Federal judge’s son killed, husband shot at home by gunman dressed as delivery driver

July 20, 2020 at 5:47 a.m. EDT
A gunman dressed as a delivery driver shot and killed the son of a federal judge and wounded her husband at their New Jersey home on Sunday, law enforcement confirmed to The Washington Post.
U.S. District Judge Esther Salas was not injured in the shooting, which the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service and local authorities are investigating.
The gunman showed up to Salas’s home in North Brunswick, N.J., wearing an outfit described to police as a FedEx uniform, law enforcement said. Both Mark Anderl, 63, a defense attorney and former Essex County assistant prosecutor, and Daniel Anderl, 20, a student at Catholic University in D.C., were shot after one of them opened the door for the gunman around 5 p.m., ABC News reported.
“He was shot through the heart,” North Brunswick Mayor Francis “Mac” Womack (D) told ABC News of Daniel Anderl.
Salas’s son died and her husband was rushed to the hospital for surgery, the Associated Press reported. Mark Anderl is now in stable condition, Womack told NJ Advance Media.
The FBI said it is looking for one suspect. The Marshals Service said it is also investigating, adding in a statement to HuffPost that the agency “is responsible for the protection of federal judicial officials and we take that responsibility very seriously.”

Authorities identify primary suspect in the fatal shooting at a federal judge's house and say he is dead

The man suspected of shooting the husband and son of US District Judge Esther Salas on Sunday at her North Brunswick, New Jersey, home has been identified as Roy Den Hollander, the US Attorney's Office in New Jersey announced Monday afternoon.

The FBI has called Den Hollander the "primary subject," and he has died, the statement reads.
Earlier, two law enforcement sources told CNN that the suspect died of what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. <(WINK WINK)

A lawyer who shot dead a female judge's son before turning the gun on himself had ranted online about "Feminazi rule".

[...]

Den Hollander wrote on his website that the jurist was "a lazy and incompetent Latina judge appointed by Obama".

America is overwhelmingly, an anti-racist country. One of the most anti-racist in the world as a matter of fact.

...well, until recently when BLM started breeding racial hatred. But, I hear that hating white folks is not racist under the NEWSPEAK.

an attorney that apparently did not believe any woman should have any say over what men did, and lost a case in her courtroom. gosh, what a surprise! by ALL news accounts, the killer was dead when he was tracked down. no shots fired reported by neighbors etc. WINK WINK, lol...he was looking at life in prison (if not a needle in his arm) for murdering her son, attempting to murder her husband, and undoubtedly planned to kill her as well. i'm sorry, but exactly what do you see in this as humorous? that another trump supporter will not get to vote this Nov. 3rd because he is dead? what a...
