Very sorry I missed this.

I tried to send you a PM, but you're not set up to receive them.

Don't know how your specific symptoms compare to Microbeman's, but he had posted at one time, the regimen he took to whip what he had perceived to have begun with a lower viral load, and had been confirmed to be C-19 + at their local clinic.

I would post his list here, with his permission. He included a steroid, antibiotic, aspirin, and more. Perhaps 5-6 items.

Take care of yourself as best you can. Hopeful thoughts re. your recovery.:ying:

An article today from Medscape, originating with WebMD, re. C-19 causing the body to "attack itself". I was puzzled by this, as I recall MONTHS ago, reading about the function of the auto-immune system going loopy during illness with C-19 for some, and lending itself to the pneumonia, and even the breakdown of lung tissues.

So again, this didn't seem like 'news' to me, but it arrived today as news, none the less. Maybe I missed something.

COVID-19 Virus May Prompt Body to Attack Itself

An international team of researchers studying COVID-19 has made a startling and pivotal discovery: The virus appears to cause the body to make weapons to attack its own tissues.

The finding could unlock a number of COVID's clinical mysteries. They include the puzzling collection of symptoms that can come with the infection; the persistence of symptoms in some people for months after they clear the virus, a phenomenon dubbed long COVID; and why some children and adults have a serious inflammatory syndrome, called MIS-C or MIS-A, after their infections.

"It suggests that the virus might be directly causing autoimmunity, which would be fascinating," says lead study author Paul Utz, MD, who studies immunology and autoimmunity at Stanford University in Stanford, CA.

The study also opens the question of whether other viruses might also break the body's tolerance to itself, setting people up for autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus later in life.

Utz says he and his team are next going to study flu patients to see if that virus might also cause this phenomenon.

"My prediction is that it isn't going to be specific just to SARS-CoV-2. I'm willing to bet that we will find this with other respiratory viruses," he says.

The study comes on the heels of a handful of smaller, detailed investigations that have come to similar conclusions.

Don't neglect your need for a good night's sleep, and use edibles to make that possible if needed. I tend to lay awake nights worrying when there is uncertainty troubling my mind, so forgive my second reminder about the importance of restful sleep to fortify your being.

If you develop a cough, dose with a suitably strong antibiotic. Had a cough a few weeks ago, where it felt like I couldn't expel the gunk that restricted my breathing, but that all subsided with antibiotics. Never did go for a test, so there is no telling if that was my brush with the virus.

Steady as she goes, and this anxious time will be in your rearview mirror before long. You'll have quite the story to tell your future grandkids, years after all this has blown over. We're rootin' for ya.
