There's still much to learn about COVID, the duration of immunity of those exposed or had complications plus numerous other factors. NO ONE knows about a vaccine's effect post COVID regarding "not be[ing] a good end result". In other countries, Phase I and Phase II have had mixed results, hence no vaccine.
Almost 1000 new infections in Holland the last week.One region nearby Rotterdam could get a new lockdown.More than 12 people were infected in a bar.

We had a bit of an outbreak in Australia too, a couple of specific regions, but still only ~2000 cases over the last week.
People started to get a little casual in Melbourne.... nothing in my region of the country though.
It's not super lethal (until it is for some) but it spreads like wildfire.
Don't be reckless, peoples.... use this as a training drill in case we have something just as contagious but as lethal as something like Ebola.

Very interesting webcast with Dr. John Campbell this morning.
it is looking like Covid19 has the ability to Shut Down a cell's interferon response.
That is related to how one cell will warn & protect neighboring cells about & from a virus infection.
Because the human body relies on that interferon response to heal from the common Flu, it looks like the combination of Flu & Covid19 will be a real problem.
Flu with a suppressed interferon response, is not like any flu most of us have ever seen.
Covid19 really is an Immune Suppression disease, like HIV.

They said it was recombined with HIV at the start but that was buried fast.
I wonder how that plays in with getting a flu shot?

Hi DS! I'm in VIC but fortunately live in the country so not completely locked down yet. Melbourne is so I can't go and visit my family or leave the state but I have it better than most. That might change soon though. We might go into stage 4 lock down state wide if it gets worse over the next few days. That will suck. Don't have to wear masks here yet but they are compulsory in Melbourne.
