Designing a dual 150-watt CMH cab

Finished cab looks great! I don't think I've ever been so excited to watch someone else's grow.

The delicious cheese from the filing cabinet looks really good too, how's the finished product? (Assuming you've grown it before)

I've grown her a couple of times now, but this has been the best I've done with her yet!
:woohoo:

The first time I grew her in my PC 12/12 from seed. I then reverted her back to a vegetive state. This post is right before harvest, and this post is the dried product. I got 3.31 grams from that one bud. If I average 3.31 grams per plant, I will get 39.72 grams. That's pretty damn close to my goal of two ounces (56 grams).
:canabis:

The next round I grew her in the filing cabinet perpetual SOG with six plants. They were mothers that I replaced with fresh clones, so had been topped many times. This post is the dried product; I got 12.09 grams. If all six of the plants in there yielded 12.09 grams per plant, I would get 72.54 grams. That's pretty close to 1 g/watt.
:greenstars:

Finally I did a smoke report on her in this post.

Sounds like a slightly fruity cheese, I can't wait for my current run to finish so I can get some in my cab.
:watchplant:
Thanks for linking all the old posts, good to know it responds well to topping!

Veggin' Out

Veggin' Out

The girls were drying out way too fast in the solo cups, turns out the fan was on 24 hours instead of lights on only. I transplanted them into 6" square pots anyway. They are pretty close to being able to provide me with enough clones. I still need to build the second coliseum, the Lazy Susans, and deal with my light leaks.

Clones

Clones

I took a half tray full of clones today. I should be able to get 30 to root and fill up one side. I'm going to wait a few weeks to take clones for the other side. So they are staggered by about a month.

I got the two Lazy Susans built. I still need to improve light proofing and build the second coliseum.

Not long now! Those clones must only be a few days from throwing out some roots.

Did correcting your fan timing fix your drying issue? How's the RH?

Mad impressed!

I should have roots in another week. I just took the dome off a couple of days ago and am hardening them off.

Big plants in small pots need frequent watering. They are getting big enough now that I have to water every 2-3 days. My RH is low at about 40%-50%. I live in the desert, but it's great for flowering though!

Hopefully you can get by with watering every 2nd day with the tall pots in the carousel, might be close during stretch!

How much veg will you give them for the first round? You're aiming for similar size plants to the last SOG grow in the filing cab right?

I'm envious of the desert, being subtropical and next to the ocean it's dehumidifier or die.

The real issue is the girls are too big for the pots they are in. I debated transplanting them again. I even debated throwing the moms in my storage cab and flowering them. In the filing cabinet, the tall pots could go 3-5 days easily. At the end they went 8 days without water before they wilted.
:clock watch:

Yep, I'm aiming for a single cola about 12"-18" with bud from tip to soil. Delicious Candy stretched about 3x so veg until about 4"-6" would be ideal. I'm not sure about the OG Kush or Tahoe OG, but the Deadhead OG has a similar stretch.
:plant grow:
The arid climate is great for flowering, drying, and hash making.

Let's get ready

Let's get ready

I went and got a bag of Coco Loco and filled all the pots. When I checked on the clones, I thought they needed another week. So I'll get them in here this weekend. I'm going to use a low wattage CFL for the first week or so until I see new growth.

These moms were not looking too good in the smaller pots, so I also picked up some 2 gal fabric pots. I may throw them in my storage cabinet and flower them out under the LEDs. I even debated flowering them in here.

Amazing build! Reminds me of a modified bureau i used to grow in back in the day, however mine was nowhere near this neat! subscribed :)

Looking good man, the carousels came out really well. Will be great to see those clones start off this weekend.

I even debated flowering them in here.

You should, they're almost the perfect size to stretch into a nice donut around that bulb and it takes some pressure off making another batch of clones.

Those single ended cmh bulbs look great, I was surprised how cool the 150w bulb runs although 2x70w bulbs are a little cooler.

Great work on the build and how everything finished off, hope the grow goes just as smooth!

That cabinet looks epic Reiko! Cant wait to see it pumping flowers like a machine! :)
Thanks Buddah Watcha, if it works as good as it looks I'll be set!

Thanks mrpewpew, I think the hard work is going to pay off. I like how unique it is. The workbench and storage alone are worth the effort.

Wow! What a neat build man! Subscribed!
Hang on Budpirate, it's about to get fun now!

Yeah, it will probably be easier to take care of six bigger pots instead of 30 small ones too.

Well today I finally got my clones planted. I am missing a few because only 27/36 or 75% rooted. The ones that didn't root were on the edges and not totally covered by the seedlings mat.

They will get 24 hours of 40W CFL until I see new growth. Then I will turn on the CMH 18/6 until they are 4-6 inches tall.

I've decided to flower out the moms on the other side as a comparison.
