rant from BS, just like the live plant shipping through micro propagation, took him until page three of that 'the seed industry is over thread' to realise he couldn't do it legally.

in spain it is legal to import and sell seeds.

but NOT to make them. thats a dilema.

there is secrets of getting around it - and make ur earnings look legal - but only to a certain point depending on the future.

im not going to go into detail..

but there is many spanish seed companies. even though they seem really crapp, most of them must make good amount of money.
