Colorado Growers Thread

Well said. I think the weight for the small grower classification should be 27g so that A64 personal growers like me can be street legal transporting to the event. Regardless of the situation, I won't leave the house w/ more than that. It's a chance I don't need to take. I'll admit to being tempted while delivering Christmas presents.

It would get weird if I had to move. Unless the house burns down, that won't happen, and if it did I probably wouldn't have a stash anyway.

I thought the limit was 2oz or 56grams??? Where did I screw that up at? And until I read this I hadn't given it one second of thought...now I am.
But then again I am still keeping my medical card so that I can keep 24 plants. I only finished 16 plants this Fall and still found myself sweating my count by about 5-6 during cloning. But I did get 8 different crosses with my Grape Ape male...I still have a 20ml test tube filled with pollen in the freezer, that boy kept pushing nanners for about 16 weeks...until I needed the tent and had to kill him. People thought I was collecting keef instead of pollen. The seeds will be popping right after Christmas, Can't wait to see what is hidden in there.

Found this vid. on the last event...it will give you a better idea of what you get for a hundred dollar bill. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrqrpQ6mccM

I might get a small say in future runs through them because I know the bud tender...But it only gets to be what he decides to send up the ranks. If enough people start saying the same thing I think they will respond favorably.

Congress quietly ends federal government's ban on medical marijuana

:yeahthats
the least they could do,
feds admit they have no more authority over a jurisdiction than local authorities.... not a coincidence this comes on the heels of cali (biggest us cannabis grow state) regulating their game after all these years.

But will it allow/force the banks to deal with all of the Medical companies?
No, i don't believe so.

The least they could do. We'll just have to see how it plays out, I remember the last time they passed a provision to stop the Feds from going after medical in legal medical states. They need to atleast reschedule it.

re-scheduling was logical YEARS ago, now it is overdue...
imo feds avoidance of this issue borders or criminal negligence.

It's a hate crime, is what it comes down to. When it was Alcohol, it was a different story, they got off their fat asses and did something because they ALL wanted it legal again.

since you brought up alcohol prohibition, i think it begs to be noted that simple possession on alcohol was not criminalized under prohibition...
in my eyes that is the main difference between the prohibitions of alcohol and cannabis...
the simple possession of cannabis is criminalized, and that is totally fucked. people would have never stood for that, they barely stood for prohibition of alcohol at all.

I thought that even possession of alcohol was a crime during prohibition.

from my understanding enforcement focused primarilly on producers & distillers(moonshiners), importers, speakeasy owners... people making a business of it.
iirc i read this in "The Marijuana Conviction" book that was distributed in Colorado by the drug policy alliance leading up to the passage of a64

The limit for med card holders is 2 oz. It's 1 oz for the rest of us.

It's a long story, but I hadn't used cannabis for 25 years when A64 passed. I never was part of the MMJ scene. The total anonymity of A64 compliance was very appealing so I set out in that direction. In that, I have no games to play & no legal liabilities, no worries. If the wife & I consumed all that I can harvest 6 plants at a time I'd be baked too stupid to accomplish the task. Stoned to the bone. Ossified. Hammered into the couch.

We've gardened for 20 years & I was doing half assed decently w/ growing indoors, problems sometimes, when Eighths-n-Aces befriended me, taught me about blumats, helped prepare my first batch of his soil mix, helped me better understand soil & the whole microherd concept if not very well.

So I tried it. I mean, holy shit. What a difference. Suddenly, the girls love me, act like they know I won the lottery. Actually, I kinda did.

Now that I'm using CDM lighting, they treat me like the most wonderful guy in the world.

If I set up a separate veg chamber & grew fems from seed I think I could readily produce over 5 lbs/ year from short flowering strains while never having more than 12 plants w/ 6 in flower.

Enjoying the process, it's easy to get carried away. I'll be going in the other direction next year w/ longer flowering strains & fewer plants. I may shut down entirely next summer when electrical rates are highest.

I'm a bit bemused when I think about the baggage I carried with me from long ago, the paranoia & the insecurities, particularly stash insecurity. I'm sure you remember the inexplicable droughts of long ago, times when there simply wasn't any to be had at any price. Now I can legally grow more than I care to consume & there are at least 3 retail shops within easy walking distance. Sometimes things change for the better.

Everybody should have it so good.

Ah yes...to quote the inferious Fabulous Freak Brothers " Tis Better to have weed in times of no money than to have money in times of no weed". (I hope I got that right...I took from memory not a search)

Oh Yeah, I could really use some advice on soil. But I need to stay with-in my greenhouses' limits.

In some jurisdictions, not at the federal level. Homemade wine remained legal throughout prohibition, oddly enough. There were lots of vineyards in Pueblo county where I grew up, even into the 60's.

OTOH, my great uncle did federal time for selling brewer's yeast. Go figure.

Think I might bail on getting my flower judged and just go to Frost Bowl to look around and network hopefully. I don't have a red card, but I am a caregiver, so having 45g with me might be too risky to transport, plus I don't know anyone at Mary Jane's. I'm sure they're cool, but the little suspicious demon in my head doesn't like the idea.

Hey guys, does anybody here have any experience with the tap water quality in downtown colorado springs? I just received some clones and wont have meters until later this week. thanks doods
