Deep Stoner Thoughts

It does seem that most humans have a predisposition to violence. It starts with outsiders, and strangers and continues on through friends and loved ones. I for one feel it's really sad that the differences that make life oh so beautiful and amazing can be the catalyst for the destructive forces we unleash upon each other and our surroundings..

What about all the video game revenues from violent games ?

It's about a $20 billion industry.

Not saying it's good or bad.

Blow sh-t up & kill the bad guys video games do not appeal to me.

It does seem wierd that people get some kind of fun out of simulated homicide.

So which Violent video game is the most fun ?

You speak of the Duality. You discern that Life is of a Dual nature!

(Look closely at "sad". Is there a component of anger in the feeling for you? I find it is so for me ... )

Aw yeah, Herman!!! Paris Texas touched my heart strings too!!!

Well, it was a very good movie also! With awesome actors and unforgetable Pictures. It´s funny, the movie is old but i saw him the 1st time before 2 years. After watching the movie, i was checking some of the places/citys, how it is looking there today.

Just before a week, i saw the story of Blue Note Records, called "It must Schwing". The real story of 2 german jews, emigrated, to the USA in the nazi-time and founded the best Jazz record label. Wim Wenders was produce.

Are you american Teddybrae? Where do you saw the movies? In a Cinema? I can´t imagine that they show this Kind of movies in TV?

That 16 year old kid winning $3 million dollars for playing fortnight is the best example I've seen of how hugely degenerate the population has become. Unbelievable. It shows me also that having lots of money has become totally meaningless.

NO. On TV, Man ...

In Australia there are these three channels focused on multi cultural stuff. So one of the channels is running 'world movies' and Himmel over Berlin was one of the first they played.

In the 3rd season of Breaking Bad, Jesse says (accurately) that his most recent meth cook is the "best schizz ever"

Now I have to figure out, how do you spell "schizz" ?

Depends on whether you're Snoop Dog or Jessie.

I watched the entire series of 'Breaking Bad' once, out in the bush at a friend's place. Watched all 60-some episodes in a 3-4 day period. Seriously screwed with my head.

I recommend some form of therapy if doing marathon viewings of such stuff.

Zulus, Mongols, euro-americans etc.. didnt have video games when they were expanding their territories, witch hunts, Nazis, slavery all predating video games, violent movies, rap music, etc.. there are too many examples to list here, and they aren't isolated to one group or another, every race, color, Creed, nationality has their share of people who for one reason or another don't see the value in other people. Suggestion through these different media platforms may heighten, or increase the possibility in some people, but no justifiable reasoning for the large scale violence that takes place daily.. in my opinion at least..

Yea, definitely! Anger because it's kids being killed, and so many fear and pride killings, that it just doesn't make much sense. Natural death is a sad situation, in and of itself, these unnatural just add an extra layer to the onion..

Hello all,

Well, in just a few hours my family and I are off on a cruise for 7 days. All iis packed and double checked.

In cruises past I have just taken flower as I am the only one that partakes of the herb. Taken one hits was easy enough but involved stealth. And smoking in the room was sketch but doable.

But this year, I have opted for oil carts and a battery...sooo stealth and no smell to speak off.

We have a balcony room and it will be nice to kick it out on the balcony with my tunes and a beer and my vape.

No worries getting on the ship...but any remaining oil is to be offered to the sea gods just before leaving.

Looking forward to sunshine, food, liquor (a little).

Plane leaves in 7 hours. wohoo.

Later,

Anybody else ever try Water-less Septic ?

Do you think in a hundred years, people will throw away a few gallons of water every time they excrete something ?

The first time I was introduced to the technology was in Willits.

"It doesn't smell ?!" - I was so surprised.

For a long time here, folks without a well, who relied on sometimes-spendy delivered water to holding tanks, and trying to be frugal, would recite an old rhyme common in this area; "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown, flush it down."

Of course, many since that time have converted to the low-volume tanks on toilets, and use considerably less water than once upon a time.

As the planet and climate change, and people approach the 8 Billion mark, there's lots of things we didn't consider as priorities that now are.

I've asked more than a few Alaskans who have been here as long or longer, or almost as long as I have; "when, in the fish markets here 30-45 years ago, did you see Pollock in a fresh fish case?" It may have been hidden back then in processed sea foods, but if you'd have asked most fresh fish counter folks back then if they had any fresh Pollock, I suspect many would've thought you were asking about something your Doc found in a colonoscopy.

It's after we deplete a given commodity that we begin looking for the next trough to stick our noses deeply into, often carrying forward the same lack of concern that got us here. Water, crabs, fish, trees, farmable land, what ever.

The world is our oyster, and God gave it to us to use for our -own- purposes. Just ask us... (Kind of convenient, huh?)
