Deep Stoner Thoughts

Have you ever felt connected with someone on a deep spiritual level over the course of a conversation, just from hanging out and smoking together? Not really a deep thought, just my high thoughts tonight.

If that person says: Here, hold my beer? I think that no matter what happens?...

you should in basketball terms ...be credited 'with an assist'..

a friend has a pet rabbit...US military serves it daily & says it is "chicken" LOL! no wings, no breasts, nothing but thighs & suspiciously short "drumsticks". can't fool no country boy...:tiphat:

An acquaintance who is sometimes more morose or morbid than myself, likes rabbit, and was seeking some at the grocery stores in town for this last Easter dinner.. The irony was intentional, I'm sure.

None of the local groceries carry them, though ONE of their meat departments said they might be able to special order it. I'm sure their price would've reflected the 'special' part of it all.

This fall I was down in the Mat-Su taking care of errands, business, etc., and while in one of the lesser wholesale warehouses in Wasilla area, saw whole frozen rabbits on Styrofoam platters in their coolers. The price was notably high, and, to my surprise, they all had 'Product of China' on the labels!!

They grow them on smaller farm/ag ventures in my area, but the prices are even higher; lots of kids taking part in the 4-H and Future Farmers of America ventures.

We ate cotton tail bunnies when I was a youngster, and I've eaten a fair number of snowshoe hares, back in the day, up here. But this year the tularemia has been frequent in occurrence, with a number of cats and dogs contracting it from carcasses, or from killing bunnies themselves, and eating them. Nasty disease.

But I had NO idea we're importing rabbits for human consumption from -China-, until I was in the store in Wasilla!!!

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]rabbit is the poor man's chicken... All it costs is 10 cents for a .22 round, if you're a decent shot..

And If no got 10 cents, and can't shoot for shit, wait for heavy snow.
Then you can outrun 'em. :D
