I've already told you a million times, if you had read your article in context, it said the administration will act like a defense department in terms of protecting regulated technologies from foreign applications. It did not say that NASA was a defense department, period, in all circumstances, only in that particular instance it would act defensively. Are you still going to pick at this point?



If what you said was true, the US government would go on a crusade to rid the world of scientists in the name of "national security", and since every boy and girl over 2nd grade can tell you dinosaurs existed before 4004 BCE, there would be a lot of problems.

You say you didn't take the quoted NASA code out of context, yet you repeatedly ignore that the whole thing was written for filing applications in foreign countries. Why are you telling me to open my eyes when you selectively "see" only what you want to see? I see it is impossible explaining truth to someone who prefers to deal in lies. The article you posted explains how the department of defense will handle matters of national security, not NASA; yet you continue to defy your own sources, coming to your own conclusions non-sequitor. You quote yourself in "national security" and pretend that answers it all.

Like Queen Isabella of Spain, who paid for the Columbus exploration in hopes of greater economic rewards, these forces are lining up to harvest the enormous benefits expected from exploitation of the outer reaches.

As Vision for 2020 states, "Due to the importance of commerce and its effects on national security, the US may evolve into the guardian of space commerce - similar to the historical example of navies protecting sea commerce."

And to make sure, the aerospace industry is taking no chances. Engaged in a campaign called the "Declaration of Space Leadership," a coalition of corporations has had their congressional allies introduce the plan as a US House resolution. Among other things, the "declaration" calls for funding of space "defensive" systems and NASA at levels that guarantee "American leadership in the exploration of space."

Quit denying it. NASA is indeed another dept. of Defense.

Definition of the term "Federal":
2. "Of or constituting a form of government in which sovereign power is divided between a central authority and a number of constituent political units."

This means that a central authority will be maintained at all times by the "Federal Government". Any government entity, creation, or affiliation will be governed by the Feds.

'So what?' you ask? That has nothing to do with the unfounded accusations that the moon landing was a fake. I take personal affront to those accusations because I have family members that worked tirelessly to ensure man's safe trip to and return from the moon.

IMO,the nuclear power needed for space weapons would have to come from unmanned stations, as we currently have no way to shield humans from the immense radioactivity. If you tried to shield them with conventional means, the immense weight would make for a considerable number of trips to haul it all up there. You have to realize that many folks in the military, industry and Congress simply talk out their asses. We are many years away from that technology. NASA does co-operate with the Dept. of Defense on many projects,and probably with all our intelligence gathering agencies as well. As with all governmental agencies, we probably never get a straight story from NASA, even though their info is supposed to be open to all. Though I believe that Beez may be correct on some of that, I still don't believe in ruins on the Moon. If they were there, we would have gone back much sooner, and so would have the Russians, who have photographed the moon extensively.
