The Rep did not do the same to Trump as The Dems did to Bernie. The rep caved early on.. Trump scared the Rep into submission. He prob said shit like ill beat your ass if you don't support me. The rep shit their pants lol.

Fox news often mentioned that Trump couldn't beat Hillary, and they laughed at him for running. Multiple candidates dropped out trying to swing support towards other candidates which did not work. The rep only caved once they realized their tactics would not work, many were salty even after Trump was president, (looking at Lindsey Graham, John Kasick, and Ted Cruz, all who were running for president). So no your little deflection is false, I doubt you even payed attention to the Republican primaries. Bernie was not that strong of a candidate, or he would have prevailed despite the forces against him.

Also, I would argue that the nation as a whole leans more to the right than the left.
I would also argue that the dems will lose the house and probably the senate during the midterms if they don’t get their collective heads out of their collective asses and demonstrate they can actually govern. The dems in the house should pass the infrastructure bill and listen to Manchin and Sinema regarding the reconciliation package, which by the way, they need to pass the debt ceiling. Then they can move onto the really important stuff like descheduling/legalizing cannabis. They can always pass another reconciliation bill next year, unless a dem senator in a red state dies, then they’re screwed. They need to concentrate on hitting singles and doubles, and stop swinging for the fences. Otherwise, they’re going to hand over the country to the trumpublicans, and NOBODY WANTS THAT!
