Hi buddy from the pics its hard to tell but the stretch doesn't look to big from vegging, how much do you reckon it stretched?

Hardly any stretch, maybe 3-4 inches. Very large main colas, the buds are a little airy and leafy, will need a decent cure. I broke a small bud off to try in a few days.smells very sweet.!!

Congrats Holeshot on your Congo harvest :)

You did a great job with her and she rewarded you with very nice colas. :huggg: They are a bit leafy (more hashplant traits in flowering), but very resinous, and huge in size.

I'm glad you are happy with the aromas and effect of the outcome.
Hope her best atributes are shining with the curing!

Very lucky to be growing Congo right now from Ace. Just ordered the seeds a few months ago, so I think this is the latest stock of Congo from them.

24 standard Congo seeds
24/24 germinated, only 1 not popping above the surface
13 females: and to the best of my knowledge...
6 Congo #3, tall phenos, huge vigour
3 Banghi congo, bushy phenos, dark leaf
4 pck, short phenos

Males were all tall and/or bushy, didn't get any short pck males from the looks of it.

All plants are similar in smell despite different growth.
Strong but delicate berry smells from all of them with different after tones.
The bushy girls are berry and dirty smelling, one smelling and looking like chemdawg.
The tall ones are berry and sweet, with a rindy green vegetative spicy smell, my favorite by far, and have the most abnormal foxtails. Then there are shorter Congo 3 type females with notable kush smells, very early maturing plants.
Short pck plants are light delicate berry smells so far. One girl is very dark purple of these.
Thick, shiny, wet resin on the buds of every female.

Every single plant has pink/red/purple in abundance. Not always the dominant color of the buds but it's very easy to see all over the plants, especially on the lowers furthest away from the light. Only 6 wks into bloom so they haven't even been given any colds nights yet, never below 68F.

I was looking for something really different and I got it. The aroma of these is very different than most plants that go around(the US). It's not that ultra sweet lathering taste, and it's not a dirty smelling kush hybrid. Instead it's very refreshing and delicate, but complex and full flavored for sure.

Still few wks left in bloom for these, will report after harvest.

Grown organically.

Thanks very much Ace!

I need some urgent help.
I've got a Congo female in a 50L pot. She had droopy leaves for quite some time in the smaller pot then i transplanted her in a bigger pot and she got her act together. A couple of days ago droopy leaves apeared again. There are also brown spots on the leaves, you can see them on the upper and the lower side.
She's growing in rich soil with batguano added. That's all.
Anyone has a clue what's going on?
I hope i can fix her :/

i wonder if her issue was being root-bound?
here are 2 congo x kali chinas, both started at the same time.
the rootbound one (she's sloooowly coming out of it) had a difficult
time accessing nutes and water, due to being "caged in" by her
tight basket of roots- the flower pot could be fully watered, but
the leaves would still look wilted.
she's the only one not ready for flowering... all others look pretty
much like the healthy one below, and are past their root-bound issues.
btw, none of the congo x kali chinas went thru an early wide leaf phase.

Finished my Congo run about 10 days ago. All the females had similar smells when done, extremely floral traits. The shorter pck dom plants had some darker smells also, with the purple one getting chocolate smells. Banghi(short sativa) dom plants had a chemdawg smell that faded to a deep hash aroma and had no chem smell at the end. Congo#3 dom plants had very high pitched floral smells, one with a hashy chocolate spicy flavor.

Resin was very thick on all plants, no exception. Colors were even more impressive. About 10 of the 12 turned pure purple/red, not the leaves, calyxes only. Most the leaves stayed green, only the flowers changed colors for me. I mean every single flower was pure purple/red on the colorful ones, not just some of them.

Most of the plants are crystal clear in effect w/ med-high potency. Almost no body effect on the really tall Congo#3 females, really makes a great pick-me-up in the morning. Wakes you right up, even when you're tired. The pck dom females are more relaxing in effect, some weak, some strong.

Oh and the yield blew away my expectations. They don't get the largest flowers, but they can be very dense and weigh out great.

What a pleasure to grow. Thank you!

Man I had some real nice Ace Congo in 2010 that smelled like carrots and citrus. I just love that profile! I wish I bought more of it when I had the chance.
