MM i have never done a vert and why ?? cause of the yield reports through out the internet and other forums .87 or anything under GPW does not cut it for me ???? i needed yields in winter months to survive pay bills and put food on the table being truth full as well as for toys hahaha
IMO vert lighting is great supplemental lighting hell stay tuned in the ppk thread i am building my unit this week end room build to follow and will post pics and start a journal anxious to see how 3 lep plasma are going to do i will be hanging some vertical double stacked 400 mh so with all the light wave lengths should see some craziness this this grow but again i will be vegging for 12 - 15 weeks and doing real trees with same amount of wattage per sq foot as the sun puts down so one grow 2 plants and stupid yields i hope owe and 7 months later

I know everyone mentions Heath when it comes to vertical i wonder has anyone even come close to his numbers specially now with newer technology out there lighting etc and his grow must be over 7 years old there has to be you would think ???

This is the last thing I'll say on this MM, because I think everything else would just be repeated at this point, but what you said there about "2gpw is out there to be had" is probably the single biggest reason people stick fast to vert even when it isn't the best way to guarantee them the best grow in terms of work hours, veg time efficiency and yield of quality bud. I'm not saying everyone who does vert is struggling, far from it, let me just make that clear, some people are doing it because they find it easier... but I think a good few are sticking to it and not being open minded to the idea that it mightn't be the most efficient method for their strain or setup, and doing so solely because they're chasing the dream.

2gpw might be there to be had, but it is very very very unlikely you are going to achieve it. Of hundreds of individual grows, you can count on one hand how many people have hit 2gpw and have fingers and a thumb to spare.

That heath grow has got a lot of people chasing that figure, knowing that it can be done, knowing that it is possible.... but not applying the practical reality of vertical growing in a lot of situations and comparing it to what heath did. When you do that, it's chalk and cheese, not least because of the plant numbers involved and how the setup of sog walls mitigates arguably the biggest and most limiting factors in vertical growing. Keep that in mind brother, but good luck nonetheless. I hope you do it, and I'd love to see it.

Good luck in your own endeavors too brother. I look forward to seeing your grows mate, because doing 1.5s with 2 plants puts you in the top bracket of growers on this board. I'm not being facetious or sarcastic either mate, I genuinely mean that. I really am looking forward to seeing your grows because all the methods you're talking about sound like they'd be cool to see in full colour man. I'll give you a shout with recommendations for a camera. What's your budget?

Started out growing vert, have run some4x8 beds scrogged, and I will continue hanging bare bulb vert lights...i did see the potential in the beds though and will set them up again. I think it is a preference and if all things are dialed and you are an experienced grower you will yield accordingly, vert or Hori.

nothing over $500, but Id like to stay around $300 or less. Im not going to be a pro photographer but I don't want to buy something that sucks and I will regret later.

Also anybody got any thoughts on using tor or proxies, pm if u don't want to throw that info up in a thread.

Tor and proxies vpns ... What are u looking for in them. Ive used all 3 and still do for different reasons...

I just got a Sony RX100 II, it is a point and shoot that gives DLSR quality. I have not had a chance to shoot my grow with it but I will soon and I will let you know how it works.

what is best to use to be safe for posting pics, and talking grow. Also since I don't have them now do I have to start a new account and user name so the pics aren't attatched to this username if it could be easily compromised cause im not using tor or proxy or vpn yet. Any advice is appreciated, and recommendations on specific ones if u got ideas. pm if u don't want to put the proxy names or whatever up here to keep them private.

you need an anonymous proxy, i used to be able find them in Germany, but they get shut down pretty quick

sorry, i used to do this a long time ago. Nowadays it's pretty tough, as soon as the lists are posted they are shut down. you gotta find the 1337's to get a good active list. Gone are my h4ck days.

Tor and free proxies are good for posting pics ... you can have it so it changes your ip adress every so often.....

Vps/vpn you can pay for a good one ( in a different country ) youll have a static ip adress the the " good " ones do not keep logs or log traffic..... you can also store files and such there...


Tor can be slow at times depending on which node/server is being used.......

For now I recommend tor you u, instead of a proxy or proxy list....


You can also run all tor, proxies , and vps at the same time.. but that's not needed for what u want to do..

Swore I wouldn`t post in this thread due to it`s origin cuz I KNOW it was meant to stir shit and controversy , but I can close this 1 down with little to no arguments......

First off over the yrs , the answer is by far many , many , many folks that`ve attempted vertical growing with unrealistic expectations of increased yields hand over fist....and....

9-10 went back to flat grows cuz they`re easy....To create a sideways canopy that would resemble 4 dialed to the tits SOG tables with the plants just long enough to where no interior cleaning or loli-poppin `s needed , and truly produce those numbers that turn folks head ain`t easy to make happen.....but.....it happens....now....

To put things in perspective I`ll give yas my clone factory boy`s that`ve been sellin flats of rooted cuts to the dispensaries up and down the left coast since the mid -90`s......

20 KW over 10-4x8 flood tables with 5 tables on every 12 hrs , and 5 tables off that only draws 10KW per day .....now....256 3" rockwool cubes per 4x4 for a total of 4lbs EVERY run of 1/4 oz budsicles , but they run a clone factory and pick the best of the best for uniformity and growth structure to CREATE that canopy that yields run in and run out....

Ask these guys about runnin vert and get laughed at , but run the same numbers on 4 walls and reap accordingly as well.....plant numbers dictate yield.....period....you can exploit vert to the point of 4 times as many plants able to be produced as a flat garden once you get to the point of grower skill required to do so and yield accordingly , but....

It ain`t gonna be handed to yas....No stoner ever busted the gpw`s flat or vert , bet on it so it`s all in where yas wanna be....and....I`ll say this again for the last time....

I never went vertical for yield increases , it was what I started with from the get and as the yrs went by I got better at pumpin out consistent returns that were always above the 1 gpw level , but it was from hard work and skill development , plus learning from mistakes and not repeating em.....

Some folks get this shit , bunches don`t...Do the best yas can with whatchas got ta work with and be done with it....me ?....wouldn`t know howta hang a horizontal reflector , much less air cool it and run a flat grow , but .....

I do know howta do better with bare bulbs cuz it was how I was taught and knew nothing else , but most don`t and I understand that....regardless....

I know this....for me bare bulbs rule and all else drool cuz it`s what I know , but to each his own and good luck with whichever setup yas end up with.....

First of all i can guarantee you the cops are least worried about someone posting 1 - 2 - 10 - 20 plant grows it would cost to much to even pursue it Getting a judge to get a warrant people get caught by talking about there grow openly to friends , or whom ever.
Be smart when ordering MJ seeds
consider sound smell lights coming from your grow room
electrical usage can get you red flagged , happened to me they called me concerning the extra usage
my Reply was with furnace oil on the rise i added 5000 watts of electric floor heating for all rooms they said all good red flag taken away hahaha
Be smart with comings and goings from your place especially with growing materials
looks kinda funny buying 10 bags of soil in DEC don't yea think >>???? buy lots of supplies in spring or in fall when sales are on
Having guests when your growing is also a good way to get caught
trust me even tho you been around pot / family / pets new people can pick the scent rather quickly and all it takes is someone telling someone and before you know it shit hit the fan like a smoker going into a non smokers house and they mention dam bro u stink like cigerattes
last but not least that i can think of is Heat signature coming from your house as well as,,,,
Working in your garden / trimming then going to store right after even if you changed people can smell it think smart be silent be safe

Now if your worried about posting pics you can download utorrent, Hide my ip which will give you different ip's Globally
for pictures you can use picasa then down load export clean which will remove encrypted data

Or just don't worry about it like 99 percent of the members here
