Almost there...

Almost there...

I got the drawers and door fronts edged. The drawers are cut down, and painted. I got the drawer slides to install them. They should fit perfectly now. I also got all the rest of the hardware for the doors.

I got the two light traps installed, that was a tight fit. I am not going to have fun when I have to replace that filter. Man that melamine is some reflective stuff, even with these there was still a slight glow. So I painted the whole interior flat black, sorry I forgot to get a picture. No more light leaks, and the false back was put back in place.

:woohoo:
I'm so close now. I just have to install the doors and drawers, and build the lazy Susans and the second coliseum. I hope to start taking clones and getting the first half filled up within the next couple of weeks.

Looks like you're almost there now!

How's the clone production coming along? Any idea what strains are going in for the first run?

:needcoffee:
I have slacked a bit on taking clones. I've got eight or so rooted in 10 oz cups that I put in a week ago. They could go in there now if I wanted. I took another 16 a week ago, they should have roots by this weekend when I have some time to put them in 10 oz cups. They were originally intended to be put in the filing cabinet. I have another patient who is just finishing up and he needs six new clones for his next round.
I also have five "cuts" of Agent Orange that are not rooting for me. They got left with the dome on while I was away, so I gave them an extra week. One barely rooted, but died when I put it in the soil. So I re-cut the rest and gave them another week, but no roots. They are quite yellow and I'm not sure they will make it. I thought I saw some new growth on them yesterday, so I may get lucky. She's been a temperamental bitch; we got her in Denver and my brother is flowering her now. If these clones don't make it we will have to try a reveg.
:wallbash::wallbash:

So, I am thinking I will take six of the clones I have (one for each section) and drop them into six inches pots. I'll put those pots in there and veg them up for a couple of weeks, then pillage them for clones and throw them on the compost pile. What I will most likely run is either Delicious Candy in all six sections or Delicious Candy in three sections on one side and and the other side will be a section of Tahoe OG, OG Kush, and Deadhead OG.

Always drooled over the Deadhead OG and Tahoe OG from CC. And OG Kush is legendary. I say split it.

Running only delicious cheese in one half and a selection in the other sounds like a good plan, 6 weeks or so and we'll be seeing some action!

The home stretch

The home stretch

Heading into the home stretch. I got the doors hung, and installed the drawers and hardware. I still have to install the hardware and locks on the doors, light proof the doors, building the Lazy Susan for each side, and finish the last coliseum. I hope to have some plants veging in there by the end of the week.

This is awesome bro! You are creative as hell and smart as a whip! I could never pull something off like this. I'm not a handy man! But kudos. I love watching and learning. Especially with a new cab of my own I'm working on.

Take care and keep us posted!

soon at ikea?
I looked at a LOT of IKEA before deciding to build my own. That and kitchen cabinets were what my final design was based on.

Thanks, it has taken a lot of time and effort, but it's about to pay off soon!

Fire it up!

Fire it up!

Got the hardware and locks installed. Started the light proofing, but it still needs work. You can tell the right side is one.

Not only is it on, but I also put some plants in there. Currently it is holding steady at 81°F. These girls will veg out under 18/6 for a couple of weeks until I can get 10-15 clones off of each. Each one represents a section. Three Delicious Candy on the left and Deadhead OG, Tahoe OG, and OG Kush on the right.

Soon I should have something like this from each of those plants. These are some Delicious Candy I am growing in my filing cabinet. They are about 8.5 weeks and will be harvested this weekend.

After running all night the temp maxed out at 85°F. :good: That's without many plants in there. I've found that as plants take up more volume and transpire more, the temperature is easier to keep cool.

Finished cab looks great! I don't think I've ever been so excited to watch someone else's grow.

The delicious cheese from the filing cabinet looks really good too, how's the finished product? (Assuming you've grown it before)
