New York City will now allow a person of any gender to choose whether to use a men’s or women’s bathroom or locker room in city offices, public parks, pools, playgrounds, some museums and recreation centers.

Mayor Bill de Blasio, a Democrat, signed an executive order on Monday that guarantees people access to single-sex facilities “according to their gender identity” without the need to show identification or any other proof of gender.

“Access to bathrooms and other single-sex facilities is a fundamental human right that should not be restricted or denied to any individual,” de Blasio said. “Every New Yorker should feel safe in our city – and this starts with our city’s buildings.

I grew up feeling bad for minorities and gay folks because I was brainwashed by the leftist news. They feed off of emotion and insecurities and not logic of any kind. To me fairness is a numbers game. Why should women feel unsafe but transgender feel comfortable? Women are about 50℅ of the population and transgender is like less than .01 percent. What is the real motive behind this? It is to 'break'peoples minds. What was once taboo or unaccepted, is now the norm. When people see this happening all around them, whether they like it or not, they are being numbed to drastic changes, so when something big politically like communism or extreme socialism comes to the table, people will think, "Well the times have been changing, what do I know anyways. Maybe its for the best.. Think of all those that have been oppressed." That's why the leftist news always stirs up racism, homophobia, women's rights etc.

i can see this costing tax payers millions in court fees. i don't see much good coming from it. my feelings aside, i think it would be better for transgender people to use the restroom based on the sex that they were born, it would make it easier for the majority. i believe more unscrupulous people will benefit from this new law.

I posted on my facebook that I think Michelle Obama is transgender and every single leftist friend of mine that was sticking up for and idolizing Bruce Jenner, attacked me and said, " How mean.. How could you say that about the first Lady ? ". Yes they were disgusted by my comment even though we are all supposed to the regarded as the same. They didn't get brainwashed yet into thinking trans is acceptable, more work must be done before that happens. They did successfully get brainwashed into thinking it was ok for brave Bruce though, so the seeds have been planted. Just like a logger in the old days chipping away at redwoods, it takes a little time. This stunt from DeBlasio is one more step. I can almost Guarantee that any of my women friends or family members would not be ok with sharing a restroom with Superstar Bruce, let alone a regular run of the mill trans. I say Trans only bathroom or you're not putting your money where your mouth is, just making people uncomfortable.

There are many societies that accept transgender people for who they are, and their differences are integrated into the social fabric.

Wouldn't it be healthier for the masses in the united states to accept that trans gender is part of being human instead of being uncomfortable with it because they are clinging to some false idea that "God" mad man in two types?

All cultures have pros and cons. In my opinion to have a successful society one must keep the peace above all else. If a lot of folks are against it, their voice should be heard as well as who is for it. I personally could care less about gender but I do care if peoples feathers are ruffled so a very few can be comfy. Another couple years of glorifying lgbt on TV and in news and everyone will be fine with it. Why force it? . Right now, by consensus, many people are very uncomfortable with this move. A great many times more than the people that will benefit from it. At some point a choice must be made, benefit the group, or benefit the minority, but by virtue of reason and logic, both cannot be accomplished simultaneously.. I love and adore most humans no matter if they are different than, or the same as me, or one another fwiw..

Its a part of natural human variation, there is nothing to fear.

if someone or the majority of people are truly upset about having to accept human variation than they need to look at why that is.

in America society intolerance of natural differences derives from the church and the stranglehold it had on science for so long.

People should be free to be themselves without having to worry about the brainwashed majority oppressing them and forcing them to conform.
