Well they are small because i only had one month to veg in, but hell they are a beautiful plant, ill be comming back to grow these out with a longer veg time when i dont have pressure form house inspections i think...

Lovely color and not much smell yet but the trichs have only just started.

Ill try and post a pic of about 14 days ago for a comparison for growth in that time. The main bud has only grown about 2-3 centimeters and is very dense...

The main thing my wife has been trying to get me to try is this "No egg" substitute for eggs? hmmm i dont like that much either lol

In regards to the PTK showing coloration, im not sure my friend, we will have to grow them out and find out ourselves i think....

Did you plant your PTK seedbay beauties yet?
Ive only just planted ours.

The first 5 seeds i planted a few months ago from this strain really gave me a hard time but these ones seem fine so far, touch wood.

In this first pic the 2 PTK are on the right and on the left is one little G-13 girl

In this one there are 2 PTK seedlings and one unsexed DC clone that blessed me with roots from my bubble cloner.

It will be interesting to see how simliar or different our pheno's are. Ill be watching your grow journal for sure and maybe even chime in a few sneaky comments on the way through

It amazes me to see how much MJ growing has achieved and spread because of the internet and the people who take the time to document things ofcourse.

I grew up in the days of my aunts and uncles growing mj in the back yard in secret from everything and everyone....im just glad i have the opportunity to share my pride of growing marijuana

Grow journal update:

On retrospect the bud almost looks leaf/tip burnt in the pics, but in real life its the color of the leaf.
It has a kind of dark redish/chocolate coloration along the viens and on the edges. The leaves also have a purple underbelly. A colorfull afghani girl indeed!

No news on the PTK's, still swaying in the breeze
The G-13 seedling is doing well allbeit a little overwatered.

Well its day 1 of no smoking for me now....... doing well, but i can definatly notice my moods change, I find that pot helps with anger and mood problems aswell as physical pain and inflamation relife....

The wife agree's and encourages my marijuana use and is baffled why the laws are so stupid about marijuana as she see's first hand the help it brings. I dont know about these stupid laws either. All i know is that to grow enough for just myself and a few mates for genuine health and recreation choices could land me in the clink for several years....its never nice to think about it like that but sometimes i have to remind myself of this to re-assess my grow and check for security issues....

I was hoping to make her some special cake out of the hash from this harvest but well...lol not alot of hash comes from one little bud hahaha ill have to make it the goal for the next crop!

Ive been having right around 75% sucess, but I believe the 25% failure is because I still don't have the actual cutting process down to a science. I don't always get the cleanest cut, lets just say that. And they are never really near a 45 degree angle. Plus my current cuts are only my 4th run so Im still very new to this. Im pretty sure that within 6 months Ill be getting damn near 100% sucess.

I like the bubble because its so easy, just take the cut, drop it in the cloner, and wait.

Hey Leeroy, what a purty little kitty cat .

I haven't popped the PTK yet, as you know I don't have separate veg and flower chambers so I do a grow from start to finish before beginning another. I also like breaks from the paranoia inbetween, once this grow's over the next one will begin around February, and then I quit until September rolls around. I also have what has become an inconvenience, and that is a fridge with 38 different strains to choose from and a grow which holds max ten plants. I usually do three strain grows, with 3 plants of each plus one, depending on whether or not all seedlings make it or must be replaced (like this grow), which allows me add one or two other strains.

It's hard to choose Leeroy . I'm thinking already on my next grow, candidates are Mango, Pine Tar Kush, Ingemar's Original White Widow, Superfruit x Blueberry...hmmmmm....other things in the fridge which tickle my fancy also, better not look

I think ill definatly stick with bubbler cloning for a while GOG its pretty darn easy so far. Do you have much trouble regulating your water temps at all? What is the bets temps to have for bubbler cloning...i forget ?

Ive been doing that for quite some time also...only recently ive been thinking seriously about trying to get some sort of veg area happening... Are you going to organise a veg area too sometime or just leave things as they are?

I know what you mean. I used to have 4 or 5 posts in a row on my threads, definately makes you wonder if anyone is actually watching.


I honestly have never even measured my water temps. So no I have not had problems regulating my water temps because Ive never even bothered with them. As far as the ideal temp, don't quote me on this, but I believe there is a very thin line right around 80f. Again, dont' quote me on this, but I believe that at around 80F you will get roots quicker, but the risk of disease/slime goes up signifigantly. Ive heard of people adding a little peroxide to their water to help deal with those things.

Personally, in my situation it doesn't matter if my clone roots in 10 days or 5. Im sure some people doing a perpetual SOG with 100s of clones would benifit from a quicker root time, but it doesn't really have much of an impact no me. As long as the buggers root eventually, that enough for me.


as far as the getting a veg room/area up, IMO its almost a necessity. I hate working with seeds, but with only one grow space you are forced to use them. I would at least look into something that could house a mother plant or 2, that way even if you don't do the perpetual thing, you can still work with clones. At the same time, for people like blue who only grow a couple times a year for security reasons, multiple spaces are not really all that benifitial. Just gotta think whether or not the benifits outweigh the potential consequences.


BTW - you quit smoking cigs leeroy, how about a big :tup: for you brother. Man Im hooked on those beastly things, I try to quit all the time but almost everyone I know smokes, and my girl smokes so WTF. After a week I find that the physical addiction to the nicotine is gone, but the mental addiction stays for a long time. Good luck and stay strong. Hope I can heed my own advice before these things kill me.

chucky bro, yeah i quit cigarettes about 10 months ago mate...nearly a year since i picked one up.

I used to smoke very heavily since i was 12, i only just gave up at 28 so im not out of the woods as far as cancer goes but i feel a hell of alot better now. Im breathing better and my skin is alot better also.

And yes GOG the mental addiction to those bloody cigarettes lasts a long time. I still want one everyday, the only difference is i dont actually have one... Its hard when everyone smokes cigarettes around you, im the same way...as soon as i see someone having one i automatically feel like i want one...especially if im at the pub having a beer. Thats a killer time to have a smoke...

I hear ya there brother.
After sex lol, after a coffee or hot tea or sweet dessert, after a beer, hell its hard to not associate things with smoking ciggs because it becomes apart of the ritual like you said.

I found that in my first 6 months of giving up i had to stop drinking alcohol and going out, i stopped hanging around my mates that smoked until i felt i could be around them without asking for one...

Still, after sex and after food or coffee, what is a man to do...
