What an ignorant post. I've known a lot of academics, including scientists. The ones I know without exception are people of very high integrity. They are in their chosen field because they have an interest in finding out and furthering understanding. I'm sure there are some unethical ones, but in the whole science deals with data. If you can back up what you say, your views will generally be accepted. That said, it can be slow due to its rigorous nature.
Science isn't perfect, but it is miles from what you portray it as.

It is absolutely by definition a pandemic, as the Spanish Flu was. It has a lower mortality rate than the Spanish Flu, but we will never what it might have been without the vaccination rates we have, or the lockdowns that occurred. For a large percentage of the population long Covid is an issue as well as increased heart problems. To make out that Covid issues are solely with mortality rates is simply wrong.

An Oxford-led study conducted recently established that over 50%, or 5 out of every 10 COVID-19 patients with a severe infection have a high chance of getting a heart attack days, or weeks after recovery. Many recover, while others succumb. In some of the cases, it has also been witnessed that those who had zero heart risks before contracting COVID-19 reported cardiac issues after recovering from the virus infection.
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...w/85890206.cms

Researchers have analysed data from the COVID Symptom Study app to discover who is most at risk of developing long Covid. They found that older people, women, and those who had five or more symptoms in the first week of becoming ill with Covid-19 were more likely to develop long Covid.

They found that long Covid affects around ten per cent of 18-49 year olds who get Covid-19, increasing to 22 per cent of people over 70.

Boys more at risk from Pfizer jab side-effect than Covid, suggests study

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...suggests-study

Healthy boys may be more likely to be admitted to hospital with a rare side-effect of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid vaccine that causes inflammation of the heart than with Covid itself, US researchers claim.

Their analysis of medical data suggests that boys aged 12 to 15, with no underlying medical conditions, are four to six times more likely to be diagnosed with vaccine-related myocarditis than ending up in hospital with Covid over a four-month period.

Most children who experienced the rare side-effect had symptoms within days of the second shot of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, though a similar side-effect is seen with the Moderna jab. About 86% of the boys affected required some hospital care, the authors said.

Saul Faust, professor of paediatric immunology and infectious diseases at the University of Southampton, who was not involved in the work, said the findings appeared to justify the cautious approach taken on teenage vaccines by the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccines and Immunisation.

The JCVI did not recommend vaccinating healthy 12 to 15-year-olds, but referred the matter to the UK’s chief medical officers who are expected to make a final decision next week. Children aged 12 to 15 who are particularly vulnerable to Covid, or who live with an at-risk person, are eligible for the shots.

In the latest study, which has yet to be peer reviewed, Dr Tracy Høeg at the University of California and colleagues analysed adverse reactions to Covid vaccines in US children aged 12 to 17 during the first six months of 2021. They estimate the rate of myocarditis after two shots of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine to be 162.2 cases per million for healthy boys aged 12 to 15 and 94 cases per million for healthy boys aged 16 to 17. The equivalent rates for girls were 13.4 and 13 cases per million, respectively. At current US infection rates, the risk of a healthy adolescent being taken to hospital with Covid in the next 120 days is about 44 per million, they said.

How reliable the data is and whether similar numbers could be seen in the UK if healthy 12 to 15-year-olds are vaccinated are unclear: vaccine reactions are recorded differently in the US and shots are given at longer time intervals in the UK. According to the UK medicines regulator, the rate of myocarditis after Covid vaccination is only six per million shots of Pfizer/BioNTech.

So far, UK children have not been admitted to hospital for Covid in large numbers and may not be at great risk of long Covid. While the recent Clock study found that up to 14% of children who caught Covid may still have symptoms 15 weeks later, levels of fatigue appear similar to those in children who have not caught the virus. This suggests that children may be spared some of the most debilitating problems seen in adult long Covid.

The overwhelming majority of myocarditis appears after the second dose of vaccine, so offering single shots could protect children while reducing their risk of the side effect even further.

“While myocarditis after vaccination is exceptionally rare, we may be able to change the first or second doses or combine vaccines differently to avoid the risk at all, once we understand the physiology better,” said Prof Faust. “On balance, there is no urgency to immunise children from a medical perspective, although if schools are unable to maintain education for the vast majority at all times, the overall balance could shift. If my two teenage children are offered the vaccine by the NHS my GP wife and I will have no hesitation in allowing them to receive the vaccine.”

Prof Adam Finn, a member of JCVI at the University of Bristol, said: “I stand by the JCVI advice, which is not to go ahead at this time with vaccinating healthy 12 to 15-year-olds on health outcome risk-benefit grounds given the current uncertainty – as there is a small but plausible risk that rare harms could turn out to outweigh modest benefits.”

The MHRA said it has been closely monitoring all available data on the potential risk of myocarditis and pericarditis following Covid-19 vaccination. “We have concluded that the Covid-19 vaccines made by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna may be linked with a small increase in the risk of these very rare conditions. The cases tended to be mild and the vast majority recovered with simple treatment and rest,” they added.

The spokesperson said the latest study had been considered by the government’s independent advisory body, the Covid-19 vaccines benefit risk expert working group, which found that the interpretation of the findings was limited by the fact that the study did not take into account differences in treatment practices when comparing hospitalisation rates between Covid-19 infections and myocarditis and pericarditis presenting post-vaccination, and there was no assessment of severity and duration of illness after admission.

“Safety monitoring strategies are in place for individuals under 18 years, including monitoring myocarditis and pericarditis occurring post-vaccination and the long term outcomes with these events. The MHRA continues to keep the safety of Covid-19 vaccines under close and continual review,” the spokesperson added.
This article was amended on 12 September 2021 to add feedback from the MHRA

you literally have to be blind and death and asleep not to notice how much information is being manipulated, hidden, ignored, censored or defamed unfairly during the last 18 months on this subject

The fear mongering over taking the vaccine is s till going on.

there is a difference between a controlled group of volunteers and forcing it on everyone to test it.

as for the polio vaccine, maybe read some bloody history on that beautiful event in your American history. look up the polio vaccines beginnings will you, then maybe tell me about it again.

LOL, That's because people back then were not dumbasses. They trusted there Dr's. Today people think they know better. It doesn't matter what there testing some will die some will have bad effects that is the nature of testing. For most, there were no issues. People today have no common sense of how shit works. They trust chad more than their dr. I do find it funny you think I've not read about it in depth.

The tainted polio vaccine that sickened and fatally paralyzed children in 1955

https://www.washingtonpost.com/histo...n-coronavirus/

By Michael E. Ruane

On Aug. 30, 1954, Bernice E. Eddy, a veteran scientist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md., was checking a batch of a new polio vaccine for safety.

Created by Jonas Salk, the vaccine was hailed as the miracle drug that would conquer the dreaded illness that killed and paralyzed children. Eddy’s job was to examine samples submitted by the companies planning to make it.

As she checked a sample from Cutter Laboratories in Berkeley, Calif., she noticed that the vaccine designed to protect against the disease had instead given polio to a test monkey. Rather than containing killed virus to create immunity, the sample from Cutter contained live, infectious virus.

Something was wrong. “There’s going to be a disaster,” she told a friend.

As scientists and politicians desperately search for medicines to slow the deadly coronavirus, and as President Trump touts a malaria drug as a remedy, a look back to the 1955 polio vaccine tragedy shows how hazardous such a search can be, especially under intense public pressure.

Despite Eddy’s warnings, an estimated 120,000 children that year were injected with the Cutter vaccine, according to Paul A. Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Roughly 40,000 got “abortive” polio, with fever, sore throat, headache, vomiting and muscle pain. Fifty-one were paralyzed, and five died, Offit wrote in his 2005 book, “The Cutter Incident: How America’s First Polio Vaccine Led to the Growing Vaccine Crisis.”

It was “one of the worst biological disasters in American history: a man-made polio epidemic,” Offit wrote.

In those days, polio, or infantile paralysis, was a terror.

“A national poll … found that polio was second only to the atomic bomb as the thing that Americans feared most,” Offit wrote.

“People weren’t sure how you got it,” he said in an interview last week. “Therefore, they were scared of everything. They didn’t want to buy a piece of fruit at the grocery store. It’s the same now. … Everybody’s walking around with gloves on, with masks on, scared to shake anybody’s hand.”

“I remember my mother … wouldn’t let us go to a public swimming pool,” said Offit, 69. We “all had to go into one of those little plastic pools in the back so that we wouldn’t be in a public place.”

The worst polio outbreak in U.S. history struck in 1952, the year after Offit was born. It infected 57,000 people, paralyzed 21,000 and killed 3,145. The next year there were 35,000 infections, and 38,000 the year after that.

Many survivors had to wear painful metal braces on their paralyzed legs or had to be placed in so-called iron lungs, which helped them breathe. There was no vaccine and few treatments. (One bogus approach was to spray acid into the noses of children to block the virus. All it did was ruin the sense of smell.)

Often polio victims were children, but the most famous affected American was President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who got polio and was paralyzed from the waist down in 1921 when he was 39.

In 1951, Jonas Salk of the University of Pittsburgh’s medical school received a grant from the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis to find a vaccine. During intense months of research, he took live polio virus and killed it with formaldehyde until it was not infectious but still provided virus-fighting antibodies.

When tests showed that the vaccine was safe, Salk told his wife, “I’ve got it,” Offit wrote.

Word of his success soon leaked out. Public pressure grew for the vaccine and for a large-scale trial.

In 1953, Salk tested it on himself, his wife and three children.

On April 26, 1954, Randy Kerr, a 6-year-old second-grader from Falls Church, Va., stood in the cafeteria of the Franklin Sherman Elementary School in McLean and became the first to be vaccinated in a massive field study.
Salk’s vaccine was given to 420,000 children. A placebo was given to 200,000. And 1.2 million were given nothing.

The study found that children who did not get the vaccine were three times more likely to be paralyzed with polio than those who received the vaccine.

A year later, on April 12, 1955, when officials announced the results at a news conference at the University of Michigan, there was jubilation. Reporters hollered: “It works! It works!” Offit wrote.

The news made front-page headlines across the country. “People wept,” Offit said. “There were parades in Jonas Salk’s honor. … That’s what contributed to the tragedy of Cutter more than anything else … the irony.”

That same day, licenses were hurriedly granted to several drug companies, including Cutter Laboratories, to make the vaccine.

But the officials granting the licenses were never told of Eddy’s findings, Offit wrote.

The year before, Eddy’s scrutiny of the Cutter vaccine had continued through the summer and fall.

It must have been a difficult time. She was 52. Her husband, Jerald Guy Wooley, 64, a fellow National Institutes of Health scientist, had died suddenly the previous April, leaving her with three daughters, two of them still at home in Bethesda, according to his obituary. Her mother moved in to help out.

Eddy was born in 1903 in Glen Dale, W.Va., a small town on the Ohio River, south of Wheeling, according to a 1985 biographical sketch by Elizabeth Moot O’Hern. Her father was a doctor.

She had started at NIH in 1937, had headed testing of vaccines for influenza, and in 1954 was asked to help test the Salk polio vaccine. The pressure was intense. “For weeks she and her staff worked around-the-clock, seven days a week,” O’Hern wrote.

“This was a product that had never been made before, and they were going to use it right away,” Eddy had said.

She began testing Cutter’s samples in August 1954 and continued through November, according to a later report in the Congressional Record. She found that three of the six samples paralyzed test monkeys.

“What do you think is wrong with these monkeys?” she asked a colleague, Offit recounted.

“They were given polio,” the colleague replied.

“No,” Eddy said. “They were given the … vaccine.”

Eddy’s discovery suggested that Cutter’s manufacturing process was flawed. Its vaccine should have contained only killed virus.

She reported her findings to William Workman, head of the NIH Laboratory of Biologics Control.

But amid the scientific and bureaucratic chaos, Workman never told the licensing committee, Offit wrote.

Starting on the evening of April 12, 1955, batches of the Salk vaccine made by five drug firms were shipped out in boxes marked “POLIO VACCINE: RUSH.”

About 165,000 doses of Cutter’s went out.

Within weeks, reports of mysterious polio infections started coming in.

On April 27, 7-year-old Susan Pierce, of Pocatello, Idaho, died of polio days after getting the Cutter vaccine. She had been placed in an iron lung just before she died. Her brother Kenneth had been vaccinated at the same time, but he was okay.

Other cases followed.

Alton Ochsner, a professor of surgery at Tulane Medical School and founder of the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, gave the vaccine to his grandson Eugene Davis, Offit wrote. The child died May 4.

Not only did some people injected with the tainted vaccine get sick, but some who got the vaccine went on to infect family members and neighbors.

On June 5, 1955, 33-year-old Annabelle Nelson of Montpelier, Idaho, died of polio after her two children had been given the vaccine in April, according to news reports at the time.

The government ordered the Cutter vaccine withdrawn on April 27. But damage had been done.

“By April 30, within forty-eight hours of the recall,” Offit wrote. “Cutter’s vaccine had paralyzed or killed twenty-five children: fourteen in California, seven in Idaho, two in Washington, one in Illinois, and one in Colorado.”

On May 6, all polio vaccinations were postponed. They were resumed on May 15 after the government had rechecked the vaccines for safety. But people were still frightened.

Offit recalled his mother asking their doctor: “What’s the story? Should we be getting this vaccine or not?"

Eventually, he was vaccinated when he was about 6 years old.

Years later, in a suit brought against Cutter, the firm was found not negligent in making its vaccine because it had done its best making a new drug that was complicated to produce.

But it was found financially liable for the calamity it had caused during that spring of 1955.

The jury foreman said: “Cutter Laboratories [brought] to market a … vaccine which when given to plaintiffs caused them to come down with polio.”

Magda Jean-Louis contributed to this report.

As I said all vaccines are tested the same way. It's the people that have lost their intelligence figuring out the most basic societal stuff. All vaccine's can/do kill/harm people. If everyone had gotten vaccinated the death toll would be far less.

oh, you mean the ones who believe in "conspiracy theories"

i must have been in the batch that got the polio vaccine after the restart. i hit 1st grade in sept 1954, so it would have been 1955 that i got the shot - i made the town paper as the first to get the shot - picture and everything! i was expecting it to really hurt, made a big "OUCH" face and practically didn't feel a thing.

I don't know how many times I have to say it before you get it. They used the same procedure testing the covid vaccine on people !!! as they did with any others. It's obvious why there was a need to do this fast. All those deaths could have been prevented if they got vaccinated. The only reason they didn't is because of the chads telling them it's all fake and the vaccine is the problem. . I'll trust my Dr more than any other thinking they know better. .

this sounds highly implausible despite being repeated. its not possible to do the same process in 2 months as in 2 years. but you should trust your doc for sure. can you ask him why it was given emergency use authorization if it was tested just like every other vaccine ? anyone following events knows this thing was issued under emergency use right?

also ask your doctor about the study saying it loses efficacy from the 94% down to 20% inside a couple of months

not a doctor, but probably the most susceptible died in the first wave of hospital induced death - from ventilators and no early treatment. just my guess.

If you prefer to have zero protection that is not your choice anymore lol. Do I agree with them mandating vaccines no but Im, not a dumbass thinking it would harm me more than help me. People will find excuses not get it, just like your posts point out lol. Those too paranoid to get vaccinated have other issues.

Some data are still missing.A Dutch vaccinologist/immunologist asked the Dutch minister of Health where the data is that those mRNA jabs don't effect the reproductive system as said by a doctor in a new Dutch COVID vax promotion movie for the youth and adolescents. He couldn't find any data.
Before the Japanese government started the Covid jab program, they asked Pfizer for more safety data and what Pfizer supplied showed in the research they did with rats that after the injection, the mRNA did not stay in the injection area, but goes to other places too the ovaries include, what that will do is still a mystery.

you may have said it, that don't make it so!

first this isn't a vaccine, nor has it been produced and/or tested the same as any other vaccine. you're lost.

...and if people hadn't been vaccinated (which they haven't since this isn't a vaccine) there wouldn't be such cowardly coveting of this insult to intelligence parading as panacea and the resulting deaths FROM this purported vaccine.

ICU Doctor Describes Nightmarish COVID-19 Vaccine Injuries In Letters To FDA, CDC, Lawyer Says Agencies Haven’t Replied

"I can no longer silently accept the serious harm being caused by the Covid-19 vaccines," wrote Dr. Patricia Lee, MD.

Dr. Patricia Lee, M.D., an ICU doctor based in California, issued a shocking letter to the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention claiming she has observed more vaccine injuries from the controversial COVID-19 vaccines than she has in the last 20 years working as a doctor.

In the letter, she describes observing “entirely healthy individuals suffering serious, often fatal, injuries,” her attorneys noted in a follow-up email. These include “transverse myelitis, resulting in quadriplegia, pneumocystis pneumonia, multi-system organ failure, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, post partum hemorrhagic shock and septic shock, and disseminated CMV and CMV viremia.”

Dr. Patricia Lee, MD, a California-based ICU doctor issued a letter to both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) on September 28 in which she explains observing more vaccine-related injuries than she ever had throughout the last 20 years working in the medical arena.

In the letter, Dr. Lee points out that while she is “fully vaccinated for Covid-19,” her “personal experience this year treating patients in a busy ICU does not comport with claims made by federal health authorities regarding the safety of Covid-19 vaccines.” (READ MORE: Two Children ‘Accidentally’ Given COVID-19 Vaccines At Walgreens, BOTH Now Suffering From ‘Heart Issues’ – Lawyer)
Dr. Lee is a licensed physician in California and obtained her medical degree from the University of Southern California. She received post-graduate training at Georgetown University and “Harvard-affiliated hospitals,” and has been a doctor “for more than 20 years.” However, she notes that in all her medical experience, she has “never witnessed so many vaccine-related injuries until this year.”

She noted in her letter that she feels “pained in admitting this,” but she was “compelled by conscience to state the facts” as she observed them while working in the ICU.
She then lists a handful of “illustrative examples of Covid-19 vaccine related injuries I have observed firsthand.” She noted that “it is my clinical judgment that each of these injuries were caused by the Covid-19 vaccine, because there was no other plausible explanation for these injuries other than the fact that the patients had recently been vaccinated.”

The vaccine reactions listed in her letter depict healthy individuals suffering serious and fatal injuries including transverse myelitis, resulting in quadriplegia, pneumocystis pneumonia, multi-system organ failure, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, post partum hemorrhagic shock and septic chock, and disseminated CMV and CMV viremia. Lee noted these in an October 6 follow-up letter issued by her attorneys to the same agencies.

Dr. Lee noted that “approximately half of the patients detailed” in her letter have since died. “Those who survived are struggling with long-term sequelae and a diminished quality of life,” she wrote.
“It appears statistically improbable that any one physician should witness this many Covid-19 vaccine injuries if the federal health authority claims regarding Covid-19 safety were accurate.” (READ MORE: VIDEO: Catholic Nun Says COVID-19 Vaccines Are Globalist Plot For Population Control, Pope Francis Their ‘Spiritual Leader’)

“I have spoken with colleagues who have also had similar experiences in treating patients.” She added that her colleagues are reluctant to speak out about similar experiences in fear of fueling “vaccine hesitancy” and facing potential punishment.
download-1-473x600.png

“I can no longer silently accept the serious harm being caused by the Covid-19 vaccines,” Dr. Lee concluded. “It is my sincere hope that the reaction to this letter will not be to focus on me, but rather to focus on addressing the serious safety issues with these products that, without doubt, you have either missed or are choosing to ignore.”
Since the issuing of the original letter, her attorneys have sent another letter to the CDC and FDA saying that the agencies’ “failure to respond is highly concerning,” adding that they are seeking a response so they can “arrange a discussion and information gathering session between Dr. Lee and the appropriate representatives at the CDC and FDA.”

hope that helps, LOL
