My 3 congo phenos finished in 9 weeks to the day under 11D/13N. There's a PCK purple pheno, a green thicker pheno which looks like green PCK mixed with a bit of the Bangi, and one which is completely African sativa looking - very tall and spindly. I figure the tall stretchy one is the Congo #3 influence. The PCK variants smell like pink flowers with a fruity hint of ..strawberry? By contrast, the sativa African pheno has very earthy, dirt / sandalwood African sativa-ish smells.

Thanks for the detailed description of the different Congo phenos. I'm glad you found a bit of variability to have the chance to experience its different expressions. My favourite one for the effect are the more african sativa dominant, for the taste: the more purple PCK. All the phenos are interesting. Enjoy!

Hey Dubi,

We're finding the same, the taste and smell of the PCK side is more fruity and the high is more indica-ish sedated than the african side which is more energetic. All three phenos are pretty clear, well focused and positive, but the PCK variants (especially the purple pheno) drift from clear/focused to mellow/relaxed as the high progresses. I like your description of Congo as a "premium" sativa hybrid high - I feel the same way about it.

My previous congo was male, I save one cut of them, ithink it may be interesting to some future junction

Good luck with yours Phrenos, the Congo standard version is not heavily PCK influenced, hopefully you can find the congolese sativa phenos you are looking for!

Looks great this Congo but i like but like much green jejejeje
I have a regular package for 2012, I put that last seed had,now have to wait a plant with Congolese phenotype
The next turn is for some Zamaldelica 2012 too.

I already replied you to the same question in another thread, so i just quote my self.

Congo Standard is out of stock at the moment and won't be back until second half of this year or 2016. We still have a bit of Congo fem if you are interested, but won't last much.

Congo Std was not included in the ACE Mix, but we included plenty of Bangi Haze seeds in previous ACE Mix Std releases (from 2011 to 2014).

I gotta say it... I've tried many strains, both from ACE and other breeders, but ACE's Congo has recently blown me away. I'm thinking it's the first strain/plant that has really said "keep me forever". And I sure do want to. Social, mood-elevating, mentally stimulating, and it even helps with pain (which I didn't expect). It does just about everything I want it to do. Give this one a try if you can.

Looks fine B. whats the story behind I'll have to pick just one. Others for outdoor and one for greenhouse? I would choose one with most sativish look, I found out most congos grow quite small, so maybe sativa pheno is one to look for.

Exactly konopenko i'll keep just one Congo and one Mextiza in my greenhouse...hope i'll get some good results i'm also leaning strongly in the favour of sativa expressions. I just hope that doesn't bring the 12 week flowering with it. Could have problems with that

Ofcourse...but it all depends on Mextiza basically. I hope i'll get a nice male (and a female ofcourse)
Then i hope i'll be able to complete the whole process. I don't know where to put the male yet. Don't want to have seeds everywhere...have to pollinate just a couple of branches anyway i hope i'll end up with Mextiza x Mextiza, Congo x Mextiza and Miss French x Mextiza
