Digital Berry Bx1 outcrosses...

S

Slip Kid

I just germed 11 Digital Berry BX1 X Carolina Blue and now I have 11 plants, they all came up and look great. They're all in coco now and ready to kick ass.My apologies for taking soo long to get to these but I think the time is right and these should turn out great. All 11 look perfect, they'll have 40 days veg then flip.:)

This is a great representation of how these Digital/Carolinas are growing.I had to throw a few into flower at 4 weeks of veg due to massive overcrowding in the veg room and I didn't want to lose any of these good ones to getting lost in the mix.I flipped 3, 2 out of the picture are even fatter, the rest are being trained towards a 600 vert bulb.Sometimes plants don't respond well from horizontal to vert right away so I use overheads with a vert bulb right before they hit my flower rooms. These and the Blue Satellites have been my most vigorous seedlings for sure.:)

Here's another one, nice female about 3 weeks into 12/12.Damme near lost the whole show when my a/c blew last night.Luckily I have a collection of used a/c's of every size and I saved the show. The funniest part is that the 1975 10,000 BTU unit works better than the 2012 24000 BTU unit.Regardless I saved all the Digital/Carolina Blue's from certain death.:)

I cut this section off today. It's late in my garden and the next rotation is moving in. When I cut the top end off the whole room lit up!:)

Here is a look at the 4 seedlings from the Digi berry mom and DF's STB male. That would make these F2 right DF? Lots of dbl serrations forming as well as the harsh burnt rubber scent when the stems are rubbed.

hey brother man - what's good! Very glad to see you sorting a few out - it's an honor.

I'd say these are a Bx2 of the Digi mother...Digi x [Digi x (Digi x Sour Bubble Bx2)] - one outcross taken back to the mother clone twice. ;)

You do have some Digi Bx1 Ix1 though, I think, yes...ie Digi Bx1 x Digi Bx1

Anyway - I see what you were saying about how indica they were looking - kinda crazy and NOT what I would have really expected. Maybe channeled a bit more of Arnold in that male than I thought, huh. Plant 2 and 4 looking real nice though from my perspective...#1 is looking straight up kushy - lol. Not sure what to say about that.

They do look like great plants though - they have several of the traits I like to look for - but that goes to say I am a predominantly indica head in the first place, so...take it with a grain of salt perhaps.

The pre98 bubba x digi bx1 male I used on that Ghost OG mother - had that REAL rank burnt rubber / skunk smell as well - but with a slight undertone of blueberry seeping through...

I'm sure they will be potent - and have the right high - consistent with Digi - but if that glorious blueberry muffin flavor is some how washed out - I'd say it's a fail. But that is really peculiar - because in the other outcrosses I've grown off that STB male - there was no doubt a heavy blueberry aroma coming off a large majority of the kids...

Leaves me scratching my head.

I know when we talked last time, you said no serrations showing - and as they are maturing, now the fans are showing them - so hopefully, that blueberry surfaces with a bit more age as well - but I gotta say - those do look MIGHTY indica, like you said...hmmm.

:respect: man - great to see ya post up! Hope you're having a good holiday season...

I do notice they all have that whispy tip at the end of the fan blades that Digi has - and I know it was one of the traits I sought out, in combination with the serrations when sorting for the male...I look closer @ #2 and that one looks pretty stellar, actually.

I bet #1 is a male...those super heavy indica ones usually tend to be - is what we have decided, right? lol...

The indica leaning plant is nice, reminds me of arnold but with a blueberry color and leaf smell. It's stout, strong smelling and I'll look with glasses next time . Thought I seen preflowers already. Looked like a little ball so you may be right.

Those digi are beautiful very nice work you did on those D.F! I'll be following along also slip kid those are some chunky fat buds nice job. How pungent is the blueberry smell with those ladies? They Look very nice and yield looks really good also. I'll be following to see these gems you guys have growing. Also a blueberry fanatic here that misses that old school blueberry smell and not the most watered down versions of today from Dutch banks.

Hey mike - fwiw - Chili_B is THE digi man - his cut - the source if you will.

Back in '09, I think it was, I started sorting his Digi Bx1 creation and spent some time hunting through the handful of magic beans I was blessed with...

Once I selected a male, pollen got lost in the wind and was blown across different directions and continents, and Chili was able to take it back to the original clone and make a Bx2 generation...

It's really HIS work - and I've just had the honor to splash around in the pool like a hyper active child...and have utilized the male I selected in as many ways as possible...such as the CB x DB that slip ran...

It's only because of his generosity that Digi has ever survived and made it into the IC community at large - we all owe him a great deal of respect.

Yeah, I don't like to take credit from another - or dilute the genetic history / happenings of a plant - I like to keep it all neat and tidy - and certainly, everything I know about Digi, I have been taught by Chili.

That man has an eye for great cannabis - and knows how and when to utilize it. Smart fella for sure...and a true good soul.
