Wally, Sam that is the only way that makes sense but unfortunately it seems like making sense has no bearing on US drug policy. Over the years they have succeeded in ignoring anything that points to legalization. I think it was Nixon who had a panel put together on herb and when they came out with their recomendation (decriminalzation) he ignored it. To be honest I no longer expect any major change in our drug policy in my lifetime. Of course I wish things weren't this way, I've felt like an outcast for forty years, I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to not be branded a criminal. Hope springs eternal but I just don't see it happening.

On a state level, states like my state (PA) continue to follow this archaic metality where some horrible things get by and progressive things are discouraged. It seems like drinking is encouraged and things like slot machines are ok. even smoking in public places is ok. have a few joints though and your name is on the 6:00 news like you are john dillinger.

Here's my 2 cents .... a guy ... named "Breeder Steve" sells seeds online ... goes into a forum claiming the end of the seed business and we better stock up now!!!!

This guy sounds like a total duffas ... and all he has done is make sure I will never give him my business. IF someone were to try that in any other type of business it would be career suicide. My suggestion is to order all the seeds you can get your hands on...but buy from his competitors ... that way he'll get what he wants...his business out of business...what a dumb ass!!

As if this is the end of the seed business....come on!!! The government is still growing test grows in retired mine shafts up here in canada. but the seed business is going to be shut down? What about the 3 farmers I know that are growing Hemp legally for seeds and oils extract? These are 800 acre farms .... and this is Canada! Like people say..."what about amsterdam , france , the lost goes on!

It's a double edged sword, if they crack down on large breeders then THEY also attract attention to the cause of legalization, ans instead of having 10 large scale seed providers there will be 30 smaller ones which is harder to scout.
Think prohibiton, people still made moonshine, and it alot easier to steal beans into the country that a bottle of homemade malt liquor.
Here in Canada even with Harper in power who is IMHO a GWB ass licker things are still pretty relax, aside from Emery which is a power play on the Canadian role in NA drug policy.
I don't expect to see legalization any time soon, I think the best we can hope for is the decriminalization of posession under an OZ like they proposed a few years back under the Liberal goverment.
Heaven's Stairway which was OG was literally 3 minute walk from my office, nobody locally here cared and I can still find seeds in about a dozen different stores in less than an hour radius of each other.
Personnally I prefer paying 200$ and picking the seeds up myself in a borowed car than ordering by mail, and at 250$ local an ounce they pay for themselves and the piece of mind that staying under the radar can offer.
Besides goverment might run policy but mafia and biker gangs run the drug industry, and as long as cops and officials are so easily payed off weed and seeds will be availble.

Yes I suppose you guys are right that I shouldn't call people names...and I apologize for that if he is as credible as you guys claim. I clearly don't know the guy and have never grown his strains but what I was pointing out is the bad business approach.

i think he's a good breeder, but like many have said, he's known to go a bit overboard in his statements and actions. i think he has pretty bad paranoia to say something like that, and it is, in my opinion, pretty unprofessional to say.
everyone's entitled to their own opinion. i just dont think it'll deter his seed sales, especially with his new strains and joint projects!

Breeder Steve was breeding way before the internet and seed sales. He is one of the last of the "older " breeders like DJ Short who stand head and shoulders above most selling seeds these days.

He doesn't hype his wares like others, shouting out that their gear that they spent minutes making is better than everyone elses... not lately anyway. He also doesn't play the sucker the newbie game which has worked so well. Probably why you haven't heard of him.

Sweet Tooth, Blockhead, Blue Sattelite and the DJ Short Joint projects are all pretty spectacular and stable.

hmmmmm .... see?.... like at the end of the day...who cares if you make the best cheesburger known to man....bad business is bad business.... you can always go to the burger shop down the street....now that I've had my wake-n-bake....I'm much more relaxed and "who gives a shit" ... but this is the point I was trying to make earlier...guess I can be abrasive though.

Sorry to be a dink myself.....it's just something I felt like jumping on. kinda relates to my personal life at the moment...I'm just pissed in general about bad business practices. I see guys like Gypsy making all the right decisions and business practices...and Dutch Passion seems like another great business. Why would I even consider buying from a guy like Steve when there are guiys like Gypsy and Dutch or Chimerra for that matter ... Cali-O was a great strain.

Is Breeder Steve banned from this website? I thought ICMAG was now the most viewed cannabis forum. I am posting here for the intellectual debate on good business practice as the first post on this thread stated. IS this info BS or just a breeders scare tactics.

If you people are so willing to bash my opinion, why am I not allowed to bash someones business practice. I'm starting to think Nepthaze has a personal investment in Steve.
