McConnells self righteous anger is almost funny. You think maybe he should have learned to actually consult the other party before slamming them with a bill they cannot support. Of course the republican leadership knew aboit this in January but hey we get fake outrage now.Whatever.

Well, the hospitals in Chile are preparing for a lot of death it seems. Today we have 746 confirmed cases. Yesterday we had 632, and a week prior, just 75. The majority are in the Santiago Metropolitan Region.

Here is an image of the purchases being made. For those that don't read/speak spanish, bolsas means bags, and the highlighted part, Mortuorias means mortuary. Body bags, as commonly referred to.

I listened to NY gov Andrew Cuomo's Monday press conference.

Compared to Trump ... well, no comparison.

Positively Presidential.

Pelosi doesn't let a crisis go to waste and wants to slip in some changes to the way mail-in votes are treated. Votes and voting are done by the state you evil creature, not your ugly azz.

New rules in Holland since tonight

Sharp new measures against corona in Holland since tonight: these are the rules now

The government is coming up with a solid package of new measures to combat the corona virus. People who break the rules can get a hefty fine. We list the measures for you.

An overview of the new measures:

All events are prohibited until June 1: All event gatherings, regardless of size, are prohibited until June 1. There is no longer a lower limit. Exceptions apply to funerals and church weddings.
Mayors may close locations: Mayors may close specific locations (beaches, parks) through an emergency ordinance. They may also designate areas where group formation is prohibited. Those areas (which can also be a whole city) are maintained if you are together with 3 or more people and do not keep a distance of 1.5 meters. This does not apply to families with children or persons from the same household.
Fines : Don't keep a distance of 1.5 meters? Then that can lead to a fine of up to 400 euros.

Fever? The home quarantine measure is being tightened. If a family member has a fever, the whole family must stay at home.
Tighter measures against corona: you should know this

Visit? In-house visits are still permitted. But you cannot invite more than three people. And: keep a distance of 1.5 meters at home.
Schools and bars will be closed until April 6 in any case: The schools and catering will remain closed until April 6. After that, the Cabinet will further examine whether the schools, but also restaurants and catering, will remain closed for longer.

Stay at home as much as possible: It is also urgent advice, stay at home and work as much as possible from home. If you have complaints, you should stay indoors anyway.
Do your shopping alone : Are you going to do your shopping? Then do it as much as possible on your own and not with the whole family.

Playing outside: Children can still play together outside. But parents should stay indoors as much as possible.
Hairdressers and beauticians: For them and other persons in so-called contact professions in the field of external care, they are not allowed to practice their profession until April 6. Physiotherapists must work as much as possible using video bubbles.
Sports clubs and saunas : closed until April 6.

Banner Health in Arizona says a man has died and a woman is seriously ill after taking chloroquine phosphate, in the form of fish tank cleaner, in an attempt to self-medicate against coronavirus. The pharmaceutical drug version has not been approved to treat coronavirus.

Open it all back up so we can be done with all this political bullshit. Let the chips fall where they may. 200,000 people a month die in this country, time for some perspective.

I was starting to think the Coronavirus fear-mongering was actually really something to worry about. Then this move by Pelosi happened, and it all became clear again. COVID-19 is a hoax.

We face losing more people to:

Suicide
Massive depression
Mental illness, especially new mental illness triggered by the stress of the bleak situation.
Drug & alcohol abuse
Heart disease/heart attacks
Stroke
Mass violence
Poor decisions made due to a hopeless future

No, it is a bank bailout via debt on America. The debt bubble has bust, derivitives are blowing up, oil being down is a great catylist too, and America is having a critical election.

They have us divided, are dangling a very shiney thing at the poor people who couldn't afford to save, and are getting ready to deeply screw us. The politicians, especially the corrupt dems, want one last guzzle of grift first, then the banks get bailed out. The people who are supposed to be representing us are not answering their phones. They don't care, cause this is it.

This is not about the damn WuFlu, that is a very cleaver way to stop us from protesting.

Mail in vote. Fuckin dems never quit. Never mind the Mexico postmark, which to me is looking better every day.

I was trying to figure out how big of a wet dream Covid19 is for the "health" care industry.

One patient provided the data point, $32K for 3 days in the hospital. ICU costs more.

# of patients that recover approx. = number that die - in some cases.

expecting the US to have about 8 million die. (200 million infected, 4% fatality rate - from covid19info.live )

if that correlates to 16 million hospitalized (which is more hospital beds than the US has.)

924,107
total hospital beds in the US.

in the example, 10 days in the hospital @ $10K per day = $100K per patient.

16 million hospitalized = 16 x 10^ 6 x 100 x 10^3 = 1600 Billion = $1.6 Trillion.

That's about 7% of GNP (which is $22 Trillion)

The "health" care industry is going to strip mine a record amount of middle class life savings this year.

950,000 Americans filed for bankruptcy for medical reasons, in 2019.

Probably going to be worse this year,
and any resulting Bump to GNP is not a happy story.
