Illegal search and seizure...they always practice on minorities then move to the general population. Thats where we are now. This was supposed to be border patrol too...in portland?

that means Habeas Corpus has been suspended - in Portland.

pretty much the definition of Martial Law.

the only way they could find to deal with a bunch of teen-age protestors (who have lighters.)

"They came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up."

Salute.

Corona patient Elia (18) had to have the right leg amputated, with crowdfunding for expensive prosthesis she hopes to be able to baskets again

Eighteen-year-old corona patient Elia from Huy (province of Liège) had been floating between life and death for weeks and had to have her right lower leg amputated. Her friends created a crowdfunding for an expensive, modified leg prosthesis. The aim is to raise enough money so that Elia can devote herself again to her great passion: basketball, the sport she has been practicing since she was four.

Less than a week after the start of the March 13 lockdown, Elia showed severe corona symptoms, resulting in hospitalization. Doctors quickly recognize that the young woman has serious heart problems from Covid-19. She is in mortal danger. Once transferred to the larger Citadelle hospital in Liège, she is placed on a heart-lung machine (ECMO - extracorporeal membrane oxygenation). ECMO is an alternative to artificial respiration. The machine draws blood from the body, adds oxygen to it and pumps it back. This is not without danger, because the risk of bleeding increases. Elijah thus remains in a deep coma for thirteen days.

Her health improves somewhat, but with Elia - still in a coma - complications arise. A blood clot on the right toes is troubling her. To increase her chances of life, doctors are forced to amputate part of her right foot. The young woman is kept in an artificial coma for a longer period of time.

Once awakened, Elijah thinks it is March 19, a day after her admission. “It was April 15 then. I did not understand. There were four corona deaths in Belgium when I ended up in the hospital, when I woke up there were more than 4,000 deaths, "she told RTBF. The schoolgirl spent a total of 38 days in intensive care.

It is not the end of her agony. The previous amputation was not sufficient. A few days after her awakening, Elijah receives the terrible news that the rest of her right leg must also be amputated to just below the knee.

Leg prosthesis of 16,000 euros
The brave girl does not throw in the towel. She pulls up on the idea that basketball can play, with an adapted prosthetic leg. Health insurance cannot intervene for such a high-quality prosthesis of 16,000 euros. They only support the current basic model, with which the girl has been walking around for some time.

Her Union Huy Basket teammates don't abandon 'Pepito' - her nickname. They also support a crowdfunding that Elia's friend Zakaria has set up. The intention is to raise 50,000 euros. Not only for the prosthetic leg, but also for adjustments to the parental home in the village of Huccorgne (Wanze). After five days, more than 37,000 euros has already been collected.

Elia is busy with her rehabilitation and is preparing for a new challenge. On Saturday, July 25, she will throw a series of free throws on the basketball court in her village that people can sponsor.

sadly enough, BP has jurisdiction anywhere within 250 miles (i think) of ANY border/coastline AND that same distance of ANY airport where a plane capable of flight from another nation could land. at least, that is how the BP officer at the gas station explained it to me here in east Tennessee...he COULD have been lying, i mean, he WAS a Fed.:tiphat:

A lot of these people here believe that their ancestors were apes

That's not what evolutionists believe. The belief is that modern apes and humans share a common ancestor. That ancestor quite likely was similar to both while also having major differences. If you actually had studied evolution to any serious level you would know this. Instead, you mock ideas you've never bothered to understand in the first place.

Having had it doesn't mean it ever went away. I don't think there's any stopping it in the military now. Its a big problem
