Congrats on a job well done, ReikoX. I've followed your threads and seen what you posted since you joined Icmag, and you always had well done grows and posts/threads.
I'll follow this one as well. I like your style.
Good luck!

Here is the coliseum at about four weeks flowering. They were a bit dry after five days, but not wilting.

Here are the screens at five weeks flowering. They were also a bit dry, but not wilting. I'm going to try ever three days, but only water on the extra watering.

Here they are back huddled around the bulb. If you look at the bottom you will notice that the lazy Susan is no longer there. I had to remove them from both sides, they weren't getting enough air flow.

This is good a place as any to put this. This was motivated by me seeing a huge temperature difference from min and max. I run multiple cabs, so I created a chart by totaling the number of watts of the lights by hours they are on. You can see there is also a big difference of wattage from min and max. The new light schedule should keep that difference lower and spread out through the rest of the day.

Here are the clones at four and a half weeks. About half way there! I took some more fan leaves and a couple of little sucker shoots that keep coming back. They got plain RO water adjusted to pH 6.5.

Here are all the screens at five and a half weeks. Not too bad, but I've done better. They got watered with plain RO water adjusted to pH 6.5.

I've got three more clones this week. Last week was Strawberry Blue, Super Lemon Haze, and Afghani on the bottom. This week is Deadhead OG, OG Kush, and Holy Grail 69 on the top. Last week I had three empty spots, this week I had to pull the three smallest ones. I couldn't stand to kill them, so they will finish in my filing cabinet. I should have 15 in the filing cabinet and 12 in the coliseum come harvest. But I will also have the coliseum half full with the oldest being five weeks.

Here are the rest of the girls in the coliseum at five weeks.

Girls are about six weeks and starting to fatten up. They are most likely going to outweigh the screens by a great deal.

Right about seven weeks. I gave them a plain pH watering. They will only get Bio Boost from now on.

Here is the coliseum at 6.5 weeks. It's starting to look exciting in there!

Here are last week's clones on the bottom; THC Juanita, CBD Juanita, and Holy Grail 69. They have had a little more veg time than the rest.

picture.php

The screens are about 7.5 weeks now. I'm not going to flush this round, instead I will keep using the Bio Boost this last week like the feeding schedule suggests.

wow dude they are looking super great. This seems to be a great growing chamber.

Thanks, despite a few hiccups This grow is going great. I'm getting excited to see what each side will yield. I also need to decide what I'm going to do in there next.

Love this grow. Super creative and fun.

How did you wind up deciding on the Metal Halide light? Whats the heat like and energy efficiency?

Also, how did you know beforehand that all this would work? I mean, there is quite a bit of detail in all this. Airflow, heat buildup, smell, watering/run-off. I tried something with a simple veg cab and ended up having to abandon it. #fail
Between the sketches, design and execution, I'm guessing you're an architect!

Thanks, It's working out as planned.

I think I mentioned it at the beginning of this thread, but the lights started this whole thing. I got 3x 150W MH ballasts, and 4x 39W T5HO ballasts for free from an old aquarium light (coral) my neighbor was throwing away. Once i found out I could run the CMH off the ballasts, I went with the CMH bulbs. This is my first time using HID bulbs, but so far heat has been manageable. I'll have a better idea on efficiency in a couple of weeks.

How did I know it would work? Well I didn't, but it is my fourth build. I did a lot of research on 150W HPS grows and found one on another site by a fellow named bongsauce (Google bongsauce 150). He did a dual 150W HPS build that is very similar to mine. It is basically a micro version of Anti's 800W CMH. I also read a lot of vertical grows and got a feel for how to efficiently grow vertically.

Airflow was the easy part, everything is spelled out clearly in the Ventilation 101 thread.

Watering is done by hand still, so no issues with watering, pumps, runoff, etc. Close, I'm not an architect, I am a computer programmer . I've been using sketch up to do different designs for almost a decade now.

Fantastic project and grow space super efficient... enough plants to mess around with some messing-breeding!

Hats off man and enjoy your plants.

curious about the yield off those coliseum plants..

Ive never flushed any of my harvests but this time I will..
coz I like vaping for more than 20min and in the end when there is like nothing and if I continue to vape got a feeling that Im vaping fertilizer or something../ maybe its all in my head lol/
anyway will flush with phed water this time and will find out if its better when its flushed or no change :)

These are the clones that I have been pulling out of the coliseum. I have been pulling the shortest one each time. There will be three more next week filling up the filing cabinet. The week after that is harvest.

picture.php

Added three new clones this week. I tied up the taller ones for support.

picture.php

Here is the rest of the coliseum. They are seven weeks old and starting to look sparkly.

Less than a week to go, there is quite a bit of bud in there. Next time I will be more aggressive with the back of the screens. There is a lot of larf there. Oh well, more for the hash pile.

63 days and time to chop the screens. I have no clue how much to expect. I will manage the screens better next time. I didn't get as nice of a color fade on them. I think it's because I fed them the whole time.

Tahoe OOG

Deadhead OOG

Lots of popcorn and larf behind the screens. I will be more aggressive with pruning next time.

Worked out well having the screens to hang the manicured bud from to dry.
