a week or two into flower and they are budding up. very well behaved stretch wise so far and thats thanks to the digiberry. My blueberry cut is incredibly stretchy. To put it into perspective, the only two strains i havent had to train to reduce height in my cab so far have been DC and the bubba S1s

thanks m. definitely some sweet berry type smells going on now too. my BB cut goes through sweet hashy and then cotton candy before smelling like berry and floral. it'll be interesting to see how these compare.

Looking good, VG - It's almost impossible to tell what the flowers would have looked like or how they would have performed if unseeded. I am assuming you didn't keep any clones to show such?

Either way - they appear frosty. Can't really detect any sort of traits from either parent in those pics - but it would seem to me the plant structures resemble your blueberry mom - but the flowers are certainly more Digi Bx1 influenced...

Would you say the berry smells are more intense in these offspring or in your mom?
What differences have you noted in the filial generation vs. the mother, etc...

I see a few serrations on #5 - that's the only one I see such on. Fair to assume (from my experience) you would find the more Digi influenced offspring from the plant with the heaviest serrations.

hi frank. i agree it would have been nice to see the flowers as sensi to evaluate better, and compare to the mum. in veg they had very similar leaves

but as these were the only F1 seeds i felt i should make as many F2 seeds as possible. I did take clones of them a week or so ago and hopefully they will root ok.
smell wise my BB cut has floral and sweet hashy smells - a bit of a riot with berry in there fairly strongly. these seem sweeter and more focused on sweet berry or at least a couple of them do.

Right on VG - It's cool to see him paired out to another blueberry....and nice to know that it effectively hasn't altered what you like about your cut TOO much, it wouldn't seem...while still retaining the the true blue smell profiles...

Keep in mind that the Digi clone is quick to finish 53-60 days...and my male seems to been producing offspring that finish fairly consistently within that time frame as well. I would tend to think that plants showing high lateral branching, faster finishing times and display heavier leaf serrations - and obviously the dead give away smell on a stem rub - would be more representative of Digi in the F2's as well..

If you don't mind, I'd love to hear about any differences in the resin glands themselves - in particular, their stalk length and gland size, and let me know the variance in your blueberry cut vs. the outcrossed digi bx1 offspring...

I really hope you manage to unlock what you are look for - I know first hand there is ZERO substitute for the right blueberry!

That #5 really does seem to have an elongated flower structure compared to most of the Digi type flower sets. I think I really see the best blend of the two in that plant. I really hope the clones of this one root for you - I think she'd be a real beauty too see sensi style.

And you know I wasn't complaining about the seed, as that was the WHOLE POINT. Only complaint I could ever make is you made other beans instead of more BB x - hehehehe!!!

not sure who disliked my one post up there - the trollz seem to be coming out of hibernation - my own opinion on filial offspring from one of my own selections...yeah, let's dislike the weighted opinion...the logic of trollz is pitiful.

Hey frank. i'll get an eyeglass on the resin glands asap and see if i have a macro of my BB cut to compare.

as for the seeds it's sods law really. the BB cross was the one i spent ages trying to eke out the pollen for and dust as many flowers as possible.... whilst the original haze cross was an afterthought which i didnt hold out much hope for. in the end i got more haze x digi seeds but not that many of either.
i think the F2s are quite an exciting prospect though, with a range of expression between my BB and the digi there should be some awesome keeper phenos in there. they will have to be thoroughly tested first but all signs so far are good. no male flowers to be seen on the F1s and i did have to bend two of them over mid flower in the end as they were just a little too tall - which didnt encourage any nanners (something i have seen before on BB)

Beautiful organic flowers right there, VG. I'm hoping some of those seeds make it to the 'bay. I really need some good blueberry in my garden and I missed out on d.f's release.

thank guys. the plants came down a week or so ago and look like they have a fair few seeds to harvest.

smells really coming through as they dry... definite berry smells but the sweetess is tempered by a strong hint of fuelly sour-ness that i can only presums is from the sour bubble that was used in digi bx. it reminds me a bit of Rez's Blue Chem cross.

frank, the resin glands have a head but are also kind of 'hooked' to my surprise. im pretty sure they are straight on my BB cut so i guess this is the digi influence?

i'll be needing a few testers so look out for a thread in my 'private breeders' forum... ive hijacked D.F's thread for long enough. i'll thanks him once again for his help in this project and take my leave.. for now.

Wow. I hope that neg rep to VG for his last post was just a slip of the finger on a smartphone or something similar. Nothing even remotely questionable in it that I see. Lots of folks like myself didn't get a chance on DF's drop so huge props to him for keeping this one going.
