Critical+ - Week 8. Flushing has begun. 1 more week to go!
Most of the 66 C+'s I have in there look like this one.
Im pretty happy with this 99 plant S.O.G.
The buds are turning into big, skunky, rocks!!! Loving it!!!
I believe I came close to, or achieved, a 1/2 ounce per plant.
These gave me abit of a scare twice this grow. LOL.
1st scare ~ I thought the crop got seeded by 1 lone runt Purps that got a ballsack that opened up alot and dumped pollin on the leaves under its flowers. I must have gotten it just in time cauze Ive only seen 1 seed so far and Ive studied each and every budsite in my garden.
2nd scare ~ I thought these flowers were gonna be loose and fluffy with 0 wieght to them. They dont have any sugerleaf trim at all. Its all flower. The last grow I had alot more leaf trim that turned lavender in color. Not this time. Its all bud. They are hardening up alot now the last 10 days so Im a happy guy. They exploded with growth the last 14 days and gave me the big, round, golfball size nuggets I was looking for. Well, maybe not golfball sized, but big marble/boulder sized nuggets.

Alones Purps ~(I took a male Purps and crossed it with a female Purps which brought out recessive traits, but they are all still dank as heaven) Its not purple, but still has that super strong, dank smell of the Purps. Afghani/Grape/Candy. I love this strain!!!!
This will always be my favorite strain of all time. BCBD Purps deserves all the awards it has won over the years. The dankest smell and taste ever! The flowers are thick and meaty. Very dense and heavy.

I clipped off a bud of the GDoggyP and the Purps.
I quick dried it in 2 days sitting on a plastic tupperware lid ontop of my warm cable box.
Last night I smoked the GDoggyP and it was some nice tasting Candy ChemD with a heavy, meaty smoke that made my cough hard. I like it alot. A week early, no flush, and quick dried with no cure and it was still tasty and got me cooked for a while off a half a pinner joint. Im excited to smoke it after a good flush and cure!!!

The Purps of course is always the best of the best. Even a green pheno. That taste and smell are so special its unbelievable. Anyone who doesnt order the BCBD Purps because of BCBD reputation for there horrible customer service is REALLY REALLY MISSING OUT!
I smoked a 1/2 a small joint this morning and Ive been super cooked for a whole hour now.
Very potent, nice yields, best taste and smell ever, 8-10 week finishing time, can be grown in or outdoors, has a fantastic effect with 0 burnout.
The perfect plant! I just love her to death!
This perticular pheno is gonna knock peoples socks off with her potency. Its super strong now a week early with no cure. WOW! I have a very high tolerance too.

Ive only fed this whole crop 1x throughout the entire grow.
Its only gotten Cal-Mag+ for 3 weeks of veg and the first 4 weeks of flower.
I then fed them very lightly with 1tsp of Tiger Bloom and 1tbl of Big Bloom per gln of water at week 5.
They have been getting just plain old tap water ph'd to 6.3 for the last 3 weeks.
After tasting the quick dried buds the crop really doesnt even need a long flush since I didnt feed them really. They got everything they needed from the FFOF soil and it tastes smooth with no harshness at all with no cure so its gonna be some really tasty smoke with a week long flush and a nice cure.

I would have done that this time if I had the veg light to do it.
This time I will have all the T-5's I need to veg 40 plants for 8 weeks between crops. I was doing it like this before until my 600w MH ballast burned out.
My friend bought me a 4' x 4 bulb T-5 that I still owe him another 1/2oz from this crop.
I really love the T-5 now, way better than the MH for veg.
Much tighter nodes.
ALSO...I really believe that seed runs produce bigger, better plants with better yields. 8 weeks veg from seed might yield better than clones with 8 weeks veg time....What do you think NEG?

That may be the case if you have very stable seeds that are producing similar plants. The last seed run I did had to much variation to be a high yielder.

Already did. The last grow and this grow. Just feeding them alittle bit burns the leaftips. You can see it in the pics.
FFOF soil will take most strains right to the end. All they may need is abit of N at week 4 or 5. Thats it. Mind you, this is the C+, Purps, and GDoggyP's. The GDogP's are nice and green still. Ive given them just water without Cl-Mg+ for awhile now and the soil is feeding them perfectly. No burned tips at all.

Some strains Ive grown need some nutrients. Ive done feed,water,feed,water through the whole cycle on some grows. I really dont see a difference.
A plant will let you know what it needs. Its not fertilizers that give you nice buds. Its giving the plant what it needs, No more, no less, just when it needs it. If the plant is healthy and green and the environment is right, then its all good. Fertz wont give you anymore yield.
Thats all environment and genetics.

If the leaves are healthy and green then they dont need anything more. Their getting exactly what they need. Fertilizers DO NOT make your buds any bigger or better. Thats a beginners myth. Most noobs make that mistake. They see nute burn and give them more nutes thinking the plant isnt getting what it needs.
Like I said .........Im extremely happy with the results and wouldnt have changed a thing, except for pots w/ catchtrays instead of bags.
Didnt you see how nice that C+ yielded above? That was from clone with 3 weeks veg under a 600w HPS lamp. Cant complain getting around a 1/2oz per plant (3/4's of them) from clone in a 99 plant S.O.G. Granted I would get about 20% more if it was vegged under a T-5 for 3 weeks. Cant wait for this next run.

That's awesome alone. I've used ffof with nutes and fried crops with ferts, but in my mind not usimg ferts meant I was going to somehow miss out on yield or potency....your grow makes me want to give ffof another go. I use bcuzz HP mix with modified Lucas...plain water and ffof is easier cheaper though.that crit + looks amazing

I willl have to step in here and say something about the FFOF. It will not support large plants through the entire flower period, unless you have a VERY light feeding strain.
The smaller SOG type of size plants Alone is running will be fine. My last run with 5 footers in FFOF needed additional nutes the whole way during flower.

Yes. Thank you for the further clarification NEG. My C+'s are very light feeders.
Dont forget about fresh FFOF soil when you t/p them too.
Going from a 1 or 2 gln pot into a 3 or 5 gln adds fresh soil to the mix which keeps the soil nice and nutrient fortified.

My mother plants of C+ were in 3gln pots for 6 months with no feeding at all. I just put them into 5gln buckets and the fresh soil will sustain them for another 6 months if need be. With bigger plants that eat alot you will def need to add nutrients. The strains I have, never liked to be fed. Not even the 1x I did feed them this grow. Its mostly strain dependant.

I've got a couple of C+ flowering now. They smell nice! In your opinion would C+ make a good breeder? I have a male from Chem '91 S1 seeds that will be used on them.

Nice grows...99 SOG! That's pretty cool.

Yo! I say that the Critical+ is good breeding material. Very stable, never seen a "bad" pheno of it. Never seen it herm. Always a crowd pleaser with the old school flavor and smell. Not the most potent strain ever, but actually not bad in the potency dept. Good flowering time and stretch. Go for it.

A little advice on the T-5 vegging program. I run some nice Thermatake brand PC fans attatched to my T-5 fixtures. I put them on a varible voltage supply so I can adjust the speeds. It really helps move heat away from the fixture quickly, so you can keep it literally 1/2 inch away from plants with no burn. I only get burn if it actually touches lamp.
Hope you rock the next go round. Not that you did not this tiime. Just always wish for better.

Critical+ - day 59. 3 different plants from same mother plant.
Ive only fed these 1x very lightly the entire grow at week 5. A couple of them still got burned leaf tips just from 1 half-dose feeding.
Im just gonna feed them Cal-Mag+ every other watering next grow.

GranDoggyPurps - day 59
Start of flush. GDoggyP can finish in 8 - 10 weeks. Its been 8 weeks and 4 days today. Since this will be my head smoke for the next 3 and a 1/2 months, Ill let it go till 9 1/2 weeks. Ill cull them on the 30th. That gives them a 7 day flush. Ive only fed them 1x the entire grow. Lightly. So its been getting just ph balanced water for a month already with no cal-mag+ or nothing. They are still dark green. They absolutely LOVED FFOF soil. These GranDoggyPurps grew perfectly. The best looking plants Ive grown since the last run of C+.
I would absolutely grow this again and look forward to popping all the beans I have of these feminized GDoggyP's after I check out the Cheesedog.

I was looking at Dinafems catalog pics of the Critical+ and mine are just like it. The exact same growth structure and internode spacing on there 2 foot tall whole plant pic. I think its pic#7.
Only difference is, that my buds are bigger than theres, and look better. (compare pics)
My guess is that if thats the pics they use on the site to sell the beans, then they would use there best one. Makes sense right?
So Im guessing I got one of the best phenos of C+. The good Lord has certainly blessed me with that 1 feminized bean that was gifted to me, from a friend of a friend, into my hands.

The Cheesedog youngster still hasnt shown sex. Im positive its a female but you never know until you know.
She reeks like crazy on the stem rub and I pray its a female.
I mean, really stinks. Thats a good sign.
Plus its got the most vigorous, perfect side branching Ive seen in a long time. Cant wait to flower her out!
